  • I struggled in my associates so of course I was hesitant on going for my bachelors but there was no comparison. In this video I explain how the bachelors in science of nursing (BSN) is easier than an associates (ADN).

    My ADN was very rigorous and it prepared us to take our NCLEX-RN. My cohort had a passing rate of 100%. When I bridged for my BSN it was very common sense leadership classes in my opinion. Maybe I’m just a natural leader because I didn’t find one BSN course even remotely challenging. I am currently now in the process of pursuing my MSN in leadership and executive administration.

      @Gabriel Michael As long as you go to an accredited ASN program and pass your NCLEX-RN then transferring to your BSN is the easy part. I’d look into Capella or other fast track RN to BSN programs. It can take you under 6 months to complete your BSN with the flexpath through Capella! It’s also just a bunch of writing papers and you do NOT have to retake your NCLEX-RN or anything.

    Thanks for making this video:) I am currently taking my prerequisites and I will apply to both an ADN at a community college I go too and a BSN program this December to hopefully get into a nursing program in the Fall 2021. I like both online and in person classes.

    I am a Vocational Nurse but I like all info you share. This Covid era has made me put a pause in continuing higher degrees. I homeschool my kids and work. Slowly but surely I will obtain RN degree. Community college is my first option. I like how cozy u decorated your room👍

    I am currently in my associate program in nursing. i just passed my second semester and I had so much difficulties to passe it although i was student 24/7 and basically every day. However , i was proposed a scholarship to enroll to a bachelors degree. I am think about taking it at the same time as i am taking my associate and i was wondering of it was something i could success on. Hearing this video makes me want to try it and take one class at the time combined with my associate classes and see how it goes.

    That’s the thing my gpa from a cc is a 3.0 so far so my counselors told me oh I wouldn’t make it in the BSN program. Some counselors can be so unhelpful and negative. I hate it! GPA does matter but other factors are taken into consideration. I literally have 3 to 4 classes plus taking my teas before I enter a ADN program or BSN. It sucks because all the classes already started and are full soI have to wait till next year. However I wanted to work on getting my real estate license, so I can at least feel like I am accomplishing something. Anyone else? In the same 🚣‍♀️

      I hear your 100%. My ADN counselor was really negative and I never left her feeling confident. The journey to becoming a nurse is a long one. I homely do not think you’ll have a problem finding an accepting BSN program just reach out to them your self. Because the nursing journey is so long, when I graduated with my CNA license I went to the ceremony and everything just to celebrate something, just so I could feel like I was doing something. Hang in there

    What do you think about the Lpn to Rn program? I’m an Lpn I also have a BS in Liberal Arts and thinking of startling classes for the RN program but wondered if I should try a Lpn to BSN if possible?

    • @DabidRobinson
      @DabidRobinson  3 года назад

      I have heard of the LPN to RN program but not to BSN. I definitely think you should pursue an RN, but if you can do BSN as well, then do it!! What state do you live in?

    I am currently attending a community college for the ADN degree but struggle with the prerequisite classes . Do you have any studying tips for them?

      The pre reqs are a bit much.... If you school has a training/mentor room, I would go there. When I was in math, I would go there and get help with my homework lol... It was a stuggle

    I'm about to graduate HighSchool can I just go straight to BSN or do I need to do the ADN

    • @DabidRobinson

      You can do a duel enrollment, where you are able to get your BSN while completing your ADN. You can't skip the ADN though

      David Robinson did your work pay for the full cost of your bsn program ?

    • @DabidRobinson
      @DabidRobinson  3 года назад

      No, I did have to have like 2-3 thousand. At my work if you work full time you get 5250 a year and if your part time you get half of that. So I was able to get the 5250, two times but I was still short. So that’s why I had to pay
