- Hey there, welcome to the installation of the EY4 Smart Display and EY4 Throttle on your Dualtron Storm electric scooter ! We'll show you a simple step-by-step process to install the EY4 on Storm. This display will give you all the info you need right at your fingertips, so you can enjoy a smoother ride.

First, we need to remove the tube clamps from the steering column. Now, let's remove the left lower wrap from the left side of the scooter. Gently pop off the left tube cover. Moving on, take off the left upper wrap from the left brake lever. Remove any tape, and carefully clean and separate the wires. Now, we can move on to the next steps in the process. Next, we'll need to remove the battery, then the deck, and the damper. After that, remove the stem cover, followed by the LED PCB controller. Don't forget to separate the wires before removing the right lower wrap and the upper right wrap. Once those are removed, separate the wires again and move on to the EY4 display assembly and handlebar joint. Install the EY4 display bracket, reusing the latch and loosening screws as needed. Remove the grip and remember to reuse nuts and bolts when installing the EY4 throttle. Once the throttle is in place, it's time to reassemble the scooter. First, unplug the EY3 throttle and apply tape as necessary. Then, attach the right tube cover, followed by the left tube cover. Separate cables and apply tape to organize the wires. Plug in any loose connections and connect the 3-pin throttle, as well as the Y-split to the LED. Alternatively, connect the Y-split to the 12V instead. Insert the pins into the 6-pin JST and connect the 6-pin controller. Test the battery and clean the battery compartment before organizing the wiring. Finally, put the deck back on and you're all set!

it is not brain surgery.... If you could learn the basics of the stuff you use this would be nothing... ;)
You forgot it only works ’as intended’ on 2-3 of the newest models, the rest is just for Minimotors to experiment on. After a year, the app, bluetooth and range function is yet to work.
For now, it’s just glorified plastic with a shitty display quality. 👎

EY4 is not compatible with the Minimotors fingerprint sensor.
Taking the grip off is proving a little tricker than it looked.
😂 sometimes I leave out some of the most frustrating parts just for fun.

the ey3 is good enough and also more practical, this is overpriced upgrade just for no reason
Quixk question if i dont have that blue clip will that stop.me from changing my lights though the app ?
To change the lights, you need the new controller. Installing or retrofitting the throttle on models without the standard EY4 doesn't enable light adjustments via the app.

I’m on hour 7 now. The process where he organizes the wires on the bottom next to the dualtron LEDs is critical. I’m the video he did it in a few minutes. This has been such a terrible headache for me and I’ve given up because I cannot tuck the wires in tight enough to screw it down
