I have the AL 6.0 too and i love it. As you said it is so capable and confident inspiring. I changed the brakes and put some Shimano Saints on with 200/200 because i didn't like the Guide R
Glad you like it! I haven’t had issues with the breaks yet, hopefully it stays that way for me... To bad you had a bad experience with the breaks, that’s one part for sure you need to have confidence in!!!
I suck at steep rocky tech, so I’m not really the best to comment on that. I did take it on some black diamond tech trails and to me it felt really good but I don’t think I really pushed the limit of what the bike can handle to be honest.
Been trying to buy a Torque (size medium) for the past 3 months with no luck. Never had a more difficult time trying to spend $4,000. How's the Spectral holding up? And any issues and/or experience dealing with Canyon's customer service? My LBS carries Pivot/Santa Cruz which are obviously sick bikes but for what I could get for $4-5k w Canyon will cost $6k w SC and even more w Pivot.
Nice vid bro. Did you look at the CF7? I’m debating between these two. Not sure if the carbon frame on the CF7 is worth the extra $600. Also, do you feel the front tyre has too much grip? I keep seeing that in reviews. Thanks in advance. 🍻
Thanks man, and didn’t really look at the cf7 much, it was outside the price range I wanted to stay in. For me personally I didn’t think the carbon was worth the extra price but that’s just my opinion. And no, I haven’t noticed anything about the front tire being to grippy.
Yeah the spectral would definately be perfect for that!Depending on how hard you ride the park, if you try really gnarly stuff all the time maybe the tourque or strive would be better suited since they are a little more aggressive I believe. I don’t know much about the tourqe or strive but apparently the strive is good on trail and park from what I heard since it can be changed from climb to decent mood very easily. I will say that the spectral is more than capable for the type of riding I am comfortable with like you see in my videos and I don’t feel the need for anything more than it. Good luck deciding!
bbMTB thanks for the reply. I actually don’t hit super gnarly stuff yet. I’m still on the intermediate side of the bike parks mostly. I’m looking at grabbing the new 2020 spectral AL 6.0 when they go up for sale here in the US. The sales guy in Carlsbad says mid November so I’m saving up.
First review, that I've seen, of someone actually hitting decent size jumps with this bike! Exactly what I wanted to see. Thank you!
Awesome, glad this could help!
Planning on going to highland this summer for my first time. Love the video!
Now that is a flow trail! Wicked video man 🤘🏼
Thanks man, and yeah that trail is awesome, and so are all the other trails at highland
I'm thinking about getting this bike, stoked to see it in use at my local bike park! Thanks for the video

@@bbMTB i would not call it a bad experience. I just wasn't pleased with the performance of the brakes and i allready had the Saints at home.
Bro this was sick
Omg I got this video as a notification for recommend and I swear I thought you were Phil Mets
Thanks for the compliment, although He is 10 times better than I will ever be, but still, thank!!!
Nice run! Greetings from Good old Germany 😉🍺
Thanks! 🍻
Nice work
How tall are you and what frame size have you chosen?
When’s the next backyard build video? Love your channel bro
Thanks for the support dude, and probably won’t be for a couple months if I had to guess. Maybe sooner I hope
Posting a backyard video today
bbMTB just watched it; absolute quality! Who needs Seth anyways?
Hi! Sick vid! Thinking of buying the Canyon Spectral CF 8.0. How does the Spectral handle steep and techy trails? Thanks.
I suck at steep rocky tech, so I’m not really the best to comment on that. I did take it on some black diamond tech trails and to me it felt really good but I don’t think I really pushed the limit of what the bike can handle to be honest.
And thanks man
Sick!
Very cool
It is spectral 6?

It's the canyon spectral 2019?
Yeah it’s the 2019 al 6.0
Hey mate, nice vid!!! Just a quick question, how much was this spectral and is it stock?
Thanks! It was around 2800 us$ and it is stock
Do you ever come to rockburn ?
If so I should ride the trails and not just the jumps they are a lot of fun
Yeah, I’ve ridden there before, that whole area is super fun!
Hi would the al 5.0 also master the bikepark well? What do you think?
Never ridden that one but looking at the components I’m sure that bike could handle anything. Seems like a great build.
Seems like it mostly has similar components to the 6.0
@@bbMTB okay thanks
@@bbMTB Have another question. Do you think that with 140 mm at the front and rear you can jump up to 1 meter? Sorry for the bad English.
pxul definitely I cleared this trail on a 120mm bike

What is your GoPro mount? The footage looks amazing! Chin I'm guessing?
Yeah I think that too. The camera moves with his head. If it was a chest mount it wouldn’t do that
Your in my neck of the woods
Nice run! Would you recommend the spectral as an all arounder bike for mostly bike park days with some big jumping and single tracks mixed in?
ohyea I would recommend the Canyon Torque if you are going to the bike park often
Rezino sweet I’ll check it out thanks

Nice video bro! What grips do you ride with? 😁
Deity knuckleduster. They are the best grips I have used.
Nice!
Nice! Trails been reworked since then. Check out my latest vid for some different views. Lemme know what ya think!
Just watched your highland edit, that was so sick, some insanely good riding and incredible editing. Keep up the great work!!!
@@bbMTB thanks man! You should join for wednesduro sometime such a good night of riding and brews etc.
