The typical wage in Danang is 6-7 million VND (around $250) so yes it's certainly doable to live $650 month. But would you really want the lifestyle on that budget? That's the real Q.
Unless you have a job, work permit , business ,or married to a local , you need to leave the country every 90 days and then apply to re-enter. What happens if you’re denied another Visa ???. Do you take all your “stuff” with you.??? & if your flying out & back those checked bag expences & return flights & transfers & maybe hotel can be $650 as well. There are Visa agents that have Visa Run services for a price depending on which country you exit to. For those that think a quick trip to Cambodia border is cheap….they’ve been stuck in Cambodia for over a week waiting for Visa approval. Just keep that in mind.
Its certainly not convenient as a place like Tbilisi, Georgia but that's just something you need to work with here. I personally haven't heard of anyone getting rejected through the border-run agency that go to laos, but i'm sure it can happen! Thank you for the comment, it's something to keep in mind!
Certainly is, providing you don't chose a place to live that's besides a construction site! They are building hotels and apartments here very fast to keep up with demand!
I’ve been living in Vietnam for several years now and I actually know foreigners who live for under $600 a month. They live in hostels, eat street food, have a few beers at night, and for them it’s a comfortable life. However, everyone is different, and I wouldn’t be comfortable living that way. Most of my Vietnamese friends make an average salary of between $300 and $600 per month, so if you know where the locals eat and spend there free time, you can live very cheaply. I spend about $1,500 per month, have a nice serviced/furnished apartment, eat at restaurants at least once a day, gym membership, 5G cell phone service, transportation, weekend getaways twice a month, weekly massages, and lattes at the coffee shop every evening. By USA standards, I live a very comfortable, upper middle class lifestyle. If you spent $2,000 to $2,500 per month, you could live a very luxurious lifestyle: high rise apartment, longer out-of-town trips, more restaurant dining, daily massages, etc. Regarding pizza, many restaurants offer discounts on certain days of the week, or during slow periods between traditional lunch and dinner times. For example, I’ve always liked Domino’s Pizza, and twice a week they have a buy one, get one free offer. I usually get two 9” pepperoni pizzas and a 1.5 liter water for only $9.61 total.
$1500 is a great number to live! which pizza place do you go to? I just went to olivias pizza last night and got a small pizza for $8. Thank you for the comment!
The Domino’s Pizza chain has a buy one, get one free offer on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. I think Al Fresco’s still offers a discount on pizza between the hours of 3 pm and 5 pm, take away only. Pizza Hut also has discounts on certain days.
Just saw your things on Georgia and I agree after being there for 8 months straight, Three times in Georgia and though I love the countryside and I do have friends there I'm not going back. I've ben in over 40 countries and it's one of the most backwards and I don't know why. I'll be in da nang on the 3rd of February I would like to meet up if you're still going to be there. It will be my fourth trip to Vietnam I guess you could say I like it.
Georgia does some things very right and others very wrong, it is a rather unique place! Well on your 5th trip here i would love to catchup, you can message me on IG: instagram.com/marcuskelly133/

$650 per month all-inclusive is just insane especially compared to here in San Diego! Cannot wait to visit Da Nang hopefully soon!
not cheap for long, since you and others advertise it so much

Sounds great!
But is it quiet enough to focus and work on long hours projects ?
Certainly is, providing you don't chose a place to live that's besides a construction site! They are building hotels and apartments here very fast to keep up with demand!
@MarcusKelly13 hahaha it seems not that quiet all of a sudden 😂

No, you cannot live on 650 per month! Please stop these phony videos!
I appreciate the comment but it's certainly factual! I met someone last night that lives here for around $500 a month.
