10:30 BALD EAGLE'S NEST???? NICE!!! Awesome Elvira #3 cover!!!! And a train ride to C2E2.... that's a great way to travel, Bueller! Cool Spawn comics!!! Thanks for the video!!!!
It’s awesome to see you living life to the fullest and finding good deals in comics is icing on the cake. I can’t wait to see you and Bob on another Coffee and Comics show and all our prayers will be directed to Jen.
Hey Bueller, another good video. I have to admit, I am a bit envious. That batch of SPAWN's you snagged for just a $1 each was a pretty decent score. Good valued haul. 👍👍👍
@@ComicswithBueller The aquarium and museum are nice! I'm only doing Saturday. On Sunday I'm checking out the toy show at the kane county fairgrounds for the first time! It's my first time being on the vendor side! You inspired me to live my best life and it took me a year, but I'm selling instead of buying this year!
Where did you go in Downtown Portland that had such an awesome dollar box?? I can’t think of anything aside from Billy Galaxy, which does have comics but most would probably classify as a vintage collectibles store. I actually haven’t been there more than once, and that was years ago. Congrats on the spawn finds. I just found a Spawn haul myself on FB Marketplace. $40 for issues 51-100 (minus 6 or 7 random issues). But #100 was NOT one of the missing issues 😃 neither was #77. Most were in slab worthy condition too, including #100 and #77 Beautiful lake, by the way. Gotta love our neck of the woods when during the warmer seasons 😃
Oops, just got to the part where you said it was Excalibur. Not quite Downtown Portland, but I had a feeling it might had been Excalibur anyways! That place is a 10-15 minute walk from my apartment 😃 and they’ve got everything!! + they’re super well organized. I do like trying to support the smaller guys though, considering Excalibur is arguably the most heavily supported shop in Portland. Check out Tasteecat Comics off of SE Clinton St. sometime if you get the chance. It’s a tiny little place but they’ve packed it as much as they could while still being organized and easy to move around. Just don’t go there expecting to find specific older issues or more obscure series. Their new comics section is usually pretty well stocked too. And I find the employees to be more friendly and open. I think the place may have been previously called Cloud 9 Comics not that long ago, but I’m not 100% sure.
I’d also recommend Future Dreams. It’s very close to Excalibur. It’s a big basement space that has a comparable size stock to Excalibur. Honestly, they might have an even larger stock, but it’s so poorly organized that it’s really hard to tell. But it’s owned (I assume) by this really kind and knowledgeable old-timer who has been the only person working there every time I’ve visited. So the organizational struggles are understandable, to me. Future Dreams is a place where I feel like you can find some nice deals, if you stay vigilant. There are also a BUNCH of “$1 off cover price” boxes in the back.
Great haul. Also jumped on the energon universe. Prayers to all.
