Just discovered your channel, I have the IE 300 and agree with your assessment of the IEMs, they are very comfortable to use but among my collection of IEMs I would not pick these for sound quality. I actually also have the Hook-X & EF400 both of which you seem to have reviewed so that was interesting. I've subscribed to your channel and hope to see more reviews 😄.
How is the imaging and sound stage of the Maestro minis compared to the IE 300s? I used the IE 300s for gaming and they were amazing. I was able to pinpoint a lot of stuff i wasn’t able to previously. The quality complaints have been terrible though and I had to return 2 IE 300s so I’ve been trying to find a replacement Edit** I’m also contemplating trying out the Hook X or the Zetian Wu’s. The Maestro mini just seemed the closest tuned to the Ie 300s on graphs and I do like a lot of bass
You sound singaporean/malaysian. You seem to have a good collection of IEMs too. How do you feel the OH10s compare to your variations? And perhaps how the variations compare with the blessing 2 dusks in your opinion? Thanks in advance
Good ear, was my accent a little too obvious? Or your IEM's were highly resolving haha. Anyway personally, I feel the bass has more impact and fuller on the OH10 with an almost matching sub bass presentation, but the Variations is quite resolving for its price and it's not as forward as the OH10 so it comes down to preference. I personally go with the OH10 for bass, but everything else is slightly better on the Variations. I have not had a chance on the Blessing 2 Dusk but I do have the Blessing 2 and it has really good mids which I feel is slightly better on the Variations, Variations is a little more recessed, vocals has a lot more presence on the Blessing 2 without sounding forward or shouty, but just lacking that bass quantity and quality. Hope the above helps
Depends on what you perceive as an upgrade, for me it's definitely an upgrade for it's overall sound performance and presentation. Better bass, more forward vocals, clearer treble but it's also much sharper so it can be piercing to some people and if you're treble sensitive, then the ie600 wouldn't necessarily be the one you're looking for as your next upgrade
@rnarexperience thank you! which one would you use for the weeknd songs? also add the ie900 if you have heard them, also with the weeknd's songs specifically (if you happen to listen to him)
Damn that cable is sad. For someone who stays put for hours and hours with their IEMs in their ears, these might work due to the comfort. But besides that, there are so many other options out there. I have heard that the IE600 is a huge step up however.
Yeah I'm curious about the IE600 myself. The cable itself is quite sad as it's really really stiff and unfriendly, but the ear hooks are one of the best so its a toss up. I hope its the same earhooks for the rest of the line up with better cables, we shall see
These are great if you are sensitive to shouty upper mids as I am, these don’t sound recessed in the mids at all to me. Bass is strong but not overbearing. I prefer these to my Isn h40 and nearly as much as my Oxygens. Cable is fine unless fat luminous cables are important to you.
I got this and a fiio fh3, I would recccomend anyone thinking of getting the 300 to just get a fiio fh3 I find it sounds better in every way for all genres bass included.
