As much as I like the classic green Devastator, the Black and Yellow one is probably my favorite of the lot. Not only for the coloring for construction vehicles, but that the color combination is just awesome in general.
The very simple blocky orange vehicules really scream toy over "masterpiece high end figure" while still having ton of quality, an amazingset that screams nostalgia
38:30 the grey armatures on Bonecrusher can tuck up against the body better (assuming they aren't looser on the new release and fall out). They follow the stomach up and then reach out to the chest.
It's been a while, but weren't the flat orange pieces that are included made in the first place to give Long Haul the heels he was missing at first? Peg them into the bottom of his feet. I think their combined mode use was just made up so they have somewhere to go. I have the first run (individual releases), but I was never able to get that upgrade kit for it so since I haven't used it I might be remembering wrong. (I'm still watching, just at where you transition from Long Haul to Bonecrusher, went ahead and posted this so I don't forget).

Don't be too upset. I have a version of this figure, and all I can say is I despise it, it is the biggest waste of money I've ever spent. I feel I've been lied to, it is a chintzy pile of crap that broke 5 times on the first day, and I've been waiting over 6 months for replacement parts. I can't even pose the damn thing any more cause the hip section completely froze up. I HATE this piece of trash.

Yeah I had the same with my BoneCrusher and my Hook's leg ripped in half when I undid his combiner mode broke EVERY screw peg and several of their hands the fingers are completely loose and can't even get them tightened anymore though I got the LE version really sad so many parts breaking for such a high priced figure. After breaking 2 of the 6 figures I just put them on the shelf as is for now too scared to touch them for now.

Does the filler pieces on Long Haul's legs in combine mode able to used in robot and vehicle mode? And you also forgot to pull out the filler pieces on the side of Scrappers chest under his arms to hide the gap.

this is my dream transformer but in reality I made the mistake of leaving it to late to try and buy him and now (accept for super expensive copies) the only version I can find is this orange version and after seeing this review and all the QC issues it might finally be time for me to move on. who knows maybe one day in the future ill be able to find a reasonably priced copy but for now I think Ill have to forget about it. The problems of joining the 3rd party train late. I just found a good priced green version. does anyone know if it has as many QC issues?

Your dream is to own a orange masterpiece Devastator and mine is to own a red Devastator like the one my brother got for Christmas many moons ago and when I tell people that I seen and touch a g1 red Devastator they don't believe me they always said I was probably a g2 an I always said I don't think so since it was 1985 Christmas when he got it and it was the gift set the whole thing came in one box also my other brother got the same gift but it was the regular green color Devastator the funny part it that the toys made it to the store shelves of Puerto Rico years before the cartoon show so we had no idea to which toy line they belong and that is why Devastator has always been my favorite character

I was wondering do you think you will be going in on Xtransbots take on Devy if they follow through on it? It does look to have much more screen accurate bot modes in my opinion based on photos of their Scrapper.

Those QC issues are cumulatively unforgivable. That said, even to this day, the weathered G1 set tempts me to replace my Jin Bao.

Why are the legs on your yellow G2 Devastator swapped?

If you can remove those loose forearms and get some plumbers tape wrapped around the post inside the joint, that will fix them.
