- Rediscover Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith as Tears for Fears as they perform their first single together in some 15 years, "Closest Thing to Heaven" on the UK Tv Show, Des and Mel. The single comes from the album, "Everybody Loves a Happy Ending." Brilliant stuff.
Catch them on tour this summer on the West Coast of the United States (July 2009).
TFF is incredible. Roland's voice is absolute magic!

Roland's voice is incredible...saw him in the 1990s 1993 & 1996 live...then 2023 at the Hollywood Bowl his voice is just so powerful
He IS a genius. He has always used cliches and expressions to support his songwriting, in such a way they just totally sum up his mood. Here they sing about global warming and rising sea levels and he chucks in "bath water and the baby". He's my hero.
I think you're right. I don't know about people that expect him to sound the way he did when he was 25. I think this is downright excellent!!

I think he just recorded this song in a key that demand from him his whole vocal range, hes sometimes hitting a high "B" which is almost the end of his vocal register... I saw another couple of live versions of it and always struggle a bit on those notes.. It surprised me recording it so high.. BUT, he might knows whats the best for his voice.. Stil lovely and warm the way he vocalize it

Assim como os alemães foram insuperáveis na musica clássica, os britânicos nos presentearam com os melhores roqueiros de todas as décadas. Tenho 23anos e com certeza não verei outra banda superar Kurt no baixo, e Roland na guitarra e essa voz.. surreal!!! Roland um caso à parte... No Rock In Rio deste ano, deu show carisma, simpatia... e quando veio perto do publico... eu pelo menos arrepiei de ver o corpaço dele... é lindo gente...perfeito..atemporal...um verdadeiro sonho!!!
