    I'm loving Bauer products!!!
    I have the 22"scroll saw and the 12" drill press. Super craftsmanship on these units.
    Great pricing no bank breakers. Always get the 2 year warranty so if there is a problem you can take it back to have it fixed or in most cases they just give you a new product for replacement.
    Thanks for the video.
    I will be looking for this rider fence now🎉

      @leslieapplegate65 I’d say 99% of the time, HF employees do here as well. That’s a huge part of why they get my business compared to the bigger box stores. At the orange and blue store, you’re kinda on your own.

    Appreciate the review. Especially about the exploding spring in the back, I’ll try not to do that! Just picked it up today. Seems decent enough. Haven’t tried it out yet. Another reviewer mentioned the metal set screws scraping on his aluminum saw. I also have an aluminum topped table saw. I filled the miter slot set screws halfway with hot glue, then sliced it off. Micro-adjust forward to adjust the fit to the slot! The new plastic set screws tips may not want to back out well, one works perfectly, goes back and forth with the set screw. The other two so far only bulge out slightly, but all three are now snug fits, without the metal screws needing to scrape. Maybe give it a try.
    Thanks.

      The review at 731 Woodworks found the detents to be slightly off. Gotta make sure you tighten the red knob in the back first, before the handle. I also snugged the bolt on the stop so it has less play. The handful of cuts I’ve made have been about as spot on as I’ll ever need. Price and precision seem a good match for my Kobalt job site table saw. If I had a nicer saw, I’d probably get a nicer fence/guage combo. I do appreciate the compact size. Microadjust stop would be nice, but overall very happy so far. I do plan to get some nylon tipped set screws for the miter bar. I understand it’s not for everyone in every situation, but depending on what you’re pairing it up with I believe it could serve you well for years.

    • @GothamDIYandMore
      @GothamDIYandMore  6 часов назад +1

      @Wooden_Gadgeteer I just saw that. I didn’t have this issue luckily but I’m sure it’s a QC issue. I like that’s it’s compact as well. For $45, I have to say I’m extremely happy with it. There are better but for much more money.

  • @philshock3805
    @philshock3805 13 дней назад +1

    Thanks for the video, I haven't seen this before. Looks like you can adjust the angle indicator but not the fence itself. If the angle is spot on no big deal but if it's off, you're stuck because those detents won't allow any adjustment. You'd need to shim it somehow to bring it into square. (Probably between the aluminum fence and bracket.) The more expensive offerings (which I have), allow this adjustment but this might be worth picking up for additional setups without the need to disturb the other.

    Rockler blue knobs fit perfectly. Easy to tighten/loosen. Neoprene washer fits just fine resolves handle issue. Neither of our local stores now have it, out of stock, eith now restock date available. I love my Red Tool box that was given to me as a gift.

  • @Conan_Obrien

    Thanks for your video. A couple questions:
    1. Are there any adjustments on the metal bar that slides into the miter slots on your table saw? Its nice to be able to calibrate this to be firm but still smooth as you push it.
    2. How much deflection is there in the aluminum fence when you extend it open all the way? I see those two skinny rods help it extend and wonder how solid/accurate it stays all the way out at the left end. Does it flex enough to throw off a 90 degree cut on a longer board?

    • @GothamDIYandMore
      @GothamDIYandMore  14 дней назад +1

      @Conan_Obrien You’re welcome! Hope this answers your questions:
      1. Yes, the metal bar has two small hex screws that you can adjust left or right so that it sits firmly in the slot.
      2. Fully extended it can wiggle/bend/twist a little HOWEVER it comes with the “Fence Extension Lock Knob.” This tightens it does. So that it does NOT wiggle/bend/twist and can also be used to prevent the extension from fall out. So, you can keep 90 even on a longer board.

    Being persistent with the employees can get what you want with them. It can say that it is in stock, and if it isn't there ask an employee, and wait for them to look and then say that it is in stock as per web. Give the supposed location and wait for them to look for it. AKA wait for them to find it. They tend to look better in back when you wait and state that it is there.

      @mikewatson4644 I agree! The Harbor Freight employees are always happy and pretty knowledgeable. If one doesn’t know something, they ask a different employee but always get things resolved. @joecorley1627 Appreciate the feedback and you’re very welcome! I think that for the price/quality, it’s hard to find something similar. Can you find something better? Yes, but not even close to this price.

      @scottmichael3745 Lol thank you! Some people like the fluff, some definitely don’t so I added the chapters for this video but I appreciate the feedback! For future videos, I’ll work on the brevity. In this video I think a lot of people are confusing “brief” with me saying it was “rushed.” Thanks for the support!

      @GothamDIYandMore Naa man, it wasn't "rushed" per say. You're new to this (I know Nothing of this venue) so that means you're learning. I as a viewer can simply give a humble opinion. You do realize that nobody would have bothered to comment if we didn't like you? Theirs something likeable about ya. And it wasn't rushed, at least not the filming, but maybe the editing was rushed a bit. Face it broski, you audience is men, we have a short attention span. Good luck man, I believe in you. I'll keep watching 🍻
