- I don't know if I can justify $400 miter gauges. So I took a chance on this @vevor.official Vevor Precision Miter Gauge and I was pleasantly surprised

UPDATE: Vevor has been restocking the mitre gauge here and there. Click on the link and if you're lucky you might get it when they have it. They actually reduced the price so it's even better value
I did what you did, took a chance and was impressed, solid and accurate out of the box, you can't ask for more. I bought their circular saw blade sharpener too, it's brilliant, and free delivery in Europe - nice.
Oh wow.. They have circular saw blade sharpener? What did you use it for?
I've heard & saw this before, great review! The one question I will have to check on is if the runner comes as working with "tabs" as I have a Craftsman tablesaw so I have to use a runner that fits it. And, this miter gage is a helluva lot better than the one I have! That's for sure. 😂😂😂 Thanks for your honest review.
Thank you for watching. The runner comes with set screw.. It should fit most 3/4 inch slot. If your craftsman top. Opening is 3/4 inch. It should fit.
Great video, your concept and content were off the chart and I enjoyed watching and seeing you evaluate the Vevor miter gauge
Thank you for watching!
Loved the video. Your explanation of the miter gauge was excellent, in fact, I purchased one as well. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you for watching!
Great review! I just bought this exact miter gauge about a month ago. Took a risk since there weren't many reviews at the time. I love your idea about offsetting it a known quantity. I think I'll steal that idea and see if I can add an attached extension on the right side that is removable and sacrificial.
Love it! Let me know how the offset works!
"Confused Canadian" Lol, yup. I'm 6' tall, 200lbs and right now it's 19deg celsius and I'm about 5km from the store I'll be going to in the next hour.
I love it when someone get my lame joke 🤣
@@doityoseph: No, not lame.
That is usually referred to as "tongue in cheek"
or "dry" humor. Love it. 🤣🤣🤣👍👍😁🖖✌
I have the version without the extendable fence since I use a jobsite saw in my small shop. I like the miter gauge.
Yeah! I think this is the best value aftermarket miter gauge in the market.
I have seen this miter gauge and I appreciate your opinion!
Thank you for watching!
Great review.
Thank you for watching!
I’m a new subscriber, I’m liking what you’re doing 😊
Thanks for watching! Appreciate it!
Great vid, thanks!
I'm wondering if the fence is aluminum, it would be ok to use a carbide blade just skimming the end of the fence so you could use the ruler-scale without subtracting an offset, and it would help with preventing tearout on the backside of the cut (like a zero-clearance insert does in the table top). Or, with the blade all the way up, intentionally skim a bit off the end once (1mm? 1/32"?) and then use something like this process to calibrate positioning the fence the correct distance from the blade: place an object of known length (1-2-3 block) against the widest tooth of the blade, set the stop to be exactly at the corresponding length on the ruler, then slide the fence and stop (locked together) against the object, then lock the fence to the handle/slide/head. You could even use a similar process along with the micro-adjuster to precisely setup how much of the fence you want to skim off at the beginning. Anyway, thanks for the great review of this that I'd never heard of. I'm definitely adding it to my wish list. 😊
I thought about this. And really if you know the offset, you can just put a sticker tape for the measurement. I just like to leave my gauge as is. But there's plenty of workarounds to try for sure!
I'd take a hack saw and cut off a 1/4 inch, then line it up... Assuming it was made to allow for that.
Thanks, I was looking at getting that one or one similar and this video helped.
Glad that the video helped you make your decision!
Since the whole thing is still hanging on a single point: standard table saw slot, I am wondering how stable it can be. Is there any other reason they don't make two slots on the table except cost? If there were two slots, it would be much easier to make a stable structure between them.
P.ease review more Vevor. Great job!🎉
I wish you would have shown how you tightened up the bar in the mitre slot.
Hi, the miter slot only uses set screws. You loosen the screw out a bit so it protudes out and it will fit the miter bar a bit better.
Not as good as the other more expensive miter gauge but it works
Nice job!
Site says they have none and don't know when they may have any more
😭 Oh its so unfortunate.. They don't even have it on Amazon anymore.. Its such a great value miter gauge.. Hopefully it's back in stock soon.. Sorry
@@doityoseph Yes, it has been sold out everywhere, even retail outlets, for about 2 months now.
If it is aluminum can't you buzz off the end of the fence to get the ruler in the correct spot next to the blade?
You can but you still need a bit of offset. If you cut it, then the fence still need to be really close to the blade. But you definitely can. I just prefer to keep it as is. Thanks for watching!
@@doityosephThanks, Great video. I just ordered one.
@@MrDjslav5 thank you! Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I do!
The box is for the Cat whats inside is for you
🤣
Does this mitre gauge fit on a Bosch table saw, do you know?
I'm not sure. But from what I know miter gauge slot are standard for most saw. Except for Ryobi. So chances are it should fit but I don't know for sure
@ycmakes thank you that's much appreciated 👏
You have enough money for a Saw Stop but not enough for a decent miter gauge ?
I liked the music.
I actually got the sawstop off marketplace for a very good deal! Also 250 to 300 bucks miter gauge seems excessive.
0:06 I also don't know if it's pronounced "Vevor" or "Vevor" 🫠
Just like temu or temu? 😅
