  • In our 3rd session of the Health Equi-T & Justice in Medicine (HEJIM) monthly series, we have amazing speakers: Dr. Seun Ross, Dr. Aaron Baugh, and Dr. Jessica Dale, DNP. Dr. Ross laid the groundwork by defining Race Based Medicine, examples of how it shows up in medicine and healthcare, it’s impact and how we eliminate it by learning from the Philadelphia Coalition to End Race Based Medicine. Dr. Baugh provided an overview of race correction using the history of and current use of Pulmonary Function Tests as an example. Finally Dr. Dale provided a case study using how Trulite software as a solution for identifying and correcting race based medicine in practice and medical education.
