      With Wonka being framed for being the Villain, with the real one still roaming free.
      And a secret plot twist the unknown the villain being 2 disgruntled overworked chocolate deprived oompa loompa's on each other, that are in a trench coat holding a chocolate spatula as a manchette.

    This happens once a year in the UK - normally it is at Christmas, where there will be a very underwhelming "winter wonderland" that makes the news. A different one each year.
    + Lemonade in the UK contains no actual lemons, just water, carbonation and citric acid. If you want real lemons, you have to order "cloudy lemonade", which is a totally different drink.

    • @MMoo222

      @kevinj33 Not really. RUclipsrs hold events for themselves all the time. Instead of the event being held by one creator for themselves, it would be an experience for any creator that owns a candy business. To help collaborate with bigger creators and make broaden their sales. Basically, it would be a "candy wonderland experience " held by creators. With the money raised by the event, it could go to a bunch of charities.

    So the bit with the "Unknown" and the fact that that he is hooved up with a vacuum is a rip-off out of "The Mighty Boosh" which is an old-ish obscure goofy comedy show on British TV. Anyways, the "Unknown" is supposed to be "The Spirit of Jazz", and he gets defeated by being hoovered up by a vacuum in that show. Clearly the creator of this event was a somewhat fan of that show.
    Not really all that shocked that no one else has pointed this out because that show was, again, obscure and kinda weird.

    The worst part is that I genuinely like the story of the Unknown. It feels like a creepy pasta parody of willy Wonka that became official. I hope this story takes off in a soulless modern remake of a cult classic kind of way and the Wanka movie gets a squeal with the unknown as the villain.

    No, Brett. That Spongebob episode wasn't about a 'Krabby Patty Festival'. The episode's called 'Krabby Land', and it takes place during the summer time, when Mr. Krabs sets up a crude theme park in order to screw kids out of their pocket money (he also hypes up 'Krabby The Clown' as a special guest, but this turns out to be a lie). He does get his comeuppance in the end; he gets force-fed lima beans.
    As for the ridiculous Willy Wonka con in Glasgow (which is pronounced as Glaz-go, by the way), I'm neither shocked nor entertained by this fiasco. But I will say that it's unbelievably devious for the event organisers to use blatantly false advertising.

    Wait a minute. The Unknown is a rival chocolate maker? Didn’t the 1970’s film (which was written by Dahl himself BTW) create a rival chocolate maker named Slugworth as a secret test to see who had enough integrity?

    • @MuljoStpho
      @MuljoStpho 8 месяцев назад +1

      Slugworth and a couple other names are mentioned in the book briefly in the bit of back story about why Wonka isolated himself in his factory. The studio that made that movie invented that integrity test plot thread.

The w is very silent, actually non-existent, and all the really is over pronounced is the 2 g's But like I said funny, hearing someone not from the central belt of Scotland pronounced it. As it depends on where in Scotland you're from, it may sound different. Love the videos, thank you

The book very briefly mentioned Slugworth and the other rivals (since they're back story on why Wonka isolated himself in his factory) but didn't have that movie's plot thread of the fake Slugworth working for Wonka by stalking the locations where tickets had been sent to pounce on the children with his espionage offer.

    LOVED IT!!!!!!
    It was nostalgic in the best way. They brought back that whimsical joy that seems to be missing in a lot of what is coming out right now. Timotheè was a delight. I know a lot of conservatives don't like him because he is classed as a 'pretty boy' but I love his acting and how expressive his eyes are.
