Sure, there was a time when we didn't have asbestos clothing and Pyrex face shields, but even back then they wore big heavy leather clothing and heavy footwear that would protect the foot long enough to get the laceless shoe off.

In a country that makes wheelbarrows out of old oil drums, you would think somebody might be using a wheelbarrow instead of a large bowl to transfer the casting sand. I have yet to see any videos of Pakistani workers who 'work smarter not harder'.
So tell me, when did they blow out the mold?...with all that standing on the mold and all those added inserts this would have been a critical step! And the ladles? No way those ladles would be that hot just before casting filling them up the way they did, what are they not showing us? What did they add? Pretty bad breakout during that pouring, where did it go? Hmmm!
Their bid was probably $100,000 less than the nearest competitor. You can tell they don't do this very often. Large turbine Wheels. I'm certain they said sure, we'll get it done. They did.

The company owner should be prosecuted for lack of responsibility towards the employees, not giving them any PPE, no heavy lifting equipment, no proper ventilation etc . People will comment that its in a developing country and its not the norm to follow western H&S standards, but it will never improve or make the safety of the workers better by just ignoring it.
Pakistan is not a developing country. You are watching people working for very little pay in a poor part of the province. The profit margins on the products they make just do not allow for the simple working pleasures we are accustomed to, like PPE and a safe and proper working environment. I think that the owners of many of these small factories like to hang on to as much profit as they can as well, so the employees don't see a great paycheck or cash for the long hours worked. No workplace insurance either. If someone gets hurt, they just have to muster up and deal with it or lose the job to someone else. Some owners do their best to take care of their workforce, but I think that is a rarity for sure. God bless you all!

This could also have been made with bent steel plates. There is no need to cast it using a complex process.
