2 years in on my GT4 981 : Yep love it. And a day with UTAC in Bedfordshire really opened my eyes to how to get the most out of it. More to learn but am on my way. Came from E46M3 after 13 years (also lucky to have an FK8CTR for people to fit in etc) and it does require a different approach. It is lighter with more torque than the M3, so initially was slightly 'timid' with it in the wet... Have LOTS of fun.
Great video mate. I’m kind of contemplating selling my Mk2 Focus RS MR375 at some stage and biting the bullet to get one of these…! Do you still own it? How’s it been long term?
Love your content even though I’m not a big Ford fan. Though, I’m not sure this kind of Porsche would do as well for views, apart from maintenance I can’t see it creating that much content. It wouldn’t stop me though!
@@Throttle.Monkey thanks mate. Yea it wouldn’t be for content, purely a personal thing especially as I’m approaching 40 now. Be a nice present to myself 😂
nice video tom! I am happy you're so thrilled with the car. unsolicited former porsche brand ambassador anecdote: if the clutch is heavy, the pressure plate may have gotten cooked. brand new, the clutch is marshmallow light on these cars. if the clutch is not slipping under load or chattering from a getaway, there's no need to replace it anew. but, if it's already heavy, plan for the likelihood down the road that you'll need both a clutch pack and a new dual mass flywheel. the flywheel guibos get worn out if they're overheated - and that is what causes the chattering, once it does arrive. hit me up if you ever have questions about the car! and congratulations
@@Redducati1199 Yes, 981 clutch is heavy out of the factory, the 718 clutch is feather light. Just in case anyone reading this starts to worry their 981 clutch is fried.
Just got my 981 gt4. 100% the dream coming true. Cheers!
sport mode gives you rev matching and it also opens the third radiator. You'll see the radiator temps drop quite a bit after putting it in sport.
Bought mine a year ago now. Incredible car. Enjoy!

Thanks so much! Have really loved seeing your work on the PCM 4 in the 981, is definitely something I'd love on mine sometime.
