Charlie Eisenhood needs to do more MPO events! Most professional play-by-play commentator we have and he pairs with anyone so well. Brian, as always, is fantastic in whatever role he's in.
Agreed, I could live with Brian if he's the 2nd man but my dream duo is Charlie and Sexton. Maybe down the road when Sexton hangs it up on the course. But Charlie and Brian really improve the commentary from what we've had. Ian and Philo just are not good together for an audience stand point.
We can sum this up real easy. Ezra started the day 1 back. Ezra shot 11 under par for the day. Ezra basically cannot win the event now. AB dropped trow on this field. Absolute dunkfest.
I just want to see great drives and great approaches. It's completely unnecessary to show C1 putts as "Highlights". C2 and beyond should be the minimum.
Is it just me or does this course seem way too easy for a pro tour event? There are like three greens where players have to be mindful of the angle that the disc comes in at, two holes with any notable elevation Factor, and maybe three holes where the out of bounds is daunting on one of the shots... It says a lot when the leader hits a 35 ft putt and has to straddle maybe 2 ft out of the tree line and the announcers glaze him like he just performed something impossible... I'm not here to hate on any of the players, I just feel like this course was the caliber of a local BTier event.
These are pretty boring courses to watch and it does not set up well for last round drama. I cannot see AB having THAT much trouble on this course today. He can easily shoot -8 down, which forces Ezra to shoot -14 just to tie. No wind = easy course.
For sure skating a line on foot fault or not still from Ezra. I know people will get mad by this comment because they probably use this same method of putting and don't see it as a foot fault... Disc has to be out of hand before your feet leave your lie. But if the card won't call it i guess its not a a foot fault right?
It is 100% a foot fault but this method of step-putting has essentially been grandfathered into the rules. Unless the PDGA get officials on the course more routinely, it won’t change.

As Brian said, AB had to work for that -16. He had a ton of circle's edge putts. He earned that course record.

Its open which makes it easier for pros, but if the wind picks up it will be different, so it depends on the current day conditions
