Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron - Main Theme (Piano Version)
Piano Version by Patrik Pietschmann
Some of you have been asking for it for a very long time, now it's finally done. The music from "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" is one of my favorite Hans Zimmer soundtracks, even though I haven't seen the movie yet. This piano version is based on the tracks "Homeland" and "Run Free". Enjoy the longest arrangement I've done so far! - Видеоклипы
"The story that I want to tell you cannot be found in a book. They say the history of the West was written from the saddle of a horse, but it's never been told from the heart of one. Not till now. I was born here, in this place that would come to be called the old West. But to my kind, the land was ageless. It had no beginning and no end, no boundary between Earth and sky. Like the wind in the buffalo grass, we belonged here. We would always belong here. They say the Mustang is the spirit of the West. Whether that West was won or lost in the end, you'll have to decide for yourself. But the story that I want to tell you, is true. I was there, and I remember. I remember the sun and the sky and the wind calling my name, in a time when wild horses ran free."
*remembers in Matt Damon* 🤔🤭
Don't make me cry
Jason Bourne voices a good horse brain 😂
Mongolia is the only country in the world that has wild horsres any longer. By the end of this century I don't believe you will be able to find any wild horses any longer...
omg I got goosebumps just from reading this
Honestly, being a movie with so little dialogue, Spirit really relied heavily on its music. The fact that you were able to catch so much of the story in this cover is really incredible
Go Patrik !!!!
Spirit is a great movie, especially through its use of music
YES. This soundtrack is so underrated..
One of Hans Zimmer's less appreciated and known work. Truly a beauty and underrated
Thats part if what made it such a great movie because it could convey so much emotion with so few words!
"In the days when wild horses...
were FREE"
It never really occurred to me before, but no matter how hectic the theme becomes, there's still hints of the Homeland theme. Spirit never stops wanting and actively trying to get home, no matter what's happening around him.
You know, I've always been aware of the parts of the Homeland theme that keep slipping in, but never put into words what that means...probably because it's so obvious. But that doesn't keep it from having a resonant meaning. So thanks for stating it, I love it. :)
❤❤❤

Me: Finally, inner peace.

Soo much nostalgia in 9 minutes.
Now that you’ve done Spirit, I’d just about die from happiness if you went on to arrange a cover for The Prince of Egypt- one of the best animated films of all time.
Agreed!
*YES!!!*
Oh please!!!
OH MY GOSH PLEASE
Yes please!!!
I just got hit with the biggest wave of nostalgia, Spirit was the only movie I had as a child due to how expansive and hard movies were to get, I watched it over and over again, this video got me right in the feels. Thank you so much
I love this song!!! He plays it so well
One of my childhood movies! Really brings back memories!!
ME TOO!
Thank you 😭😭❤️

YES. This soundtrack is so underrated..

Patrick is a person that changed my life. Forever
I am utterly speechless. I think I suggested this cover on almost every video u posted in the past year, and here you are delivering in a way I didn’t even dare to hope for. Homeland and Run Free are two incredibly uplifting and touching compositions and you have done the great Hans Zimmer justice once again. Tears to my eyes as my heart filled with pure happiness and nostalgia. Thank you so much, Patrik.
how are you speechless with 4 lines of text?

I’m pretty surprised he would do a cover of this masterpiece of a song!! this cover is a amzing!!!
This was my favorite childhood movie. Seriously, I watched it maybe over 100 times all the way through. Amid a turbulent childhood, it was one of my favorite memories. I even plan on getting a spirit tattoo :). Thank you SO much for this, I truly loved every second. It brought tears and laughter to my face.
This is the reason why i started taking piano lessons. I haven't looked back ever since. Thank you so much Patrick
that's great, now because of him i do crazy arrangements of my own, i even made a complicated version of twinkle twinkle little star, so never stop playing
LOOK OUT THERES SOMETHING BEHIND YOU
Ahhh I’ve wanted to play this forever but couldn’t find a good version, thanks so much for doing this!
awesome, I was listening to these "Spirit, stalion . . ." soundtracks whole week and I was just hoping that one day you will do some epic cover. And here we are! It's awesome. Thanks
YEAH WE FINALLY GOT SPIRIT! And it's 9 minutes long! 🙂
A couple of requests that I'd love to hear:
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly/Ecstacy of Gold
The Dragon Prince OST (Was nominated for an Oscar in 2020)
The Terminator
La La Land
The Hunger Games- Horn of Plenty
“See You Tomorrow” and/or “This is Berk” from How to Train Your Dragon
He already did How to Train your Dragon
@@jiach2638 Not the two pieces I mentioned though, they're different than the ones he did already
Horn of Plenty is a good Idea.
Bro no Hans Zimmer? Delete your list. XD
I'd rather have Primrose, Returning Home (Tenuous Winners), or Rue's Farewell from Hunger Games. Best songs of the whole series.
Home from Lone Ranger - Hans Zimmer
wow finally. Huhu.
Normally I would ask you to arrange ...
But today i am just saying thank you!
There’s so many videos I’ve rewatched COUNTLESS times because of how good they are. You’re literally the reason why I’m saving to get a piano now, I wanna be able to do somewhat what you can do.
I cannot even begin to explain how happy I was when I saw this notification. This is the most excited I’ve been for one of your videos since your Star award stuff. And this cover is awesome. This was one of my favorite childhood movies, and still has one of my favorite Hans Zimmer scores. This might be my favorite thing to play when I sit at the piano.
I saw this movie in te theaters when I was 3.
My famely always tells me that when the narratior said "In the days when wild horses... were FREE" - and then the music came in a roar and all the horses bursted into the screen - I stood up in my chair, full of exitment, and started Rejoicing like a horse "hiii haaa!!!"
some pepole in the audiance didn't like it, but many did...
This movie means so much to me. It brings back such good childhood memories... Thank you Patrick!
Since Spirit is my favorite childhood movie, I'll definitely be playing this on loop for a long time. Thanks for such an amazing upload. A marvelous blast from the past.
Thank you so much Patrik!! This is not only a part of the childhood of literally everyone, it is also beautiful music, and Hans Zimmer x Patrik Pietschmann, can it get any better?
This is the one... I have tried to learn many of your songs before but this one spoke to me. Your playing is the best I've ever seen. I hope to get to your level of playing someday
I first saw this movie when it was released in 2002. Over the next nearly 2 decades, I have lost count of how many times I have seen this. I was 20 then and have a 7 year old son now, who also loves this movie. It was Zimmer's absolutely incredible music and Bryan's soulful voice that made this movie from amazing to outstanding.
Thank you so much for bringing back all those old memories. A superb piece beautifully put together.
YES! Finally an arrangement of the Spirit Soundtrack! And such a good one, I had goosebumps all over my body. It's incredible. I heard the music and had the scenes in front of me like I was watching the movie.
I've knew Hans Zimmer hearing this songs. So emotional, my heart broke on every scene played.
There is some sort of charming vibe whenever you arrange Hans Zimmer's music and keep it up Patrik , you will definitely achieve much greater
Absolute chills ❤, 10th time listening to it this week and I am still getting chills.
You're honestly brilliant man. Keep on going dude, I'm sure everyone appreciates what you do. Thank you, Patrik!❤️

Spirit stallion of the cimmaron really one of my favourite films. As a kid I use to watch it over and over again every single day I know what happens at the beginning to the very end and seeing this brings back memories and so I say well done to the artist who learnt the music to that film.🙂👍😃👍
I love this movie's main melody/leitmotif.
Princess Rosalina. What an honour. I love this too.

Thank you for putting the effort into this! A nine minute performance without any mistakes is no easy feat. I'm sorry that none of your recent videos have hit a million views yet, but hopefully it will change. Meanwhile, we're here to support you! I swear he makes the pieces come alive. And he literally composes his own arrangements. Excellent work
Finally! Thank you for doig this!
Absolutely stunning! Everytime I hear this soundtrack I am reminded how much I love it and why I should listen to it more. Your arrangement does Hans Zimmer justice, like always. You always manage to create full, accurate, and clear arrangements. Again, amazing!
Time to get amazed by this much highly deserving genius
I still love this after so many years, the only animated film that's way too...
Ah, yes! This is my childhood! ❤
You know why the music is so incredible? It sounds like freedom, like running free with no boundaries. It sounds like the wind feels when you run with it. Like standing at the edge of the Earth and feeling like you can fly.
And you can. You can fly like an eagle. You can fly like Spirit.
Honestly this is a MONSTER of a piece. This is truly beyond impressive and also to be able to arrange for piano. I’m blown away… trying to learn it but it’s 18 pages and all those key changes… hopefully I make it through 👍🏼 Hans Zimmer is a legend.
I just started with this song, I'm new to playing piano so I must be careful not to start learning how to play bunch of songs and focus on one at the time
My daily dose of crying to beautiful music, thank you.
OMG OMG OMG OMG he actually did it😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 amazing
Not to sound ungrateful, but I hope it is more longer. Damn. It's perfect. I was very little when I first saw this and until now I still rewatch the movie whenever I want. The feels never gets old. Hearing your rendition melts my soul.😭❤️ Pianist really adds something beautiful in life.
You've taken me back to my childhood with that beautiful version of I will always return. 🐎This was my fav movie as a kid. I even had a sprite plush toy this movie still holds a place in my heart today thank you 😥😭😊
Wow, thank you so much. My favorite soundtrack played on my favorite instrument the day before my birthday, perfect gift!
I broke down into tears in the first few seconds, this is magnificent 🥹
It's a Friday going into a three day weekend. What could possibly make today any better!?
Patrik: Here you go.
This is a masterpiece, sir. I can't tell you how much I enjoy your playing.
Can we please note the fact, that He Played this one take without one Single mistake😳
all his songs are flawless, that's the point
Either that... or hes very very good at cutting :D
@@jonesen4395 they are only a few rare pianists here in youtube that their videos MUST be flawless, completely perfect. only patrik and rousseau are like this as far as i know
@@thefaze1096 I’m pretty sure Kassia also does this (Correct me if I’m wrong)
@@davidnguyen501 actually not. Patrik and rousseau even measure for how long they will be pressing each note for the synthesia vizualizer to come out perfectly. kassia doesn’t has a perfect playing and i’ve seen many mistakes in her playing in more difficult songs
of course she is not bad at all, but it’s not rousseau’s level of perfection (even if he edits a few things or other)
I’m playing this song when I walk down the aisle 100% 💙💙 my boyfriend loves the songs from spirit and I made him watch it and he absolutely adores it, I told him I want a horse like spirit and rain, and he said I could get a horse just like him and her when we get some property!!! ❤❤

I waited for this Video since i discoverd your Channel 4 years ago and finally it is here. Thank you so much for this amazing and wonderful arrangement. I guess i have to buy a Piano now.
Hans Zimmer composed the music of soo many of my childhood movies and i never knew
And Patrik just brings the nostalgia like a frickin' truck, he never fails to deliver

Hallo Patrik,
Also nochmal, vielen, vielen Dank für Deine tolle Arbeit
Cheers
Vielen, vielen Dank für deinen tollen Kommentar! 😃

I just want to say thank you. Thank you for the incredibly ingenious videos that you bring us month after month. It is really remarkable how you can produce this type of video in such short intervals and make it available to the community for free. There is no denying that here on YT you are, by far, making the best arrangements. In my ears, these always contain exactly the right amount of musical design options and still not too many bells and whistles (I didn't know how to express it otherwise, since I'm not a music expert ^^). And of course there are also these incredibly beautiful and always matching visualizations that offer that unmistakable Patrik Pietschmann look.
It's really amazing what music can do to you, especially when you think about the fact that it is always "only" about a single instrument.
So again, thank you very much for your great work

I hear the wind call your name
It calls me back home again
It sparks up the fire, a flame that still burns
Oh, it's to you, I'll always return, yeah
I still feel your breath on my skin
I hear your voice deep within
The sound of my lover, a feeling so strong
Oh, it's to you, I'll always belong
Now I know it's true, yeah
My every road leads to you
And in the hour of darkness, darling
Your light gets me through
Wanna swim in your river
Be warm by your sun
Bathe in your waters
'Cause you are the one
I can't stand the distance
I can't dream alone
I can't wait to see you
Yes, I'm on my way home
I'm on my way
Oh, I hear the wind call your name
The sound that leads me home again
It sparks up the fire, a flame that still burns
Oh, it's to you I will always return
Wanna swim in your river
Be warm by your sun
Bathe in your waters
'Cause you are the one
I can't stand the distance
I can't dream alone
I can't wait to see you
'Cause I'm on my way home
Oh, I hear the wind call your name
The sound that leads me home again
It sparks up the fire, a flame that still burns
Yeah, I'm on way, I will always return
Yes, I will always return
I've seen every sunset
And with all that I've learned, oh
It's to you I will always, always return
