Shea moisture always has a problem with packaging things in the wrong containers I would say. Things that should be liquid are in jars and things that are so thick they should not be in bottle are in jar containers. I don't understand
I use the milk with a different gel because I feel the same as you about their gels, so I didn't even bother buying it. No flaking at all with the milk, in fact my curls are very hydrated and happy with the milk.
I know this is late but try applying by tapping your fingers in the gel and then apply to your hair. The gel liquefies and spreads and coats the strands like water. Literally a little goes a long way lol. This technique leaves my hair moisturized, great definition, and no frizz for 4-5 days and absolutely no flakes. This has become one of my faves.
I gave the max hold gel a couple tries and no matter how light handed I was it flaked😟. I mean flaked so bad I needed to wash my hair the next day. I hate to waste products but I threw it in the trash🤷🏾♀️. Her hair looks nice though.
I tried to order the Manuka 🍯 Leave in online from target like 2 weeks ago and they sent me the Shampoo 🤦🏽♀️. I still haven’t bought it though. I liked the custard but it was really heavy on my hair too. I think I may stick to all the other milks from them. Thanks for sharing 💕
I absolutely love the Manuka Honey and Mafura collection. I just bought the Leave In Milk milk from my local Walgreens but I haven't gotten around to using it yet. I already can see that it's super thick. I don't know if I'll purchase any of the gels though. Who am I kidding I'm a product junkie and I have to at least try them out once and pass them along to my baby sis Renee or my daughter Le'Asia in case my hair doesn't like them. I have a love/hate relationship with gels. Btw I came across your channel looking for a review of the milk so your detailed video earned you a new subbie.
Good review! I can't wait to try the coconut hibiscus mask. Yass😃. That leave in looks very thick. My hair likes thick products but that might be too thick.
I warmed it and was so surmised my hair was so super soft , moisturized and smelled so good. And detangling was a breeze and didn’t have to add anything else to detangle . I left it in way more then 3 minutes maybe 30 to 40 I have very thick hair .

That’s so funny. I didn’t even think about that. The containers should be switched lol 😂

I have the leave in milk that I love. I’m now eager to try the custard because it seems easier to work with and comes with more product.

Angela H aww thanks! It’s worth a try. I’m a product junkie too so I get it lol
yeah, I had residue and flaking with the Jamaican Black Castor Oil gel. It really seemed to take away the shine. I'm disappointed.
