I actually got chills when you said “imagine seeing all those lights and realizing that each of them was a person,” during mikrokosmos, because- the translation of the chorus of mikrokosmos is, “Perhaps the reason this night looks so beautiful, Is not because of these stars or lights, but us...” and you were able to absorb the message of the song even without understanding the lyrics!! 💜💜💜

Fun fact: this is an award show, not a concert. The concert is even more amazing! Also, the lights that the audiences hold were called ARMY BOMB. it's an official light stick of bts fanclub. Only ARMYS have those particular light stick. To sum up, almost everyone in the audience were ARMYS 😂 And no, they didn't give you those before awards shows. We bought it on BTS official merch store. On concerts you can connect it via Bluetooth and it will synchronize and change collours acc to the songs forming beautiful lights formation. You should check out the concert vids! For real... ARMY Bombs cost around $30 in Korea, $50-60 internationally. Hard to find (only at concerts and online when it's not out of stock). They're connected to synchronize colors or create words, etc... And yeah 90% of the audience was definitely ARMY... Wherever BTS goes, it becomes their own concert (including all Asian award shows, Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards...)

Their concerts are even crazier, I went to one last summer and they had the whole shabang. They somehow inflated a whole bouncy castle on stage without any of the audience noticing, and Jungkook literally FLEW on a harness across the stadium. It was wild
The smiley one is J-Hope, he's our angel, our hope, and our sunshine and is a rapper. Their concerts have no opening act and are usually about 2 1/2 hours long. Their energy and stamina levels are through the roof. I've heard that they practice singing while running on a treadmill. Just so you know, some of their performance was prerecorded, especially the part with the horses so that the lights and crowd weren't too much for them. In my opinion, they are a once in a lifetime group of artists and we are all so fortunate to be living at the same time as them. You should react to their 2018 and 2017 MMA Performances as they are amazing also.

The MMA is not one of their tour shows. MMA is an award show where they give out awards to Asian artists which means that not only are BTS there but also other idols who are also there for music awards. MMA is held near the end of every year (around late Nov. to early Dec. in 2019 it was held on November 30-December 1st). MMA stands for Melon Music Awards. Another award show is called MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) which is similar to MMA, you might see these two be mentioned a lot towards the end of each year. The two people you saw (black and blue-haired) are apart of TXT which is another K-pop group that belongs to the same entertainment as BTS (BigHit Entertainment/Labels). They debuted on March 4th, 2019. The lights you saw that everyone had are called Army Bombs. They are official BTS lightsticks which ARMYs bring to concerts and award shows like MMA & MAMA and no they don't get handed out to you but you can buy them. Another thing is the fanchant. For example, when Boy With Luv started, you heard fans screaming something in somewhat sync. That's the fanchant. For beginners, one of BTS' main fanchant is Kim Namjoon! Kim Seokjin! Min Yoongi! Jung Hoseok! Park Jimin! Kim Taehyung! Jeon Jungkook! BTS! These names are BTS member's real names. Another one is saying BTS! BTS! BTS! during instrumental. As for the member that's always smiling is J-Hope. For the intro to Dionysus, all of the performances by each of the members (aside from Jimin's/3rd one) were prerecorded. (Most of the songs were remixed) The first song (Danced by V) was No More Dream (Which is their debut song) (2013) Second Song (Danced by Jin) was Danger (2014) Third song (Danced by Jimin/the only one that wasn't prerecorded) was I Need U (this song got BTS their first win) (2015) Fourth song (Danced by Suga) was Fire (2016) Fifth song (Danced by Jungkook) was Save Me (2016 - idk what happened to 2017) Sixth song (Danced by J-Hope) was Fake Love (2018) As for the last song (by RM) was Dionysus which transfers to the actual Dionysus performance (2019) (During these songs, there was a light that comes down during each of the members' performance. Each light represents each member). The first song for the dance break in the middle of Dionysus was their 2013 song, N.O. (the others idk). If you look into it, you'll see that NO backward is ON which is their recent title track. (The MMA performance was in Nov. 2019 so we didn't know that their new title track would be ON until last month) You should check out MMA 2018, it's just as amazing! I love your reactions! MMA stands for "Melon Music Awards". It's an award show held in S. Korea at the end of the year. You can watch their other MMA shows and you'll get blown away every time. :) They've already had a whole bunch of shows in the US including iHeartRadio jingle bell last year, Saturday Night Live & etc.. it'll take some time but you'll get to them, eventually. The guy who's always smiling is J Hope. Love your reactions always! :)
Oh and remember this was a Korean yearly award show, not BTS concert. Most artists get a spot or two, not forty some minutes of performance like BTS. :)
MAMA and MMA are called the end of the year shows.. They put something extra in their songs which they perform in these award shows to make it special, n this something extra won't be there in their original song.. for example in the last song DIONYSUS (the dance break in the electric beat )..
BTS Fanchant: "Kim Namjoon (RM), Kim Seokjin (Jin), Min Yoongi (Suga), Jung Hoseok (J-hope), Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung (V), Jeon Jungkook" Leader named first then in age order, sung at some point in any title song. Fanchants in kpop often use the artists real names as opposed to their stage names (in Korea a person's last name is said first e.g. Kim Namjoon, Kim is his surname/ family name and Namjoon is his given name)

I agree. South Korea really stepped it up when they had to rebuild after the Korean war. Their commitment to the arts is part of thei culture. Their Declaration of independence speaks volumes about how to care for one another. I have great respect for their values. I'm an American and I know America could learn alot from them!

Those “lights” are lightsticks and every kpop group has a lightstick exclusive to their fanbase and takes elements of their concepts for its design!! For BTS they have an ARMY bomb which can change color and let the crew/bts project anything they want onto the crowd and it’s really cool if you see their concerts!!

I was there at that night! Their live is always amazing and yes, there is no one who can do what BTS is doing now on the stage at this level in its totoality- sing, rap, dance, stage presence, energy, choreography, i mean the whole production value! The world need to see it. Anyone, who have never watched BTS at one time and simply says that BTS is just overhyped typical boyband, have to watch it!

They give their live performances absolutely EVERYTHING. They collapse when they come off stage and sometimes require oxygen masks to recover. They've been performing live for 7 years at this point and have had a tonnnnn of practice dancing and singing live. All kpop artists are trained intensely and the performances of a group tend to just get better and better over time!

They connect to “concert mode” during a concert and are in sync with the music being performed and they change colors. Fun fact: this is an award show, not a concert. The concert is even more amazing! Also, the lights that the audiences hold were called ARMY BOMB. it's an official light stick of bts fanclub. Only ARMYS have those particular light stick.

And no, they didn't give you those before awards shows. We bought it on BTS official merch store. On concerts you can connect it via Bluetooth and it will synchronize and change collours acc to the songs forming beautiful lights formation. You should check out the concert vids!

I wish... they’re special BTS brand light-sticks called ARMY Bombs. Super expensive. The ones holding them are ARMY. Which is insane considering this is an awards show...so 90% of the audience is ARMY. 😂
For real... ARMY Bombs cost around $30 in Korea, $50-60 internationally. Hard to find (only at concerts and online when it's not out of stock). They're connected to synchronize colors or create words, etc...
And yeah 90% of the audience was definitely ARMY... Wherever BTS goes, it becomes their own concert (including all Asian award shows, Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards...)

Their concerts have no opening act and are usually about 2 1/2 hours long. Their energy and stamina levels are through the roof. I've heard that they practice singing while running on a treadmill. Just so you know, some of their performance was prerecorded, especially the part with the horses so that the lights and crowd weren't too much for them. In my opinion, they are a once in a lifetime group of artists and we are all so fortunate to be living at the same time as them.
You should react to their 2018 and 2017 MMA Performances as they are amazing also.

The MMA is not one of their tour shows. MMA is an award show where they give out awards to Asian artists which means that not only are BTS there but also other idols who are also there for music awards. MMA is held near the end of every year (around late Nov. to early Dec. in 2019 it was held on November 30-December 1st). MMA stands for Melon Music Awards.
Another award show is called MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) which is similar to MMA, you might see these two be mentioned a lot towards the end of each year.
The two people you saw (black and blue-haired) are apart of TXT which is another K-pop group that belongs to the same entertainment as BTS (BigHit Entertainment/Labels). They debuted on March 4th, 2019.
The lights you saw that everyone had are called Army Bombs. They are official BTS lightsticks which ARMYs bring to concerts and award shows like MMA & MAMA and no they don't get handed out to you but you can buy them.
Another thing is the fanchant. For example, when Boy With Luv started, you heard fans screaming something in somewhat sync. That's the fanchant. For beginners, one of BTS' main fanchant is Kim Namjoon! Kim Seokjin! Min Yoongi! Jung Hoseok! Park Jimin! Kim Taehyung! Jeon Jungkook! BTS! These names are BTS member's real names. Another one is saying BTS! BTS! BTS! during instrumental.
As for the member that's always smiling is J-Hope.
For the intro to Dionysus, all of the performances by each of the members (aside from Jimin's/3rd one) were prerecorded. (Most of the songs were remixed)
The first song (Danced by V) was No More Dream (Which is their debut song) (2013)

They give their live performances absolutely EVERYTHING. They collapse when they come off stage and sometimes require oxygen masks to recover. They've been performing live for 7 years at this point and have had a tonnnnn of practice dancing and singing live. All kpop artists are trained intensely and the performances of a group tend to just get better and better over time!

They connect to “concert mode” during a concert and are in sync with the music being performed and they change colors. Most groups have their own light stick and they come in different shapes and sizes. Here, you can see it looked like a BTS concert rather than an award show due to all the ARMY present.
