The A line is the B75 with a different colour. The C line is almost the same as last year’s regular Bromptons but they now come with Brompton saddles and not Brooks which is a downgrade in my view. The P line on the other hand seems to be very innovative. So far the Superlight were just regular Bromptons with rear triangle and the fork made of titanium. Now there’s this and much more - the P line has all new 4 speed derailleur gears and most of small parts like clamps, pentaclip, even saddle and grips are made with lightness in mind.
Thx for the video. What happened to the Bolt Blue-waiting for it w/silver stem + handlebars (H) 3 speed + rack + all the titanium parts.Have to wait for the color I want to pay that price.
I got a C Line Black Edition, and it didn’t come with the hand pump, does it suppose to come with a hand pump? Also what about the spare tube and tool kit.. for some reason I thought the Brompton came with them 😅.
Thanks for watching and the the question. The Explore model comes with a pump, the Urban does not. The spare tube and tool kits are additional option for all bikes.
Thanks for watching - and the great question - which we should have mentioned The Black Lacquer is (as we suspect you were thinking) a "premium finish" and carries a slightly higher price due to the finish
Great video. I love them all. I'm sure you have been asked this question many times but I'm wondering why Eazy wheels don't come as standard on all Bromptons. I'm new to Brompton bikes having bought a second hand one recently but the one upgrade that everyone seems to suggest is to get rid of the standard roller wheels. It's interesting to hear the standard rollers are gone from the P line.
Like with many things, I guess it all comes down to cost, the standard wheels as adequate but cheaper, to put Eazy wheels on all bikes would increase the base price. It will be interesting to see what happens with the new wheels.
Hi. I am new to Brompton bikes and I just bought one a week ago. How do I know what year model is mine? It’s not on the box nor on the manual. Admittedly, since buying the bike, I have only rode it for about once or twice as I am already planning to replace the saddle with a new cushioned one.
Many thanks for the question. The year is part of the serial number, the first four digits show the year and month of production. So for example 2106…… was made in 2021 in June Hope this makes sense Thank you for watching!
The orange/blue are definitely a step back from last years orange/tempest blue. Does the new pump mount properly on the 2022 model or is it the plastic mounts also? Did they remove the braze on mounting points too I assume?
The new pumps fit the 2022 using the plastic mounts. I guess the advantage of the new pump is it fits all the models. The brazed brackets are still there if you wanted an older pump. Thank you for watching 😊
And how are the new pumps attached to the frame? I seem to be seeing the same triangle (not sure if that is the correct UK'ish :-) word for it) as the previous models with the now old style pump. Black lacquer for me as the other colours are a bit to much in your face. To bad the tempest blue is gone. I liked the classy look. It will become a hassle again to get that lacquer here. (in the meanwhile I bought another bike from another manufacturer)
The new pump fixes on with two plastic mounts. The rear triangle is the same this means if you wanted to fit the old pump you still could. The supply versus demand seems to be easing so hopefully you can get one where you are based
Collect them all❗️I like the combo of the 2 new colors but I would reverse it , coral frame other parts blue. New naming system is a little less confusing I guess . I refer to mine as the wanderer because I’m fond of the saying “Not all those who wander are lost…but I am!” Interested in the new roller wheels, I’ve replaced my original ones with an aftermarket brand. They’re taller and roll easier when in shopping cart mode🛒 but the rubber tread can come off during high speed supermarket maneuvers 😁

Hello, many thanks for this awesome video. I’ve just recently purchased a piccadilly blue C line and I’ll be collecting it from the store in a couple of days. I am just not sure if I made the right colour choice 🥲 someone please comfort me.
Apologies as this is completely off topic for this video, but I recently got a tannus solid rear tyre (despite seeing some very mixed comments about them), and on my first few rides I think the ride has been acceptable- not great, but acceptable. I'd love to see you review these tyres in a video, and get your thoughts on whether the sacrifices in terms of grip and ride quality are worthwhile. I already know these tyres wont suit everyone. I have a very specific situation that makes punctures very undesirable, so in my case the tannus tyres are worthwhile. I live on a narrowboat, and no longer run a car, and so I rely on my electric brompton and public transport completely in order to visit friends and family, to visit interesting local places, etc etc. A puncture can mean that I miss a train, and maybe have to wait two hours for another. Or I have to fit a new inner tube at the roadside, sometimes in the pouring rain. So tannus tyres suit my situation, but I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions on them.
Many thanks for watching and for the question. We totally understand the place for Tannus, but are not fans due to the wear on the rims and the general handing. But would love to hear how you are finding them.
@@brilliantbikes , I'll certainly give you an update in a few months, although I can say my initial impressions are not too bad. The thing is that tannus tyres are definitely a compromise- you have to REALLY not like punctures to get these, because the ride is a tad unusual, and a tad hard. But it's bearable, at least to me. I'm not a purist about ride quality, and I don't ride for fun like normal sane people do. I know this will sound brutal to a true brompton lover, but for me the brompton is a transport tool, and there are plenty of times I'd rather not even bother riding it (rain, cold, mud, etc)- but I have to go visiting, or shopping, or whatever. But here is an example of the benefits: I arrived back at my boat one day last week at about 8pm, after visiting relatives by train. The ride back from the local station had been very chilly, and it was very dark riding down some unlit, wet and potholed rural lanes. As I was folding the bike up to stow it away, I noticed a sharp sliver of hard plastic stuck deeply into the side wall of the rear tannus tyre - maybe a shard from a car's rear light cover. That jagged plastic would certainly have punctured a pneumatic tyre, and thus would have given me either an hour's walk (pushing the bike) with a heavy backpack in the rain, or else the rotten task of replacing the rear inner tube at the roadside, in very cold, dark and wet conditions. And that was the very first time I'd ridden on the new tyres in earnest. For local trips I mostly use a cheaper ebike as a workhorse, and the brompton is saved for trips where I need the train or a bus. The rear tyre also took a puncture a month or two back, but this time I will admit it was because I hadn't sanded and smoothed off the two ends of a zefal tyre liner I'd put in, and the sharp-ish edge of the tyre liner had actually worn through the inner tube and punctured it. That puncture gave me a 40 minute walk back from the station to the boat, with the usual heavy backpack, and so when I saw tannus tyres on a youtube video I had to give them a try... Uh-oh. I think I might have just confessed to being unfaithful and watching other brompton youtube channels. I hope you can forgive me. I just got carried away, it was a moment of weakness.
Strangely we said that we thought a Fire Coral black edition would look lovely. But sorry at the moment no it’s not available as a Black Edition, in theory you could change all the silver bits to black
Hello, Darina Parker here. I have binged so many of your videos, my thoughts are now thought in your voice. First time I didn't mind listening to them. Simultaneously, I would love to do a conjoined or adjunct video w/you. I was just hired on as store manager and brand experience manager of the Brompton New York Junction. I have noticed it's not your style, but I feel like it could be fun nonetheless.
My favourite colour is my orange 2012 H6R, now H6L, then upgraded with Joseph Kuosac mid-rise bars, so now probably HMR6L. The new fire coral looks like orange and goes well with Piccadilly. But I think Brompton have shot themselves in the foot with the P line gearing, you can’t have 6 speeds and it has less gear inches range than the Utility 3-speed BSR which has a lower 1st gear and a higher 3rd gear, plus the P-line derailleur is lower to the ground, so more chance of debris fouling it.
It is a bit of a pinky orange, but growing on us. We just have not seen the P-line yet and will be interested to see all its new features, including the 4 derailleur gears
Thanks for watching - and the comment All Brompton bikes can be specified when ordering with a rack (not sure about the P-Line / A-Line) - but most bikes are sold without so ordered from Brompton without We always keep racks to fit if people want them (we try at least ;-) )
@@brilliantbikes Thank you, still trying to ascertain what can and can't be done (having only stepped foot into Brompton Junction). Was rather bemused when they said they can reserve a bike for 'a matter of hours'
I've been riding this bike for about a month ruclips.net/user/postUgkxwC0IIeIomGQVeBWg-kKJaToZkLEFIA2W and a half now and I think it's fantastic. It helps me get to work on time every day since I'm able to fit it inside of public transportation rush hour. The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. I do recommend you carry some sort of wrench to tighten any loose screws on the handle bar and seat whenever they get a little bit loose. Other than that I think it's a fantastic bike. Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.

I have complained to Brompton, why they haven't found out something, after that many years of production?) I have also found some new titanium and carbon parts, also for my mudguards! The plates holding those on top, may be changed to ligther carbon versions (from China, of course), of much less weight! For now my bike weighs 9,35 kilo. Still a few kilos from the T-line, but for a much smaller price, and with 6 gears! 😁 Finn. Denmark
Great video as always! Black lacquer is my favourite too... will you be doing a video of the new C-Line Electric bikes soon? Thank you :)
Many thank for watching and for the suggestion. As soon as we get them then yes 😊
Which is better the C line explore or the P line?
I think it depends what you want the Brompton for. We’d say if it’s touring then the Explore, if you want to be nippy round the city then the P Line.
Thank you for watching!
Pleaae do a review on A line brompton
Many thanks for the question. As soon as we get one we will.
Thank you for watching!
Love the “S” bar 😀👍
So does the cameraman - his favourite is a low rise (S), Urban (2-Speed). Thank you for watching
I love my B75 but definitely would consider an yellow Brompton like the Sally variant in the X Line Friends :)
Many thanks for watching! Oh yes yellow is a lovely colour!
Are there different colours on brompton electrics ?
Thanks for watching
The 2022 Brompton Electric colour line-up is:
Black
Turkish Green
Black Lacquer
Flame Lacquer
(so it's goodbye to Bolt Blue - our favourite colour)
As soon as we get them - we will make a video to show them in "real life"
I know people complain about the pumps but you should really have a high end dedicated pump at home. I always viewed the attached pump as a "get you home" pump after a flat. cheers.
Many thanks for watching! We totally agree it is a get me home pump
Hello, many thanks for this awesome video. I’ve just recently purchased a piccadilly blue C line and I’ll be collecting it from the store in a couple of days. I am just not sure if I made the right colour choice 🥲 someone please comfort me.
Oh i think it’s a lovely colour! I hope you like it when you see it!
Thanks for watching
With a few months of experience, how do you like your Piccadilly, would you have chosen a different one like the cloud blue?
In my opinion, Piccadilly Blue is great for night rides because it’s bright blue color will stand out. I am a Piccadilly Blue Brompton owner as well.
But here is an example of the benefits:
I arrived back at my boat one day last week at about 8pm, after visiting relatives by train.
I just got carried away, it was a moment of weakness.
cant you mix and match the black edition parts with fire coral... isnt it quite similar?
Strangely we said that we thought a Fire Coral black edition would look lovely. But sorry at the moment no it’s not available as a Black Edition, in theory you could change all the silver bits to black
Hello, Darina Parker here. I have binged so many of your videos, my thoughts are now thought in your voice. First time I didn't mind listening to them. Simultaneously, I would love to do a conjoined or adjunct video w/you. I was just hired on as store manager and brand experience manager of the Brompton New York Junction. I have noticed it's not your style, but I feel like it could be fun nonetheless.
I love my 15 year old racing green brommy 😀♥️👍
It’s a classic colour. Thank you for watching
@@brilliantbikes I'm just about to finalize an order for one. Is it more pink than orange?
Tern or brompthon.?? Hello from Chile
please show us how p line seatpost works!😁😁😁
We are looking forward to seeing one too. As soon as we do we will make a video 😊.
Thank you for the question and for watching
My favourite: Black edition / black lacquer.
Thank you for watching. We agree that is a lovely colour 😊
With the price of the Brompton added accessories included is always a plus 😁
Maybe they could add custom colors---of course will cost extra😉
Custom colours would be amazing! Thank you so much for watching!
Nice!!! but I guess the P Line is going to be 2022 winner. Stay Safe!!!
I know we really are looking forward to seeing the new P-line 😊. Take care and stay safe!
How can you specify a rack? In-store only?
Thanks for watching - and the comment
All Brompton bikes can be specified when ordering with a rack (not sure about the P-Line / A-Line) - but most bikes are sold without so ordered from Brompton without
We always keep racks to fit if people want them (we try at least ;-) )
@@brilliantbikes Thank you, still trying to ascertain what can and can't be done (having only stepped foot into Brompton Junction). Was rather bemused when they said they can reserve a bike for 'a matter of hours'
awesome colours!!
Oh please, i love the tempest blue :(
It’s a lovely colour 😊
I like green color
Racing Green it’s a lovely colour. Thank you for watching 😊
I would love to have a magenta or a dark purple but I guess that's not coming back..or resale only or customised 😇
We used to love the Purple Haze, but the colours sometimes reappear.
Thank you for watching.
Matt raw lacquer. Unfortunately its been replaced by a gloss version
Now it’s a black lacquer rather than just clear but is lovely when you see it 😊
I have a Flame Lacquer C Line.
Thanks for watching! The flame lacquer is a lovely colour!
@@brilliantbikes Shame they have P Line C Line etc life was simpler in the past lol
@@brilliantbikes Also have a 2015 Lime Green that I converted to a Black Version, I called it Kermit.
The urban with a rack is now known as spaceship. The utility with a rack is known as mustache. The explore with a rack is now known as hypotenuse.
🤣😂 thank you for watching and entertaining us!
I want metallic purple. 😫
That’s a lovely colour! Let’s hope we see it again.
Thanks for watching!
Now, how can they say the brompton explore special edition against 6-speed, upss....I mean C explore edition
Thank you for watching. I know we are still getting used to the new names too.
Apple Green is/was the best ever!… 🍏 💚
Failing that, it would have to be BRG from that lot… ✅ 🐍
Oh nice!
Thank you for watching
Am supposed to buy the orange but they discontinued it so I bought the cloud blue , fire Color is a bad choice I think
Many thanks for watching.
We love orange as well! But Cloud Blue is nice! Fire Coral is growing on us :)
Orange
I agree I love my orange Brompton!
Thank you for watching!
@@brilliantbikes hoping can get it soon... as it always no stock in my country
Alway out of stock in California , or too expensive,I want has one.
Thanks for watching. They are worth the wait 😊.
Instead of colour blind coral, boring blue and granny green, why not reinstate orange and add off white, white or grey? Less contentious?
👍
👏👏👏👏👍👌😘🍻
Thank you and thank you so much for watching.
可惜订不到货
Thank you for watching and the comment - they should be available from a local dealer
None of these colors are appealing to me and like you I’d choose black lacquer so expect to be out of stock on that.
We think the lacquer finish is lovely, really showing the brazing so well.
Thank you so much for watching
Many thanks for watching! We really do appreciate it! Glad your family are enjoying them!
