It’s not the best, no, and ending it at the boat where it originally was gonna end (Purgatory) was stupid. I know it was watsuki’s original intent to do that…. But there was a reason he didn’t.
I'm not a big Nickelback fan, but they have a couple songs I enjoy. This is one of them, and paired with one of my favorite anime, as well! Bravo, nice work. :D
No one wanted to see Shishio's brains but this OVA needed to include that for reasons. It also broke Kenshin's character by causing said brains to appear.
sorry for replying to a 3 year old comment but when you are using a blunt object like kenshin's reverse blade this is a result of kenshin's strength. his blade is essenially a long blunt steel bar. it won't cut but it sure as hell will break bones and cave in a man's skull. also this isn't the first time kenshin has been this far gone in desperation.

Yes, the remake LOOKS cool. but the way they cut and introduced new scenes looked kind of sloppy to me, and it also went way too fast, especially in fight scenes. They also cut out some information, and changed a bunch.

The sword is from swordsmith Arai Shaku who was known to craft exceptional swords for killing. Except the Sakabato Kageuchi (first reverse blade sword). To me the sword reflects the nature of Kenshin: Different to all others, unwilling to kill anymore, created to protect.
