It's too bad (but accurate) that there was English being used in it, yeah. I'm from Australia and a native english speaker and I got Czech, Sutch, Latin and Slovenian. I was so close to getting Estonian and Welsh too, but I didn't.
Wow. That was hard. Think I got 9 right. I could usually guess the family of language or the region of the language, but not the precise language itself.
I got eight. Romanian, Czech, Bulgarian, Welsh, Dutch, Latin, Slovene, and Estonian Most of them I could recognize a language family except for Hmong. I couldn't even guess the right continent for Hmong.
I had 22/23 Romanian Bulgarian Welsh Latin Gujarati Duch Slovenian Catalan Samoan Bengali Xhosa Marathi Estonian Kannada Tartar Igbo Hmong Khmer Lao Czech Kyrgyz Hausa
My guesses: 1) Romanian. 2) Thai. - crap 3) Maltese. 4) Slovak? Don't care, still counts. 5) Uhh Russian? I knew something was off. 6) Punjabi? Tamil? I know it's not Hindi. OK, Gujarati 7) Russian. Fail: Lao (no answer), Gujarati (no answer), Kyrgiz (i said Tatar), Bengali (no answer), Hmong (no answer), Xhosa (no answer), Khmer (no answer), Samoan (no answer), Kannada (no answer).
I got right the following: *Romanian* (cause it's kind of close to French), *Welsh* (why? I have no clue, I didn't guess. I, somehow, just know), *Dutch*, *Latin* (again, pourquoi?), *Slovenian* (again, this is the 2nd video where I got Slovenian right, I neither speak nor understand that language!) *Estonian* (the accents on the letters gave it away) *Catalan*
This was actually really difficult, there were 4 Indian languages that no one except Indians could have recognised. Some of them- like Tatar- I've never even heard of.
It's that time again. My guess (✔️/✖️) correct answer and personal comment 1. Romanian (✔️) Lots of weird letters unique for this language. 2. Khmer (✖️) Lao. Well, close terrains 3. Maltese (✔️) I remembered that it's a mix of English, Italian and Arabic. 4. Czech (✔️) I was close to saying Slovak, but I remembered Czech is more similar to Polish than Slovak. 5. Russian (✖️) Bulgarian! I knew these hardening signs are tricking me! They're hardly ever used in Russian. Also, cookies? Really? 6. Some Indian language, can't tell (✖️) Gujarati. I knew the country though! 7. Turkmenic (✖️) Kyrgyz. Those weird F letters tricked me. 8. Punjabi (✖️) Bengali. Well, got country again. 9. Amharic (✖️) Hmong. Language used in mainly in China, Myanmar and Laos. Hm. 10. Igbo (✖️) Xhosa. I knew continent, heh. 11. Welsh (✔️) Whole "Cw" and "ll" thing screams Welsh. 12. Some Indian language, again (✖️) Khmer. Omg. 13. Dutch (✔️) Not enough apostrophes for Afrikaans. AND COOKIES AGAIN! 14. Latin (✔️) Thanks, comment section. 15. Samoan (✔️) Comment section again. 16. Mal... Malga... Something, I can't remember the right name in English. (✖️) Kannada. Language spoken in India. 17. Slovenian (✔️) Thanks, comment section. 18. Turkmenic, again (✖️) Tatar. Huh. 19. Luxembourgish (✖️) Estonian?! HOW?! 20. Basque (✖️) Catalan. One of big five languages used in Spain. MY SCORE: 8/20. This was hard!

La me: Sees anything written in Cyrillic for the past two videos. Checks the letters. Says "Nope, not Bulgarian." (We spent our holidays in Bulgaria in the 80s, and I learned to decipher Cyrillic there). This vid: Could be Bulgarian. And it is! Also, this is the first vid in the series where I asked myself more than once "Where is that spoken?" I had little difficulty with the first two vids, but in this, a few had me stumped.
This was much more difficult than the previous one . I guessed only a few European languages (Welsh, Catalan, Dutch and Estonian) . Some languages I even didn't know they exist.
I'm from Kolkata, India which is a majority bengali speaking city and that bengali was so broken and so wrong. Not a single thing was understandable there
I could almost Guess Hmong I was like: “Wait why does it look like I’ve seen it before. It looks Vietnamese, I’ll Guess Vietnamese Wait no they did that already” and ran out of time lol
Only 4. Romanian Dutch Estonian Latin Think the reason for that is prior exposure and having Swedish as my native language. Seems most languages chosen are those us Europeans have little chance of recognizing. Even some of the European ones such as Slovenian/czech (which looks pretty much the same to me as the croatian language) was difficult because the alphabet used is very similar.
#2 @1:00 got that one easily as I've lived in Thailand 17 years and been to Laos a bunch of times where the language is very similar. Same with #12 @4:57 Khmer (Cambodian) which also uses a similar character set and common terms.
Usually got the region right, but not the exact language, everything Cyrillic ends up to be Russian (I usually say a former Soviet and then it is right) and all these curly ones end up to be Indochina. I know a bit of Czech so can identify that, and the rest is usually a non Cyrillic Slav. Guessed Slovak for Slovenian, and the Baltics tend to end up Swedish. Knowing French, Italian and a bit of Spanish helped a lot with the Roman languages. Great fun. Keep them coming !
6/23 Romanian : Yes, look familiar some words (I'm French) and the ț Lao : Looked like Thai so I said "maybe Khmer" Maltese : Didn't even say one lol Czech : Hesitated with Slovak, and chose wrong Bulgarian : "There is no more Cyrillic in Europe so Uzbek" there was Gujarati : Looks like Hindi, Urdu? Kyrgyz : It can't be anything else than Uzbek please, not Kyrgyz or Tajik Bengali : This time it is Urdu, hope it isn't Bengali though Hmong : At least I tried Hungarian once Xhosa : Here I remember trying Icelandic because of long words Welsh : Who even put a circonflexe on a w come on :c I said Estonian Khmer : Yes, it also looked like Thai so I said Khmer again Dutch : Yes, I was like "If you tell me Flemish I'm gonna hit you so hard lol" because I managed to recognize Afrikaans and I never studied any Dutch Latin : Yes, I recognized the suffixes of latin Samoan : I tried... I don't remember actually lol Kannada : Come on, Canada is a country, not a language :c Why do you torture me with unknown languages lol Slovenian : Yes, I recognized lots of Croatian so I guessed it Tatar : It has to be Uzbek right? It's Cyrillic, it's not Tajik please, wait WHAT IS TATAR? Estonian : Swedish or Icelandic? Choosing was hard, I chose Swedish, I was a little disappointed with the result lol Catalan : Yes, for the last romance language I had to find it Igbo : Didn't try though, no idea Marathi : It had to be Urdu :'( Hausa : Icelandic? Long words
@@selladore4911 yeah, it is a unique language; the core vocabulary is Semitic (the only Semitic language in Europe) but it has a very prominent Romance substratum (chiefly Sicilian and Italian) and to a lesser degree some English and French influence. I am a medical student currently enrolled in a foreign medical academy but I am planning to transfer to Malta next year and continue my medical education over there, so this is all relevant to me :)
Very good videos congratulations for that. Only one suggestion, my girlfriend is from Kolkata and the language that in the video is showing like Bengali , she said that is not Bengali, can be Assamese.
1. Romanian (Hello xD well that’s a freebie, 1 point) 2. Georgian? (Nope, 1 point) 3. (Maltese, 1 point) 4. Serbian (Czech, 1 point) 5. Can’t distinguish any Cyrillic so I’ll just guess Russian (Bulgarian, 1 point) 6. Don’t recognize the script (1 point) 7. Maybe Mongolian? (Kyrgyz, 1 point) 8. Some form of Indian (Bengali, 1 point) 9. ?????? (Hmong, 1 point) 10. Some African language (Xhosa, too generic, 1 point) 11. Welsh? (Lucky second point) 12. Armenian? (Khmer, 2 points) 13. Danish? (Dutch, 2 points) 14. Italian. (Or Latin) (it was Latin, 3 points) 15. Weird Latin-script Greek (Samoan, 3 points) 16. Georgian (Kannada, 3 points) 17. Croatian (or Serbian, Bosnian, Montenegrin) (Slovenian, close but 3 points) 18. Russian (Tatar, 3 points) 19. Didn’t guess (Estonian, 3 points) 20. French, recognized (Catalan damn, 3 points) 21. Not Vietnamese, but close (Igbo, 3 points) 22. Some Indian script language (Marathi, 3 points) 23. Some African language (Hausa, final score 3) So I got 3 right. One by luck, two by actually knowing the languages. Granted the Latin one since I leaned Latin a bit (otherwise I would have just kept Italian; if anything I’d have not granted the point if it was Italian)
I got Romanian, Lao, Maltese, Czech, Bulgarian, Gujarati, Bengali, Hmong, Xhosa, Welsh, Khmer, Dutch, Latin, Samoan, Kannada, Estonian, and Igbo Incorrect: Kyrgyz (guessed Mongolian); Slovenian (guessed Serbian in Latin script); Tatar (guessed 'a Turkic language in Russia'); Catalan (guessed 'Dialect in Italy'); Marathi (guessed 'not Hindi'); Hausa (guessed Swahili) 17/23
I got Romanian, Czech, Welsh, Dutch, Latin, Estonian. Confused Slovenian with Serbo-Croatian, Bulgarian with Macedonian, Catalan with French and Marathi with Hindi.
Got 8 right. Those indian letters... I can tell only that it is one of languages of India. But which is which - that's the question. 😅 And those South-Slavic languages... 🤣
it's impossible to distinguish between languages when there is text in azbuka ! it's almost the same in all the languages using it and when you don't know azbuka you have no chance to find out which language is which also with languages of india, how the frick can i differentiate them based on that weird things 😂🤦
I guessed Maltese,Tatar,Samoan, Bulgarian, Bengali, Czech, Gujarati, kyrgyz and slovenian.when I noticed the lao script I thought that it was Burmese. But Khmer right . I guessed but was wrong. I was messed with it.I am indian.

I also guessed Latin and Czech.

“Wait why does it look like I’ve seen it before. It looks Vietnamese, I’ll Guess Vietnamese Wait no they did that already” and ran out of time lol
Only 4.
Romanian
Dutch
Estonian
Latin
Think the reason for that is prior exposure and having Swedish as my native language.
Seems most languages chosen are those us Europeans have little chance of recognizing.
Even some of the European ones such as Slovenian/czech (which looks pretty much the same to me as the croatian language) was difficult because the alphabet used is very similar.
3/23
Romanian, Maltese, Khmer
to all people who upset because they get the half of them, well nice to meet you all of you guys i get nothing
#2 @1:00 got that one easily as I've lived in Thailand 17 years and been to Laos a bunch of times where the language is very similar. Same with #12 @4:57 Khmer (Cambodian) which also uses a similar character set and common terms.
I regonize only Welsh, Dutch and Latin. The rest was Hieroglyphs for me. ;-)

Romanian : Yes, look familiar some words (I'm French) and the ț
Lao : Looked like Thai so I said "maybe Khmer"
Maltese : Didn't even say one lol

Catalan : Yes, for the last romance language I had to find it
Igbo : Didn't try though, no idea
Marathi : It had to be Urdu :'(
Hausa : Icelandic? Long words

does Maltese look like it has Italian loanwords to you? how did you identify it?
@@selladore4911 most of the Maltese vocabulary is made up of words of Italian and (especially) Sicilian roots
@@akulakaboom i see, cool!
@@selladore4911 yeah, it is a unique language; the core vocabulary is Semitic (the only Semitic language in Europe) but it has a very prominent Romance substratum (chiefly Sicilian and Italian) and to a lesser degree some English and French influence.
