I got my first road bike with the ultegra group set. 400 to 300 km per a week. I will need to put a lot of things to the side to achieve those distances.
You might want to update this video now Shimano have released their new Dura-Ace and Ultegra Groupsets. These now have 12 speeds and are Disc Brake and Di2 only.
I think it woul`ve made sense to at least mention the GRX Groupsets, they might be Gravel specific, but a lot of gravelbikes are more used as a more comfortable roadbike
Thnks for such a splendid breakdown. Am relatively new to cycling and almost about to buy the 2017 giant defy which has the tiagra GS. Do you think it’s worth the money ?
Can you recommend reputable dealers of group set kits? I'm building my bike and it seems like there are a lot of options but the mainstream sellers are only selling one part at a time.
I just got an ebike that has a 56 tooth front and a 7 cog cassette that runs from 14-28. With power added, I can easily live in top gear, 56-14. Why did they make the smallest cog 14 instead of 10 or 11?
What would be decent average speed over an hour solo? I can probably do around 19 maybe 20mph for 1 to 2 hours on my CAAD12. Some peeps on forums are saying they can do 27mph. Are they bullshiting or am I that weak?
Just getting into cycling and this was the best breakdown I have seen yet. Really appreciate the overview!
"Season"... "Crispiness"... "Nice"...Great terms.
Fun fact: turn on cc and watch crispness turn to chirs penis. 😂
New cyclist here, excellent video. Thanks!
Outstanding video! I've had to do years of riding and research to learn what you just did in a 20 min. video. Thanks! Ride On.
On my commuter / winter bike, I ride the category "Vintage" . Tourney ftw !

Price? Budget? Goals you want to accomplish in cycling in the upcoming future?
@@Pedaler want to get more serious slowly into cycling..was into CrossFit and running earlier...amateur soccer player in my teens ...budget around $1k
Ya if you can get a tiagra level bike for 1k that’s pretty good start
Hi friend, can I put the 105 or the ultegra on an hybrid bike with a flat handbar? Thank you :)
