Here are a couple of my favorites that were used in “I Love Toy Trains”. 5:50 “Number 28: Pennsylvania Broadway Limited! For Crestline, Pittsburgh, Altoona, Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Newark, and New York! Sleeping cars only! Leaving on track number 2! All Aboooooard!” 14:43 “Train number 66: Pacific Coast Express! Now leaving for San Bernardino, Riverside, Anaheim, Azusa, Cucamonga, Pasadena and Los Angeles! Coach and Parlor cars only! Leaving on track 2! ‘Booooard!”
These sounds are always so iconic to me. Especially when running trains or using it in videos about trains. Both this and Toy Trains: A Soundtrack as well as other sound effects are absolute treasures when it comes to train sound effects. Thanks for sharing this!
Yep. Tom McComas used this cassette for many of his shows at TM. It was also used by Lou Pulumbo on his Underground Railroad layout. I'm also planning on using these sounds for future toy train movies from myself.
Im planning on making a toy train movie. I'm an ambitious filmmaker and I want to help promote the hobby, as well as my filmmaking skills. I'm uncertain when I can start filming due to other obligations and the basement needs some work done before I can work on my layout. But I will be filming other layouts when the time comes.
More to come in the future! Please like, share and subscribe if you hadn't yet.
Wonderful share
That’s really neat! I’m glad that you found the source to the sound effects that were used in the old ILTT videos.
Some of these were also used on a CD called Toy Trains: The Soundtrack

This album was also released on CD around the same time, which also had additional jingles and spots like the Joe Dimaggio ad.
Great that you found this tape Nikolas. Where’d you get it?
Found it on eBay. This is the same cassette tape Lou Pulumbo used in his Underground Railroad layout.
