Traded my Audi A4 to get my 1st Alfa Romeo 6 months ago. I do not miss the A4. Once you drive the Alfa you’ll notice the difference. Fun and beautiful car. I get compliments in my Alfa almost daily. Alfa Romeo Giulia is my pick.
Awesome!! Similar story here except I was coming from a 2016 Audi A3. Loved the Audi but it started to give me some MAJOR electronic issues. Which spec is your Alfa?!
you have great taste in cars... my GIULIA Ti has 90000miles...and I drive her every day all day in the rain, snow, ice, and sun! best car Ive ever had hands down.. always makes you smile...:)
Niceee! Did you put all 9000 miles on it or did you get it used?! Check out the latest short. It’s right up your alley! 🍻
How’s the reliability for you?
Thanks for being short and to the point.
Lol no beating around the bush here
I just picked up a 2019 Giulia Ti Sport with only 14k miles from the original owner and am very excited. One selling point, he had purchased a transferable MOPAR extended service agreement that covers repairs through 2026.
I hope the warranty isn’t needed much, he says he hasn’t needed any work done since he bought it new (other than a factory recall). The earlier cars in 2017 seem to have some issues but from what I have seen they fixed most of these since. 🤞
I've put some 20k miles on my Ti Sport with zero issues. I'd buy it again.
Nicee! Which year is yours?!
@@turbo_cafe 2020 model year.
Well done!!!

Appreciate you! Welcome to the club 🍻
Nice work on this video man. If you ever come up to the pacific northwest you can stay at my house in Bellingham and we can be car buddies! Just got my QV 2018, misano, CCB, buckets, red stitching, and and super pumped about it. Finding every excuse to drive further.
I love my 2018 Giulia but its been in the shop since Oct 2023 - no lie!
They finally finished fixing it 3 days ago (April 9, 2024) but when I came to pick it up, I discovered that my AC doesn't work.
So back to the shop it goes for who knows how much longer.
The only consolation I have is that they gave me a Maserati Grecale for a loaner car so I can't really complain.
But I do miss my Giulia, though.
Own one love it!
I really enjoyed the "from the street" review, and I think it is really where the brand needs to be reviewed. I have a 2017 Quadrifoglio, for the last 3 years. Its been very reliable. The only issues led back to an old battery causing some sensors not reading correctly - an issue any modern car will have. And were still only minor Yellow faults. The drive is just plain outstanding.
I have a Stelvio love, love, love this car! I drove the Guila for about a month but I like to shop and need space. I switched my Pirelli's out for Michelins I'm in a hot climate as well, you're absolutely right these tires don't wear well in the heat.
Awesomee! Any dislikes? A few people told me it’s not so good on gas. And others feel the i4 is underpowered 🤔
@@turbo_cafe Underpowered?? The only 2.0 with more power than Alfa is the Maserati grecale Modena but if you do the air intake and ECU on the Alfa you can reach 300 hp easy. Also let’s not forget that stock makes 0-60 in 5.4 seconds being the lightest SUV in its category and having the most advanced platform on the market still after 7 years? And a top speed of 144 mph that reaches quickly and steadily.
Very well said
Out of all the sports sedans, Alfa Romeo Giulia wins on being the best looker. I can always spot one in a parking lot no matter what.
Definitely one of the most aesthetic cars I’ve driven. She will be missed 😭
3 years in owing my Q4 and now making 400ish power with bigger turbo and all the other goods and STILL loves this car with no problems. I plan not getting rid of it and giving it to future kids first car
Niceee! How many miles on yours now?!
sitting at a healthy 55k miles
@@turbo_cafe
Where'd you get the turbo from?
Hey I’m considering buying a 2020 gulia ti sport. 55k miles, 2 owners, clean car fax and was maintained well according to the carfax. My only hesitation is that I can get a warranty for it. I work at a car dealership so I get a really good discount on the car. Just wondering if you think I should do it.
well crafted video. I am considering 2017 plate veloce in UK, but I am scared of battery drain stories.
Thank you! By chance would you happen to know if the batteries used in the UK are the same units they use in the USA? Living in Florida typically requires most people to change their battery at least once every 2 years due to excessive humidity. But so far I still haven’t had any issues 🤞🏾
Best car I've ever owned! Concerned where things are going with next generation of cars, to put it nicely, so bought out my lease at 17k and a maint package to wait this shit out.
Oh wow! You’re the first person to mention actually buying out the lease! Did the dealer give you any service specials now that you’re an owner? What are your thoughts on the depreciation? Mine was $50k sticker and now it’s down to 28k resale 🤯
Great review! But I’m biased. I love my 2.0 T 2024 Giulia!
Haha niceee! Which color do you have??
@@turbo_cafe ~ Vesuvio Gray Metallic. Red Leather interior. Every available package and option without getting the Quadrifoglio. I love it so much!!!
Hey bro - been looking at getting one of these used, but really concerned about reliability and maintenance costs. Can you speak to any of this. You mentioned tires really but anything else?
Honestly man it’s been really great in regards to reliability. I’m 4 months away from lease end and STILL no critical issues. As of now I’m on my 3rd oil change in 3 years and so far that’s been the only costs ($350) after I changed the tires. HOWEVER I’m not sure how reliable the high mileage models are. There’s a few comments in here from owners who share the same sentiment. Feel free to hmu anytime if you have more questions! 🍻
I bought a high mileage well taken care of 2017 TI Sport Q2 a few months back. Got a 3 yr mopar maxcare warranty for $2250. The car was so cheap that with tax, title, and warranty it was about 20K. A good way to go if you are worried about reliability.
Appreciate you brother. Will keep that in mind. @@turbo_cafe
Regarding only 2 engine options, to be fair most manufacturers would have gone with the option of an engine with less than 280 bhp, rather than one in between the standard and 500+ bhp of the Quadrifoglio.
Although I believe that (in Europe at least) the original petrol base Giulia's comes with the same 2 liter engine downtuned to 200 bhp and the 280 bhp is the upgrade. And then there are the 130-180 bhp diesels.
On my 3rd Alfa and have multiple relatives/friends with Giuliana/stelvios.
No one I know has any major issues.
Awesomeee! Great example. People have got to let go of this ridiculous narrative.
Is it normal for the engine to move when pushed?
They did have a third engine, it’s a 2.2 diesel 🤔.
Or is that not available in the US?
No diesel in America 🥲
Italian cars have always been reliable all this bad talk about Italian cars is a total lie and jealousy, especially from the Germans. I currently drive an Alfa Romeo Brera TI, 1.8 TBI bought with 20,000 km now 100,000 on it zero problems so far. Before that I had bought an Alfa Romeo GT 1.9 JTD with 50,000 km and sold it with 200,000 km. JTD engines are absolutely indestructible. I also had a 147 2.0 TS bought with 100,000 km and sold with 250,000 km, never any problems. With the 147 and GT there were a few material qualities that I didn't like but otherwise they were very reliable cars.
What’s the potential avg mpg in eco for a person who drives for a living❓
highway? 34ish mpg plus or minus 2mpg.
@@alphasaur city what would u say ?
@@davidn5334 really depends on what city, maybe 20-23ish straight city (assuming like nyc)
You're alright with me.
Cheers!🍻
Whoever put an orange interior on a red car was hitting the meth pipe a bit too hard...
If you think that’s orange and not tan, you might be the one on meth 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Alfa doesn't offer an "orange" interior color, so it must be red.
Everything seems boring in that segment except for the Alfa. But the only to find out is to drive one hard. Then you will know.
Porsche 911
Sure, for only twice as much money.
I feel better on my bike. Lol
No fog lamps, and it's unreliable. Super expensive deprecating car. Leasable?
