These are the best value/bang for the buck Teles out there. Considering an Am Professional is north of $1500, I picked one of these up for $775. No brainer. The pickups sounds meh though. Drop in a set of Fralin’s or Lollar’s or whatever you like and you’ve got a stellar guitar for $1k 👍
@@alexgordonepic No. I live in Illinois an bought it from a local shop near my town. My orange one is a Tribute in the Bluesboy config with the humbucker at the neck. I did replace the humbucker with a Stewmac Golden Age as suggested on Phil McKight's "Sharpen My Axe" video. That was $50 mod was a great idea. The Tributes are great instruments for the money. My USA model has 2 single coils like the one in this video, but is butterscotch blonde with a black pick guard. Since I am a wood worker I plan to route the body for a hum bucker at the neck and get a new pick guard.
@@6ps_strength For someone who hasn't held in an electric guitar before, I enjoy it. I have only ever used it VSTs and never through an actual amp, so haven't gotten the full feeling of the mics and stuff. Take my opinions with a grain of salt. Pretty easy to play though and looks great!
Just keep working on your playing and saving man. I remember 10 years ago dreaming about having the money for “high end” gear. Now I buy and sell (in my opinion) expensive guitars relatively regularly looking for “the sound” or just trying new things. Don’t forget though, one great guitar beats 10 “meh” guitars any day. Buy secondhand, if you don’t like it you can usually get your money back and try something new!
I'm a Fender guy BUT G&L FULLERTON ASAT CLASSIC IS NOT LIKE A FENDER TELECASTER. THE G&L FULLERTON ASAT CLASSIC IS MUCH BETTER MADE THAN FENDER AND IT'S ON STEROIDS ‼️ MUCH BETTER GUITAR THAN FENDER AND I LOVE FENDER
No....... far from it ............what it is ...is Leo's last Tele period...... It's still Fender at the roots.... And Yes , they are really good , because Leo's always designs great guitars....
i just bouth one,,look like this but its just and indonesian,,produced,,,i love the picks but the neck is so,,out of it that i need to send it back,,its so sad,,because it look nice and sound great,,but sinnggling on f and 15 frets it just impossible,,,the B and E string to get rith of the buzz it a mile away,,and i hope they fix it,,because i really think i will love this,,when the neck is straight
I had similar issue with my S-500 Tribute...got the frets 'fixed' (after I messed with them myself) and now it's a BEAST. I also really like my USA Tele ASAT Classic...better made guitar to be sure...but not appreciably better sounding or playing than the much less expensive Asian brethren.
Today I received this exact model, love the color, the tone, the feel, the playability... Just a fabulous Instrument
do you still like it?
Leo hit it home with this Telecaster. It has a nice bite. I am trying to buy one. Hope I can. Thank you for a great review and keep up the great work.

best value............verse best tone........ verse your ears
I have an older one in honeyburst. Great guitar! It also sounds great with amp overdrive to distortion.
Fantastic playing at the end!
Good review. I have an ASAT Classic Bluesboy semi-hollow in that color. You can't argue with that beautiful orange finish.
did you get it at gc in houston? :)

Great review like always guys keep it up! 👍
Just ordered this. First electric guitar! Looking forward to make it sound far less beautiful than it sounds here.

I wish I could afford one, love the sound and the difference sounds that can be created by the pickups.
You can buy the pickups from the G&L site.

@@tylerangle1990 Till the Feds started charging sales tax on used shit anyway
Nothing against Fender but these. G&L Guitars seem to sound better.
NEVER JUDGE sound or Tone by your computer............ how silly of a judgement
@@john-zw9rw but they do I’ve got this.
Great review and playing
Body of alder or ash ?
What's the diff between this one and the Tribute Series ASAT classic? Besides price?
The Quality of design.
Tribute is made overseas.
It's pronounced "ay-sat" and is named for "Anti-Satellite". Leo named a few of his guitars - like the S-500 - for military technology.
Yeah he sounds like he says"The G&L asshat classic"
@@angelaashe3689😂
Better than a telecaster
Great guitar ... ! 👌
It's pronounced "Ay Sat'' not "Ah Sat' and it stands for Anti-Satellite Technology. Many of the G&L guitars are named after military equipment.
It sounds like he's saying ass hat, lol!
I thought I heard Leo Fender say that ASAT stood for After Strat After Telecaster, but I can't find where I heard that.
@Katy Smith The people from G&L pronounce it Ay-Sat, but of course you may pronounce it however you wish. You're always right.
Great playing.
Rad!

Why are these demo guys always British. Does that make the review more legit?
PMT is a U.K. store.
ahhhh not sure but maybe....its a store ...in great britian
Its A-sat not ass-at
Lol
As in Antisatilite.

The Fullerton ones ARE made in the USA. Its the Tribute Series that are made in Indonesia. I have a Tribute Commanche and its a great guitar.

Wow someone finally beat seagull for the ugliest headstock award
I like this headstock ..... Better than tele. Lol well I guess it grew on me.
