Agree ! There are other channels I subscribe to that are showing low views/likes that historically had high counts. I really think its a RUclips issue.
talking about his lesson, I've seen a post about Corey's lesson on true fire, and wanna have a look.... omg you can find some classes from Corey when he was really young xD
G&L is Fender. The down turn of Fender started with the CBS buy out. G&L is the real deal. I'm 73 and have been onboard with G&L since the early 80's. I'm still pushing the Blues. You want a Strat buy a G&L Legacy. Peace Los Angeles
I’m in the UK . Discovered G&L back in the late 1980s when they’re were a couple in my local guitar shop . Bought both but didn’t get on with the Legacy but kept the Asat Special. Both my main guitars now are USA Asat Specials . Got a Tribute one as a back up and it is amazing too ! 😊
Not entering the contest because I already own an ASAT Classic (thin line with a Rosewood board). It’s the first nice electric guitar I’ve ever owned and I almost cry when I touch it. The MFD is one of the most underrated neck pickups speaking as someone who mostly plays jazz.
My man tearing it up. G&L's, especially their American made guitars, smoke the competition. For Strat and Tele style guitars I prefer G&L. For P90's it's Yamaha Revstar. I've owned two Les Paul's BTW. A late 80's and an early 90's. I sold both of them.
I have a g&l asat classic. The stock pickups are great - definitely more “rock and roll” than what comes stock on a fender. The guitar plays well overall. Downside is that it’s REALLY heavy by tele standards.
I recently bought a G&L ASAT Classic (Emerald Blue, tortoise pick guard, and Rosewood over Maple fingerboard). Exceptional Tone and Feel! Love it, encourage everyone to give it a try.
G&L are nice guitars, I like that the guitars made in the U.S. are on par with "other U.S." manufacturers and the price is significantly lower. Corey you knocked it out of the park again that guitar sounded so good I thought it was going to get up and start dancing on its own.
I would love one! Never owned a T style guitar before, but really want to add one to my arsenal. I do own a G&L Tribute S-500 and it’s a KILLER guitar. Big fan of G&L! The MFD pickups sound phenomenal! And would be more than happy with the ASAT over a Telecaster.
~ I have an early 80’s American made G&L L-1000 bass. The 8 coil pickup has so much power it’ll distort some amplifiers if I don’t back off a little volume. Beautiful and built like a Kenworth. Monster bass. Legendary.
Mine is prettier 😝 •• Buterscotch awesomeness 4tw •• Those pickups are awesome. I have Fralin's blues special set on another tele but I like MFD''s more. Super versatile pickups. From country, through blues all the way to hard rock sounds. In my opinion perfect tele pickups. Rock on!
Nice playing Corey!!! I’ve been wanting a Tele style guitar for a while now, just haven’t pulled the trigger. The G & L has the spank, but also a bit more body too it. Absolutely fantastic 👍👍👍
I have a G&L COMMEMORATIVE (May 1993) it's a bit gaudy i.e. gold plated hardware etc but it plays beautifully. Maple neck which I love it's Leo's masterpiece.
I have three ASAT’s including a Special, a Deluxe and Classic. I’ve also owned a few of the Legacies. Only issue with the Legacy (for me) is weight. They were always very heavy. If I could find a light one maybe less than eight pounds, I’d own it! Great review my friend.
I'm late for the giveaway ‼️😂🤣 BUT I'm a Fender guy, love my strat. Now I checked out a professional 2 telecaster and loved it, but didn't buy it yet ( thank God). Fender has gotten too corporate. So I went looking at a G&L Fullerton ASAT CLASSIC and I'm impressed. G&L I played was light, the body reminds me of an Ibanez AZS Prestige and Fender telecaster, bottom line is G&L is a better built guitar than a Fender, it's a Fender on steroids ‼️👍
I just got my g&l fullerton deluxe legacy recently. Love how glassy it is. Its what i imagine a 1954 strat should sound like. The craftsmanship on the neck is amazing too. Its the only strat i love all the positions in. On more 60s style ones that cost more that ive tried sound incredible in the neck and good but not as good in the bridge while the in betweens dont speak to me. And to get the equivalent from fender id have to pay way more.

I've taken a couple of Corey's lessons on Truefire. Excellent teacher and great courses. Also, this year I purchased my dream "Strat," a G&L Legacy using their option-order service. Could not be happier with it. I love Fender too, but everyone should play a G&L before buying a Fender, if they can.
Thanks for demoing the G&L ASAT. I got the ASAT Classic Tribute semi-hollow model about a year ago, I think, so I'll let someone else win this one. Mine doesn't sound like yours, but I don't have your hands.
I have a mid 90's G&L Legacy and a newer custom shop ASAT and they are so very nice. G&L really does make great guitars, especially for the price. Your videos are awesome. Thanks for putting your knowledge out there. Just found this channel and I love it!
@@stratman9449 He is one of my favorite Teachers/ players on the internet… I would gladly pay to see Corey at a live event, would be awesome! I’ve learned a lot from him! Thanks stratman!

I bought the ASAT Tribute SS and the ASAT tribute Bluesboy SH both on Musician't friend Stupid Deal of the Day for $299. The Bluesboy was just on sale last week for that price. Great guitars for cheap cheap.
Congrats on the 50K subs Corey, well deserved and we’ll certainly be here when you make the 100K too. Hope we see a few more vids with this G&L before you send it to its new home, its got a lot of Leo in it, with just a little more punch than a traditional Tele, looks nice from here too.
It's amazing how well Leo designed the original tele, he got so many things right, and that sound profoundly influenced our music. As an aside, when I hit 20 viewers, I'm giving away a personized guitar pick!
hey Corey....ha...that opening solo was just sooo good and down my street.....i like it....and so tele like and "spanky".....great stuff...as always....cheers mate.....😄
Congrats on 50k! Can you please do a lesson on that muting technique where you hit a bunch of strings but only one sounds? Love that sound! It's easy enough to do if you're only playing one note, but I'm finding it really hard to move around and create a melody while muting all strings but one.
Thanks so much, good suggestions. However you may want to check out this video. working-class-guitar.teachable.com/courses/best-of-corey-s-youtube/lectures/40504138
just found this ovecourse its to late to win ... but im looking at the G&L but there made in different places ??? yes ??? im looking for a telestyle with real twang .. witch modle & what country would you subjest thank you
I think Fender was on the right track with the evolution of his guitars, but market pressure dragged him back to the tele/strat shape. Love that G & L found some of his old drawings, namely the Espada, and started producing them.
Hi, from the UK, i have the much cheaper tele asat tribute, but i believe it has exactly the same pickups, ( MFD ) as in the US made models, and for me, it's those that make it a great guitar, for not much money, it play's great, looks great, and sounds great. I'm sure the US made one's are top notch, with much better hardware.
A lil late, but great review and demo nonetheless. 👍 Big fan of G&L craftsmanship, electronics and history. Proud owner of a Fullerton Legacy and would not trade it for anything.👍🇺🇸
I have an ASAT burst out of their custom shop and I would put it up against anything from Fender. I love mine and encourage others approach the brand with an open mind.
Hi Corey, when recording tracks like this for your videos, do you do anything with the guitars in the mix in terms of compression, eq, reverb and so forth? Oh, and by the way, epic playing as usual! 🦾
Thanks! I usually build the track around the guitar tone for these vids. I don't add too much of anything to the guitars. I will mix the other instruments accordingly.
Sassafrass wood body like some of the very early Stratocasters( 1954), must be some-thing special about that wood..Sassafrass ( maybe from Frassino and sasso "Rock-Ash")? Just a guess.

Comanche is the most underrated guitar that no one plays. Genius pickup design.
I agree wholeheartedly G&L is Fender.
I have a couple of G&Ls. One is a March 1982 S-500 with Leo Fender as inspector in the body cavity. Ash and maple. Sweet sound and low action.
I’m in the UK . Discovered G&L back in the late 1980s when they’re were a couple in my local guitar shop .

G&L’s are fantastic guitars and still very affordable.
G&L are amazing guitars. USA models made in the old Fender factory in Fullerton. I'd say dollar for dollar better than new Fenders.
The quality is nice for sure.
got a point there.....or even more.....
They are not made in the “old Fender factory.” They are made in Fullerton CA, in what was the original MusicMan factory.
I have Fender Teles and G&L Teles. My favorite guitar is my G&L with P-90 style pickups. It gets tone my Fenders can't!
I love my 2000 US ASAT Classic semi-hollow...maple fretboard. Fabulous!!!!
The tone on the intro here is absolutely stellar. What an awesome guitar.
