Burner $1 sample + drum loop pack ► chrispunsalan.com/products/burner ↓ Why I continue to make sample packs 1. About 95 % of my audience are producers 2. Sample packs allow me to provide value to other producers 3. They're fun to make
Damn you just out here making beats, original samples, FLIPPING your own samples, with a YT channel AND a podcast? You're a huge inspiration my dude, this channel is an amazing resource and I'm excited to continue to learn from you while watching you grow. Also: LAST MINUTE GANG
my number one dream has always been to make music i can listen to and enjoy and i did that for the first time this week...i just want to say thank you🙏🏾because you (and others) helped me get to that with your willingness to share your knowledge and methods. much love
Thanks for the insight, I recently just started working on my first sample pack and I feel like im starting to enjoy it more than actually making beats
I bought those boonie tunes drum kits from you! literally opened up for more styles for me. I'd chop up the drum loops and use what I'd like (snares preferably) bruh thank you so much for those sounds...
Thanks Chris!! 1, What do you recommend if you don’t know how to play but want to make sample packs? 2. How do you make a sample sound more full and complete?
Thanks Chris for the content you put out. Got me off my ass and back in the game. I’ve grown more in the last 4 months since finding your channel than I have in the last 10 years making music, bro my beats were in the 10,000+ views! I fell off but now I’m back. I’m copping Burner quick. Last Minute Gang 😎
Love seeing you getting the guitar going for more stuff got me inspired seeing you finally pick it up and actually be able to incorporate it into your workflow now 👏
Great Value content. I can see myself creating samplepacks aswell. Love the part of starting and finishing Musical ideas. Taking the beat to completion took me the longest, but iam faster now. Never stop learning. Have a good day Chris!
Big Love from Nigeria 🇳🇬. Please could you do a more in depth tutorial on making the sample itself. Like how you pick sounds how you mix and master etc. Thank You
Great video man, I appreciate you taking the time to make it! I have been offered a job writing acoustic fingerstyle guitar loop packs but feel like im being cut up a bit. They offered 3 ways of payment - either 750 up front for 120 guitar loops, 25/75 split with 250 up front or 50% royalties for 6 years. They sell sample packs and sound fx but the issue here for me is the 50% cut. I believe they take 100% of the publishing royalties and theres no way for me to use my music publishing as they are the ones doing all that and marketing it on their website but the fact that they limit it to 6 years gets me as then I suppose they are saying that I would be forfeiting all writers royalties and compensation thereafter and just doesnt seem like the best option but was curious to know what you have to say. Thanks for your time!
broooo this is so much work.... but its def worth it and you're probably in a groove and got it down pat. thanks for sharing CP! Love the quality content my dude!
Dope video bro! Your loops are dope. And i learned alot... thanks man. One question i may have missed but do you sell your samples/loops on your own site or on a distro site? Or both?
I love these kinds of videos. Really awsm how transparent you are about all of this. Your sample packs have honestly been my favorite. I have more of yours than from anyone/where else 🙌
Oh god, this is a gem for me since I just started the actual work of doing the beats and MIDI thingy. I don't know if am I too late for this LOL but will be making it, hopes up rawr! New Subbie.
Dope dope dopeee!!! I always thought sample packs were some magical thing that producers can buy to make their own beats. Lol. But seriously I always wanted to start making my own. Thanks for the insight
This was really interesting to watch! One question though, I get where the keys and guitar come from, but do you make your own drums from scratch, too?
Great jobs with this sample pack bro! I'm gonna find out on Thurs. if I'm travelling to Toronto for Battle of the Beat Makers 2019 and will def flip one of your samples for that if I do
Thank you so much man. I was waiting for this video for so long for someone to make a vid on how to make sample pack. Can you also make a video on how to use ableton for starters?
How do you keep track of all the royalties of the samples ? How you manage the split sheets? Let’s say someone buys the sample pack, makes a beat with one of the samples and sells it online or even lands a placement with an industry rapper ?
Could you do a video on exactly how to setup website, Shopify and sendowl, felt kinda rushed, so there’s a complete understanding of operations A-Z, thank you and would be much appreciated 🙏🏾
I'm a guitars/ bassist and producer. I was looking to make a big guitar sample pack and I just need to know the steps and how to(s) and what to(s)....Thanks!
Alright chris... One tip on playing a guitar, you have to actually push the string with your fret finger getting the string on tension when you need that vibrato note...
How much mixing do you do for the pack? I've heard it's good to leave it as is so producers have more flexibility with how they want to use it. Do you perhaps leave the stems unmixed to give them that creative freedom? Thank you.
I was wondering about Shopify! Thank you so much! I’m definitely going to study this video a lot more. I might DM you in CKTV as well should I come up with any more questions. Thank you brother! Last Minute Gang!
Been binge watching your videos somewhat. Cool content. Question: How do you go about selecting your reference tracks to create samples pack/beats/get ideas from?
Hi Chris! I have a question for you. is it still worth making sample packs now that Splice is so diffuse? did Splice influenced your sample kits sales? thanks in advance.
Yeah they definitely changed the game, but I think people with strong brands can still survive. If you can figure out a way to make a website similar to splice or maybe even join splice, that's the move.
Do you record the guitar as midi or WAV file? I'm thinking of making samples out of acoustic instruments and vocals only...do they need to be converted into midi and transposed in all keys before being sold? Thanks for sharing your valuable insight.
Hmmm not sure I understand your question. Maybe you're talking about turning a file into a zip file? If that's the case and you're using a mac then just right click the folder and press "compress" If you're using a windows computer maybe this will help: support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14200/windows-compress-uncompress-zip-files
Very Great Video!! I just have a question, What would be the difference in doing this type of sample packs with respect to making beats? Greetings and excellent music!!
The process is similar. These "samples" are really just beats without drums. However, the beats I upload to streaming platforms are much longer and have more sequences.
@@ChrisPunsalanTV Oh very well!, Maybe it was a silly question but I´m starting in the great world of Music production this year, and I´ve been able to learn and advance a lot thanks to YT channels like yours... Thank you very much!!

1, What do you recommend if you don’t know how to play but want to make sample packs?
2. How do you make a sample sound more full and complete?
My recommendation is to start learning an instrument! It’ll make this process so much easier. Melodics or RUclips is a great place to start learnjng
1) Thumbs up’d.
2) Guitar is back & getting better!
3) Always love the designs of your packs.
