That Daredevil by Lee Weeks is part of a great run written by D.G Chichester. It culminates with the sequel to Born Again called Last Rites. If you haven’t read it I highly recommend it.

First - Continue to be in awe of the access to so many incredibly stocked stores you have in New England. The best counter I have is that I don’t have to deal with the crippling cold/snow down here in the south lol. Keep featuring these stores so that they don’t die to online outlets!
Second - I collect in the same way of focusing on specific runs and story arcs so it’s great watching the channel.

Great pickups and that store looks amazing! I went to a store this weekend that was highly touted and nothing was organized. It was so disappointing. Also I was digging in long boxes one day and found a Punisher War Journal 12 signed by Jim Lee! And it was only $4. Such an amazing find.

That’s Entertainment (The Fitchburg location), is my usual LCS, where I have my pull box and such, but I make a pilgrimage down to the Worcester location couple times a month or so to dig through the back issues. Fairly well organized, and a TON of them. My only real complaint is the prices of the back issues. Most of them, obscure run-fillers and all, are $3.99 and up. If you’re lucky, you’ll find a few for $2.99. Most of these are dollar books all the way. They do have a good deal, tho, if you buy 20 you get 20% off.

I will repeat my mantra MA is the real capital of the US comic hobby. I live in the heart of NYC, and there is nothing that compares to this store or most of the flea markets shown on this channel here in my area or in most big cities. I travel enough to know what I am talking about. For those familiar with New Jersey collectibles, he had a similar venue but quickly ran out of new places locally to explore. The cost of doing business in more populated areas is likely why, but there have to be more reasons. We are lucky to have this channel, great job. One additional thought that surprises me is it took so long to learn that, and that LMC is the first high-quality channel in that general location to shine the light on this phenomenon.

That Swamp thing run of books you got are great reads and as much as I enjoy the painted Cover on #34 it is the story that really makes that issue a prize. A romantic interlude between Abby and Swamp Thing that crystalizes their relationship and has really great visuals accompanying the prose. One of my favorite stand alone stories of any comic. Enjoy the books.

Love the Swamp Thing pick-ups! Interestingly, a lot of the Alan Moore Swamp thing issues were not approved by the Comics Code Authority, which by then had lost a lot of its 'authority' over comic book content. These issues are very tame by today's standards, but I do remember at that time the controversy around that title. #34 in particular was a controversial issue. I think DC realized how special this title was at this time (especially with its strong sales) and let the creative team go forward. #53 with Batman is one of my favourites!

That's a great haul for $80! The Moore Swamp Thing issues are great. If you're looking for other good reads from DC, I highly recomend Grant Morrison's Animal Man run, I think most of them can had for just a few dollars each and it's one of the best stories ever. Another great read is the John Ostrander Spectre series. Most of them can be found in dollar bins, although the last 7 or 8 issues in the series are a little pricy because they were way under-printed and one of them is the first appearance of Mister Terrific (rumoured to be in the new James Gunn DCU) - that one goes for about $100.

Thankyou Mike for using the word "behoves" (or "behooves" in US English), your channel offers not just a great deal of fun and interesting comic book facts but also instruction in the English language.
I have Nelson and Murdock on retainer to get me out of those < ahem > embarrassing public situations.
Miller's Daredevil, Byrne's FF, Simonson's Thor - the 1980s was definitely the decade of great writer/artist driven series.
The X-Men have travelled to Asgard a number of times in Annuals and Specials and they are all great reads with top art.
Don't feel too bad Mike, my poor record-keeping in the past meant that for years I thought I needed some comics when in fact I already had them (which is how ended up with three copies of Conan The Barbarian #3, not a cheap comic!).
You have impeccable taste in selecting those Moore-era Swamp Thing issues. Just don't sell them this time! And you're right, Totleben evolved into an excellent painter.
