I thought removing the ability to destroy fabricators was intentional and honestly I thought it was a fair sacrifice, hearing that it was just a bug makes me so happy to be a spear glazer

For the seaf artillery I gather all the shells next to the loader before I activate the terminal so because activating the terminal attracts patrols. Having the shells right there allows you to be long gone before the patrols arrive.
There is but one change to the Spear that I’d like to see. When used against tanks, either the rocket needs to fly higher to spike down on the turret properly, or the Spear just needs to lock onto the turret instead of the main body. Locking a tank only for it to shrug off one of your precious missiles is rather annoying. Edit: hulks tanking a missile that doesn’t hit the eye or vent is also kinda irritating, but the Spear is meant for bigger things so it’s not quite as bad as tanks
Amen to that. It would be awesome to be able to somehow move the reticle in order to choose what you want the rocket to lock onto. I remember not being able to lock onto a fabricator once due to 2 striders guarding it on each side. Pretty annoying, but overall a great buff for the Spear.
I would like to mention that if you throw a thermite grenade after the hulk takes a spear shot it will die to the burn of the thermite even with some of the thermite left burning (as long as you hit any part of the main body if the spear hits the main body)
I’ll play with you if u like . I’m maxed out on level , samples and got all warbonds and only play to help lower levels get samples , medals and super credits now . I don’t like to fight unless I have to and pretty good at forcing drop ships on small bases or interest points to go after the bigger objectives for cooldown purposes.. my tag is @soleprofit559 if u wanna add me
now that flying enemies are more common, i'm curious if we'll get dedicated AA weapons. ...and if they'll ever finish polishing the gunships, mainly the ship's texture issue (occasionally turning all-black on death), the fabricators getting stuck and not spawning pretty frequently, the fab's total lack of destruction VFX (instantly swaps to the destroyed model), and the gunships not catching fire if killed with a body shot instead of an engine shot overall i really enjoy fighting the flying patrols though, and on 1 modifier missions it's nice to not have a stratagem calldown/cooldown debuff
@@Sarge94 I tried it again yesterday, and it worked more consistently without the crashes (i think - soooo many things can crash this game, lol). Also, they have issued a hot fix today, so hopefully it is fixed now. Again.. 😅
just a tip for convenience: if your lucky enough to get S.E.A.F. artillery with a mini-nuke shell, you can use the mini nuke to destroy gunship fabricators almost instantly.
The strider was either hit in the weak spot or soften up by the barrage. Tank one shots seem to be random, depending on where the rocket hits. If it's the turret, i'm pretty sure it's a one shot. Still field testing the Spear.
@@Sarge94 Thank you, personally, I thought that you hit either the neck or the top of a leg on that strider. I'm not surprised as those would be weakspots, and in general shooting the sides of factory striders always seemed to be the way to go.
@@Sarge94 Oh interesting, how do you move the camera view around without moving your Helldiver? I obviously use wasd for direction, but if I move the mouse I run in that direction too, looks very different to how yours works.
Howd you find that plasma rifle? I like the scorcher and plasma punisher but not tried that one since the patch? Another great run, that extract was clean 👌
It's okay after the patch, stagger and medium armor penetration make it usable. Charge rate is also not bad. Scorcher is still better in my oppinion, haven't tried the plasma punisher yet.
@Sarge94 punisher is great for stagger too. Shoots faster but only 8 shots. Once you get the arc it's great for everything but a hulk head on. Definitely worth a look.

The fix-fix is currently causing people who use the Spear to crash, I've had it happen multiple times using the Spear in the past 24 hours.

Rarely due to lack of time 🙁 I work full time, so i usually record during evenings. Hopefully that changes in the future.

That would be cool. For now i highly recommend the scorcher, it just melts gunships.
