Guys, Orys was the half rumoured brother of Aegon.
The Durrandons were the storm king for centuries. The stag was the cigil of House Durrandon. Orys Baratheon kept it after beating King Argilac.

The Baratheons and Durrandons were not related.The Durrandons of the Stormlands existed before Aegon's invasion. In fact the Baratheons trace their lineage back to Aegon's Bastard brother Orys Baratheon
Orys Baratheon conquered Storm's End, defeated the head of the Durradon househole, and then claimed the Deer/Stag symbol of Durrandon as the symbol of House Baratheon after killing Arrgilac Durrandon

Yeah, Balerion the Dread was way bigger than drogon. History has it that his shadow would cover a whole town when he flew over it. Also, the dragon was alive before Aegon's ancestors left Old Valyria so it was at least 120 years. Drogon is just about 6 years old. House Targaryen, man. Epic on a whole other level, brother. The other houses in Westeros can't compare. It's why Daenerys is so great. One member of House Targaryen is out here wrecking shit in comparison to the other houses that have whole family members alive.

Aegon was a ruthless pragmatic conqueror. He's Tywin Lannister + dragons. The reason why he offered peace was because it was more efficient for him to accept their surrender and re-use their armies to continue his conquest campaign. Westeros at the time wasn't a united kingdom but seven different little countries that have had separate kings and killing each other for thousands of years. Him showing mercy to his enemies gives them an out to join him rather than banding together to fight till the end (Imagine if Earth was invaded by aliens and they offered no alternative but death, wouldn't matter what countries all humans would band together).
Also Balerion the Dread, Aegon's dragon was historically the biggest dragon in Westeros history. No other dragon ever came close to his size. For scaling purposes even the massive Drogon is roughly 1/6th the size of Balerion in his prime.
Woah Woah Woah WOAH!!!! I loved Ser Bariston but Ser Arthur Dayne aka The Sword of the Morning was the greatest fighter in History!! You better research it!!! Ned had to cheat to defeat him in the scene in Dorne when he found his sister... they had to cheat, and kill him from behind!!!
Balerion was the biggest dragon and lived until like 200 or 300 years old and after that they put his skull in the crips of the redkeep so yea the giant ass dragon skull you see in the show is Balerion

Balerion was the largest dragon in GoT history. The beast was believed to be large enough to swallow a mammoth whole and that hts shadow would darken an entire city. Also, Jon Snow is a more befitting name for our beloved hero. True by name and paternal blood he is a dragon, but in heart and spirit he is a wolf. Raised by Ned Stark, bonded with the other Stark children, connected to a great white wolf, and praised as a Stark in spirit even though not in name.

The Targaryens actually made Westeros a lot more interesting than it was. Best and most special house.

there was only one Baratheon in Westeros at this point, Orys. Storms End was occupied by an unrelated house, House Durrandon. So when the Targaryens won the battle, Aegon gave Storms End to Orys and thus created House Baratheon. Orys then decided to respect House Durrandon by taking the crown stag and colors and stuff

Aegon had the biggest dragon balerion was so large he could swallow an aurochs whole. he was 200 old. the dragons became larger with every year. Dragons never stop growing

Orys baratheon is aegons half brother. Baratheons we're not in westeroos until the targaryens came. After the war aegon made orys a legitimate Lord and that's how house baratheon became relevent. And why Robert had a claim to the thrown after he killed rhaegar

After seasons 5, 6 and 7, I would hate to watch season 8... I mean, I lost all hype/hope for the show. But I will watch every episode just to enjoy your reactions! I still pop 6x10 from time to time to see you jump in joy when the worm Tommen threw himself out of the window.

Although the show aged everyone, so they get less passes lol IN the books they are all still kids. Dany is 16 (And she is much more "sadistic teenage brat princess with some anger issues" :), Sansa is 14... I think that Tommen is about 9 or 10. That's now. In the first book, they were even younger. Dany was 13 when she was married to Drogo.

Yeah, it's not terrible overall, if you forget about certain aspect. I don't really watch that many shows to be honest. But I think that after season 4, it was clear that d&d just wanted to be over with GoT so they rushed and threw all the great things about the first 4 seasons out the window.
