To me Dudley was the genius in that duo. Multi talented, played piano and violin exquisitely, funny, could act, do comedy ……’. Great talent

amazing dialogue and delivery, brilliant comedians with the chops of world class actors. and let's not forget they wrote all their own stuff, largely from the mind of peter cook, but dudley was no slouch, he obviously had a large hand in this dialogue.

Classic Pete and Dud, presumably made before they morphed into Derek and Clive.
I remember hearing this on Radio 1's "Fun at One" slot, way back in the day.
I believe that Dud's accent was based on a well known Welsh Trade Union Leader from that era.

Yes, you're right, I made the same comment on another clip of this sketch on You tube a few years ago. I think it was in the 70's or 80's on Radio 1. - it took ages to find it

@@travellingbilly.4032 yep, censorship including self censorship is terrible these days and comedy is damn near finished, and the woke pc brigade are simply awful in every way, however this is a rather clean inoffensive sketch, especially compared to some of the stuff these two chaps came out with back in the good old days.
