if i got a tenner every time i see a comment on a video from decades ago lamenting about how things ain't half as good now as they were back in the day well, i'd have about forty or fifty squid!🐙🦑
Hip, hip and a Cheerio to ya mates. Well well... Here we find, and much to my delight, the same two blokes I remember from that trendy, and just a tad crampy 1967 spoof 'Bedazzled'. Blimey! I never would'a thought these amps had a history preceding that one; and a very early "Indie" one it was. Well ya learn something new every day here on RUclips. I was just 11 years old in '67, and I'm 67 now. That makes for a partially universal-arc learning curve; one that landed me right smack dab in the middle of Berkshire, or maybe Barclay Square somewhere, at that wonderful early-global, mid-century era Wimpy Burger/Tastee-Freeze eat- in luncheonette where Dudley was working as a short order cook in the movie. Hmm... lemme see,1967. err.... ah 67 years old now. Maybe I'm onto something. I'll consider playing that number in the lottery. Serendipity can be a friend sometimes. 😅
Benny Hill may have had an input on this earlier fare, or he may have at least learned and borrowed a thing or two from them, or, could it be the other way around?
I can literally feel Dud's pain as Cook chips away at his composure until he breaks. Credit where credit is due - it takes a brave man to go toe to toe with Cook with improv. Love it!
I can watch these over and over and laugh as hard as I did the first time. Genius stuff.
I never get board of watching Pete and dud, such a shame the bbc wiped so many tapes, such a tragedy
Reason enough alone not to pay the TV license fee.
"'very often, during the winter months.....'his R's blew off" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah. AHAHAHA ! That's GAOLD, Dud! GAOLD! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
And then they’re both going to the W-onkey house!! (The M is upside down) 😂😂😂
Kiss someone up the Staines bypass 🤣🤣🤣🤣
SO DANG FUNNY ! hahahahaha Ahhhhh ... Miss them terribly ... What GENIUSes ... geniii ...
I think you might have to be from the south of England to realy get that one.
Pete and Dud, Sublime English humour. ❤
Unbelievably funny. Could watch these 2 forever
Wonderful, there is nothing around today that comes near this standard.

Oh my fuckin’ god, these guys are hilarious!
Busty substances.
Hilaaarious !!!
No comedians like this today
They could stand on the Chiswick flyover and kiss ‘em up the Stains by pass

How can someone of your (and my) age not have been aware of Pete and Dud as separate from Bedazzled?
I wonder if Delboy got his facial expressions from Dud?
The gecko got lumbered wit' flies. LOLOLOL !! 🐊
Yeh.
Had no idea whu Dudley Moore was when he made it big here in the colonies. These 2 are true comic geniuses.
The Shakespeare stuff - the asp - HAHAHAHA !!
And Pete just casually slipping in 'scansion'
Just simply brilliant
They don,t do 'em like this any more(Moore!!)
Dudley's eyes twitching trying not to break makes the comedy.
Lorne Michaels owes these guys a lot. This is 1960s SNL
Brilliant.

Benny Hill wasn't funny

Was the all improv?
Much of it was!@@TapDancingOnYoFace
amasing how an educated person like peter cook can call a snake poisonous
