I just found this video looking for reviews on the Wacom tablet and I really love the piece you made. I've recently picked up drawing a few months ago since I dropped it a couple of years back in high school, but I wanted to upgrade my method to digital instead of paper and pencil. I didn't really know what tablet to get or if I needed drivers or software until I found you and this video and the info you gave made my mind up. Thank you so much, I'm really glad it was helpful! I personally use a laptop, so I zoom in and out with my trackpad, but otherwise I would recommend zooming with a shortcut :) in Photoshop it's "control +" to zoom in & "control -" for zooming out, on Mac it's command instead of control as far as I know :) you can also move around by pressing the space bar and clicking and dragging the canvas. Hope this helps! :)

Oh that's really unfortunate! :( I honestly can't say I've experienced anything like that, I've been using the same nib for a few weeks now and the surface has only appeared as if it had been scratched but it was just some dirt or something 😅 I do think that the nibs would wear down a lot quicker if you tend to press really hard 🤔 Hope this helps anyway 🙈

Hm yeah, I get that. I think the nibs probably tend to wear down more quickly because the surface is pretty rough, which I really appreciate, because it gives you a little more grip, but I don't think it would wear down that quickly.. there might have been an issue in the production or something like that 🤔

As I'm just a beginner when it comes to digital drawing, I think I'll go for a Huion for the time being since it's way more affordable and, from what I've seen, also very reliable. You're completely right... I've been bouncing between three different tablets (a Huion, an XP-Pen and this Wacom) and they all seem to just be really good, just maybe some details here and there, so It's hard to just pick one XD Maybe I'll try for a Wacom in the future when I want to try for alternatives. I don't think I'll have any preferences for texture since I've never used a tablet before, so I'm not particularly worried about that ^v^ Again, this was really helpful

have you tried clip art studio pro, and do you suggest adobe photoshop? im researching to start to draw on computer/laptop, but im experienced in drawing on ipad, (procreate). thank you!
Hi! Unfortunately I haven't tried clip art studio pro yet, I have only really worked in photoshop so far so I can't really compare it, but it really depends on what you're looking for. As far as I know, procreate is very intuitive, I think photoshop takes a bit more time to get used to. It does have a lot of great tools, so I personally really enjoy it but I think there are a lot of great drawing programs out there. You have to keep in mind that photoshop can be quite expensive, so if you're on a budget I probably wouldn't recommend it because there are so many cheaper alternatives that are just as good for starting out. Hello! I love this video! I am starting college this fall. I would use it for notetaking and learning illustration and photography with design. I am torn between picking the Small or Medium Which should I pick?
Hi! I'm glad you enjoyed the video :) For me personally the medium is just right, but that probably comes down to personal preference. (I also have not tried the small one) The medium also fits into bags pretty easily, so I would say if it's in your budget and you like to work on a bigger surface, go for the medium :)

Hm maybe they have a different Wacom tablet, the intuos m really is not very big, it's roughly 16x20cm 🤔 I use a MacBook pro with a 13" monitor so I don't think it would be too big for yours :) the size of the tablet itself doesn't really matter for your monitor, because it's kind of like when you use a mouse and you cover a larger area than what you're actually moving the mouse, if that makes sense :D
Thanks for your question :) I personally have not yet experienced anything like that and yes, you can assign different keyboard shortcuts for the buttons on the pen. so if you want, you could set one of them to "e" for an eraser and the other one to "b" for the brush if that's something you use a lot :) hope this helps :D

Hey, thanks for the question ☺️ As far as I know only the Wacom intuos series comes with a software and unfortunately I haven't actually tried them out 😅 I'm not sure if mine has the software added, because I bought it off of amazon, but I'll definitely check it out and let you know 😄 but as for corel painter, I've heard a lot of good things about it, so I'd say it's worth checking it out too, hope this helps! 🤗
Im confused between this tablet and the Huion hs611. The three main differences are that hs611 has twice the number of pressure levels (4000 for wacom and 8000 for huion) , the buttons ( there are a lot more buttons in the huion) and the pen stand (which huion does have but wacom doesn’t). Im more inclined to buy the wacom because of personal reasons but the huion looks to be a much better option. Do you think these three differences actually matter or are they just trivial? I'm not sure what the price difference is and it really depends on what you're looking for. I personally think you probably won't notice the difference in the pressure levels, especially if it's your first drawing tablet. With the other two features I think it depends on if you think you'll use the buttons a lot and if the pen stand is important to you. I'm sure both options are great choices, so if the price isn't too different I would just go for whatever sounds better to you ☺️ really hope this helps!
Thanks for the question, I don't think the tablet will make you draw faster or more accurate, you will still have to get used to drawing/painting with a tablet if you haven't tried it before. I don't know how much experience you have with digital art but if you're just starting out, I think it can be useful to think of it more like a larger mousepad with a pen instead of a mouse, so it will be closer to drawing on paper with a pen, but you need to learn how to use whichever painting software you end up using I hope this helps!

Hi. I have a question with regards to the license keys for the 3 softwares. Did you receive license keys for corel painter essentials and corel aftershot pro 3 because I only received a license key for clip studio.
Hi, thank you for your question, so I'm not entirely sure how the software licenses work, I didn't actually try them out since I use Photoshop, but I think they also vary depending on which model you get... Maybe you could contact the support if yours didn't come with all of them :) sry I can't be more of a help :/

I've only used the Huion tablet from the video and the wacom intuos m and I think I prefer the texture from the wacom tablet because it's much less slippery and a bit closer to paper. Hope this helps!

Hey, I always reply, don't worry :) you don't need a glove for the Wacom tablet, it only reacts to the pen, I personally like to wear a glove sometimes because it makes it easier to slide over the surface with your hand but that's about it :D
Hi there, this was very helpful I am thinking about buying this wacom, please bear with me, my question may sound silly, but I am extremely new to digital art. Will I have to buy all the extra programs like photoshop in order to draw in them? What programs do you use?
Hi, I'm really happy I could help, especially since you're new to digital art! And don't worry it's not a silly question, so you do need the programs because the tablet doesn't actually have any interface or storage or anything like that, it's more just like a mouse and a mouse pad but instead of the mouse you use the pen and instead of the pad you use the tablet itself to draw with ☺️ I hope this makes sense!
Oh and I used to use photoshop because you can get it for a bit cheaper as a student but I pretty much only use procreate on my iPad since I bought it. A really good free drawing software is krita, I haven't personally tried it but I've heard really great things about it!
You can assign one of the buttons on the tablet a keyboard shortcut for zoom in and zoom out (Ctrl +, or Ctrl -) or you can just use the track pad on your laptop (which is what I do), or you could also use the zoom tool and set that to a shortcut for one of the buttons on the tablet :) hope this helps!
Do you mean how long the battery lasts, or how long you can use the tablet in total? 🤔 For me, the battery lasts serveral hours (I haven't tested exactly how many) and as for lifetime in general, I honestly can't really say, because I have only been using it for a couple of months, but it still works the same as the day I got it, if that helps 🙈
That's a good question, so it does have a cable for charging so you could technically plug it into your computer. I'm not entirely sure if it works the same way though, I'll have to try it out, so I'm gonna get back to you once I do :)
Hey sorry this took a bit longer to answer, but I just tried it out with the cable and it works just the same :) you can also connect it via bluetooth and charge at the same time btw
Hi yes, I wouldn't really recommend it for just writing, but to be honest you get pretty used to it for drawing/painting, especially if you've never used a screen tablet. You do see where the cursor is, like when using a mouse so it's not too hard but again, not the best for writing I would say, hope this helps :)
Yes, you can zoom with the pen if you press z in Photoshop, which is the keyboard shortcut for the zoom tool, then you can use the pen to glide over the surface and zoom that way (hope that makes sense) :)
I'm not sure what you mean... The pen itself doesn't make any sound, but there's gonna be some tapping sounds everytime you out it on the tablet, hope this helps
Hi, no you can use it connected if you already have it and can't use bluetooth, I just wouldn't recommend buying it and then using it just with the cable because that kind of defeats the point of buying a bluetooth tablet if that makes sense :) but again there won't be any issues using it connection as far as I know
Hi, so there is the Wacom intuos line, which does not support the tilt function, but then there is also a pro version which does support it, so maybe it's just a different model :) I hope this makes it less confusing :D
Hi, yes it works just the same with a cable but I guess it would make more sense to just buy a non bluetooth tablet? I think the bluetooth function makes it a bit more expensive so I would probably just buy a different tablet instead :)
Oh you're from sweden that's cool :) I don't think there's a version without bluetooth I meant that you should consider buying a different tablet entirely because it doesn't make a lot of sense to buy a bluetooth tablet when your pc doesn't support it, hope that makes sense :D there's a lot of great tablets out there with cable so I'm sure you'll find a better option :)
Yes it works with any laptop or pc that has bluetooth or just a usb port. The only thing you have to do to make it work is download the driver before using it :)
I can definitely relate to that :/ maybe there's some kind of a screen protector you could get like the paperlike screen protector for the ipad that gives you a bit more grip :)
@@artandbujos i will look into that. because for my case of getting a cintiq is high risk as there are no shop to try it out and no service centre should anything go wrong and it costs about 2 months of my salary to get a cintiq in where i am living.
Okay, yes I would definitely recommend finding an alternative first, ciniqs can be incredibly expensive I don't know what exactly your needs are for a tablet but there are also some more affordable options (for example by huion) that can hold up to that high standard as far as I know (there are some great reviews on youtube) I really hope you can find a solution that suits your budget :)

Hey, thanks for your question, you can use any software on your computer with a tablet like the Wacom intuos series :) I think it's helpful to think of it more like an extra large mousepad with a pen instead of a mouse, so the programs don't really have anything to do with the tablet, it's just a different way of using your computer (I hope that makes sense 😄) unfortunately I don't really know anything about Corel or csp, but you should be able to find an answer on Google 🤔
Why do you only use a small portion of the tablet's active area? You're the first digital artist I know who does that.... Why not just get the small tablet then, and save a few bucks?

Sorry for the late reply, It's really just personal preference and nowadays I use my iPad so I use the whole area, but sometimes it can be nice for navigating the screen because you don't have to move the pen around so much. I would only do this with tablets that don't have a screen like this one, so it's basically the same thing as increasing the speed of your mouse (again just personal preference though) Hope this helps!
Well since it's plugged into your computer you wouldn't use it with the Bluetooth but instead via the cable, hope that makes sense, so you can only use it on the computer or laptop it's plugged into :)

The Video is on English then when you installed the drivers I found out that you speak German. I'm German too and I've saved 160€ and I want to buy the best drawing tablet that I can afford with it. Bisher gefällt mir XP-Pen Star 06 Medium sehr gut, aber auch das Wacom Intuos M scheint auch genau so gut zu sein. Hier in Portugal wo ich lebe, haben wir ein Laden namens Worten und die haben eine Rabatt-Aktion und verkaufen gerade die Grafiktablets sehr günstig so 20-70€ manche sogar 80-149€ gerade die Wacom, Huion und XP-Pen Produkte. Alles was unter dem Preis (160€) liegt, kann ich mir zum Glück leisten. Hoffentlich haben sie diese Rabattaktion auch Morgen noch. Und ich schaue mir gerade alle Unboxing Videos an von all den Produkten die Worten im Shop verkauft. Für Leute wie mir die im Ausland leben bzw Portugal, ist es gut dass wir Worten haben, man kann da auch Online bestellen, doch ich gehe lieber persönlich zum Laden, weil ich mich hier mit Online-Bestellungen nicht so sicher fühle wie in Deutschland. Ich bin so Hyped darauf, ich möchte unbedingt Anime Charaktere zeichnen, malen und Fakemons erstellen, ich möchte daraus eine Karriere machen. Vielen Dank für dein Video, das hat mir sehr geholfen.

Pinnacle of corporate greed. They placed the buttoms on top on purpose. Its horrible. Even my 10 year old bamboo & touch has better key layouts with software to make it for left or right handed. Buttons on top 100% shit

I'm not sure what the price difference is and it really depends on what you're looking for. I personally think you probably won't notice the difference in the pressure levels, especially if it's your first drawing tablet. With the other two features I think it depends on if you think you'll use the buttons a lot and if the pen stand is important to you. I'm sure both options are great choices, so if the price isn't too different I would just go for whatever sounds better to you ☺️ really hope this helps!

Thanks for the question, I don't think the tablet will make you draw faster or more accurate, you will still have to get used to drawing/painting with a tablet if you haven't tried it before.
I don't know how much experience you have with digital art but if you're just starting out, I think it can be useful to think of it more like a larger mousepad with a pen instead of a mouse, so it will be closer to drawing on paper with a pen, but you need to learn how to use whichever painting software you end up using

I think it could be good for professionals, but it probably depends on your budget. I can't really speak for any professionals though, since I wouldn't consider myself a professional either 😅

I've only used the Huion tablet from the video and the wacom intuos m and I think I prefer the texture from the wacom tablet because it's much less slippery and a bit closer to paper. Hope this helps!

Hey, I always reply, don't worry :) you don't need a glove for the Wacom tablet, it only reacts to the pen, I personally like to wear a glove sometimes because it makes it easier to slide over the surface with your hand but that's about it :D

Hi there, this was very helpful I am thinking about buying this wacom, please bear with me, my question may sound silly, but I am extremely new to digital art. Will I have to buy all the extra programs like photoshop in order to draw in them? What programs do you use?
Hi, I'm really happy I could help, especially since you're new to digital art! And don't worry it's not a silly question, so you do need the programs because the tablet doesn't actually have any interface or storage or anything like that, it's more just like a mouse and a mouse pad but instead of the mouse you use the pen and instead of the pad you use the tablet itself to draw with ☺️ I hope this makes sense!
Oh and I used to use photoshop because you can get it for a bit cheaper as a student but I pretty much only use procreate on my iPad since I bought it. A really good free drawing software is krita, I haven't personally tried it but I've heard really great things about it!
How to zoom with pad?
You can assign one of the buttons on the tablet a keyboard shortcut for zoom in and zoom out (Ctrl +, or Ctrl -) or you can just use the track pad on your laptop (which is what I do), or you could also use the zoom tool and set that to a shortcut for one of the buttons on the tablet :) hope this helps!

Do you mean how long the battery lasts, or how long you can use the tablet in total? 🤔 For me, the battery lasts serveral hours (I haven't tested exactly how many) and as for lifetime in general, I honestly can't really say, because I have only been using it for a couple of months, but it still works the same as the day I got it, if that helps 🙈

Is this bluetooth only? Can you connect the intuous to the PC with a cable?
That's a good question, so it does have a cable for charging so you could technically plug it into your computer. I'm not entirely sure if it works the same way though, I'll have to try it out, so I'm gonna get back to you once I do :)

Hi yes, I wouldn't really recommend it for just writing, but to be honest you get pretty used to it for drawing/painting, especially if you've never used a screen tablet.
You do see where the cursor is, like when using a mouse so it's not too hard but again, not the best for writing I would say, hope this helps :)

Yes, you can zoom with the pen if you press z in Photoshop, which is the keyboard shortcut for the zoom tool, then you can use the pen to glide over the surface and zoom that way (hope that makes sense) :)

Hey, yeah you can use it with any kind of software, think of it more as like a kind of mouse with mousepad but instead it's the tablet and a pen :)

I'm not sure what you mean... The pen itself doesn't make any sound, but there's gonna be some tapping sounds everytime you out it on the tablet, hope this helps

Hi, no you can use it connected if you already have it and can't use bluetooth, I just wouldn't recommend buying it and then using it just with the cable because that kind of defeats the point of buying a bluetooth tablet if that makes sense :) but again there won't be any issues using it connection as far as I know

Hi, so there is the Wacom intuos line, which does not support the tilt function, but then there is also a pro version which does support it, so maybe it's just a different model :) I hope this makes it less confusing :D

Hi, yes it works just the same with a cable but I guess it would make more sense to just buy a non bluetooth tablet? I think the bluetooth function makes it a bit more expensive so I would probably just buy a different tablet instead :)

Does this work with Lenovo laptop?
Yes it works with any laptop or pc that has bluetooth or just a usb port. The only thing you have to do to make it work is download the driver before using it :)
wacom intuos pro M pth651 surface is slippery like paper. its so hard to draw on. i bought it in 2014.......but it has tilt function and buttons.
I can definitely relate to that :/ maybe there's some kind of a screen protector you could get like the paperlike screen protector for the ipad that gives you a bit more grip :)
@@artandbujos i will look into that. because for my case of getting a cintiq is high risk as there are no shop to try it out and no service centre should anything go wrong and it costs about 2 months of my salary to get a cintiq in where i am living.

I don't know what exactly your needs are for a tablet but there are also some more affordable options (for example by huion) that can hold up to that high standard as far as I know (there are some great reviews on youtube) I really hope you can find a solution that suits your budget :)

Hey, thanks for your question, you can use any software on your computer with a tablet like the Wacom intuos series :) I think it's helpful to think of it more like an extra large mousepad with a pen instead of a mouse, so the programs don't really have anything to do with the tablet, it's just a different way of using your computer (I hope that makes sense 😄)

Why do you only use a small portion of the tablet's active area? You're the first digital artist I know who does that.... Why not just get the small tablet then, and save a few bucks?

Sorry for the late reply, It's really just personal preference and nowadays I use my iPad so I use the whole area, but sometimes it can be nice for navigating the screen because you don't have to move the pen around so much. I would only do this with tablets that don't have a screen like this one, so it's basically the same thing as increasing the speed of your mouse (again just personal preference though)

Well since it's plugged into your computer you wouldn't use it with the Bluetooth but instead via the cable, hope that makes sense, so you can only use it on the computer or laptop it's plugged into :)

The Video is on English then when you installed the drivers I found out that you speak German. I'm German too and I've saved 160€ and I want to buy the best drawing tablet that I can afford with it.
Bisher gefällt mir XP-Pen Star 06 Medium sehr gut, aber auch das Wacom Intuos M scheint auch genau so gut zu sein. Hier in Portugal wo ich lebe, haben wir ein Laden namens Worten und die haben eine Rabatt-Aktion und verkaufen gerade die Grafiktablets sehr günstig so 20-70€ manche sogar 80-149€ gerade die Wacom, Huion und XP-Pen Produkte. Alles was unter dem Preis (160€) liegt, kann ich mir zum Glück leisten. Hoffentlich haben sie diese Rabattaktion auch Morgen noch.
Und ich schaue mir gerade alle Unboxing Videos an von all den Produkten die Worten im Shop verkauft. Für Leute wie mir die im Ausland leben bzw Portugal, ist es gut dass wir Worten haben, man kann da auch Online bestellen, doch ich gehe lieber persönlich zum Laden, weil ich mich hier mit Online-Bestellungen nicht so sicher fühle wie in Deutschland. Ich bin so Hyped darauf, ich möchte unbedingt Anime Charaktere zeichnen, malen und Fakemons erstellen, ich möchte daraus eine Karriere machen.

Pinnacle of corporate greed. They placed the buttoms on top on purpose. Its horrible. Even my 10 year old bamboo & touch has better key layouts with software to make it for left or right handed. Buttons on top 100% shit
