Ok, so a battery-powered shaker cup......isn't that a bit.....extra? How hard can it be to shake a dang cup? This is a gimmick....etc...
I know...I thought the same thing. Another fitness trinket is designed to do nothing except take your money. But then, I thought about it...
The worst part about standard shaker cups isn't the shaking. It's when you shake, and you still have clumps in your drink. It's having a bunch of undissolved powder at the bottom of your cup. It's the surprise that tries to sneak its way down your throat mid-gulp.
Those are the worst parts about using standard shaker cups. So my thought was....can a battery-powered shaker fix those problems? Or at least, can it make it a little better? So I tried the VOLTRX USB-powered shaker cup out, tried it on 3 different types of powders....and you'll have to watch the video to see how it goes.

That was a good review, I like how you used 3 different things to mix in it.
I bought it for the same reason as you. I hate the "chunky floaty". So worth the $30.

I know it doesn’t blend ice, but it would be interesting if you could use this for a cold drink with ice.
You can get blendjet for that
Id say no. The mixer is plastic and at max speed would shatter on ice
Question what do you find is the best way to clean it? The easiest and best way.....do you use a brush or just soap
Uusually, just hot water and soap and let it run on the long spin cycle. Sometimes I'll take a brush and get in there, just for peace of mind...but I am also careful to make sure to rinse it out after each use as well, even if it's not a full "clean". That helps to make sure nothing really ever builds up in it.

Hi, i just bought one and it mixed for about 2 seconds and stopped, now the light has been continuously on and will not blend, so you know why this is or have you had this problem? I think it may be manufacture issue as I barely unpacked the bottle and the first blend was an issue
Hey Brianna, sorry to hear that! No, both of my Voltrx worked as expected out of the box. If it's me, I'm gonna let that battery run down till the light goes off, then plug it in to try a full recharge and see if it "clears" the base. If that doesn't work, def return it for a different one.

The stuff at the bottom is creatine. Creatine doesn't dissolve

How well does it work using a full 20oz load? Rhetorical question anyways, as I have one on the way.
Mixes just fine, but make sure you put the lid on before you mix. The vortex action pushes the liquid away from the middle of the cup and up the sides...so without a lid its likely to overflow once the cycle starts...keeping the lid on will keep that from happening.

Hey, I actually can't speak to that...I don't drink anything short so I don't have any firsthand experience. I think my concern there would be....would the hot liquid affect the plastic spinner inside? I'm sorry, I don't quite have an answer on that.

Sorry, I havent seen those scoops, so I can't say for sure. I can say I know my military friends does some sort of MRE in them, which is really thick and said it works great. That's about the closest I can say.
Blender bottles somehow got a patent on the ball spring which is bull shit. any company should be able to use such a simple element. Greedy greedy greddy, so I use anything but blender bottles.
How is it holding still??
Still several months later, and zero issues. We even accidentally washed it in the dishwasher, the base still charges and works great (now a month later). I even have another one on the way :)
Just got one and it says to replace the shaker bottle every 3 months or so. Anyone done that??

One thing I've def learned about this cup...is that i also prefer to pu the powerder in ahead of time too...then put the lid on (but open). I've had a few times that the "vortex" action pushed the liquid up and over the sides of the cup...so having the lid on and THEN starting it has worked well for me too.
I purchased this and it's junk. It won't even charge.
yeah thats no good...send that back and get a different once. this video was made almost a year and a half ago, and both of my cups are still running strong. i think you got a dud.

Hey, yeah, came on instantly. I just did it again, just to make sure. Did yours come on at all, even during the mixing part? Mine pulses during that.
I feel dumb, it was actually because I didn't have the plug pushed into the base completely, I was nervous of breaking something cause the port seemed further in then it should of been, but after pushing abit harder the plug went further in then switched on with the lights and was charging.
