In a truly free market economy... Everything is a commodity... Including human beings... That's called slavery. And ends up with a very few people owning everyone else. Which would then collapse economically. A functioning economy is a balanced economy (between command and demand) in which feedback from top to bottom keeps the pot boiling.
when you pretend to make a living from helping people (the video of exec saying we're here to protect the people from unneccasry treatments) and its starkly obvious you make a living from peoples misery, thats more than the people can bear at this point, americans may finally unite under this tragedy. and that above all else it terrifies the hunger games leaders.
The reason all mainstream does not want to speak about this is because they are just messengers and a fellow messenger just got shot in the back. They are scared and starting to realise there is now a serious issue in which they can no longer just tell people what to do since they have no moral authority.

Had to laugh at that Pierce Morgan clip. That show is purely, kabuki theater. Pierce has no intention of promoting substance, logic, or facts into any discussion, it's all about stocking the flames on any subject.
“Power depends ultimately on physical force. By teaching people that violence is wrong (except, of course, when the system itself uses violence via the police or the military), the system maintains its monopoly on physical force and thus keeps all power in its own hands.” “There is nothing wrong with violence in itself. In any particular case, whether violence is good or bad depends on how it is used and the purpose for which it is used.” Ted Kaczynski. Industrial Society and its future. Or to put it in the Bard’s words “there is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so”. Violence, in particular in America, is relative. An individual executing another individual is considered illegal and immoral. Yet if authority does it, it’s considered “right” hence why the death penalty still exists in a lot of states. Murder is defined as the unlawful killing of any person with an intention to kill or to cause grievous bodily harm to that person. Which obviously stalking and the shooting someone falls under. But I would argue that the CEO’s actions also fit that definition as his, like so many American health and insurance companies do. If you actively deny someone healthcare that can save their lives then you are effectively murdering them by proxy and in action. Sure he wasn’t walking up to every person his company denied a claim to and fired a bullet into them, but for all intents and purposes that’s what his companies denials have and continue to result in! Death. So on my opinion this CEO, was more of a mass murderer than Ted Bundy and no judge or jury or journalist had any problem seeing Ted Bundy executed. And he only killed around 30 people, thousands have died due to lack of healthcare because it’s not covered by insurance in the US, most preventable deaths. Sure the CEO wasn’t playing with the bodies, no he was worse. CEOs are more likely to be sociopaths than the average person. You would have to be to kill that many people.

Clearly when people have caused a lot of harm, particularly when they have personally benefited from doing that harm, their demise isn't a sad thing for most people. Corporate media does not get it.
I mean, everyone could piss on Bin Laden all day, but if we count the death toll, I don't think even he can compete with how many people ended up dead for completely preventable medical issues due to their claims and treatments being denied by United Healthcare. Systemic elimination of people's lives is just on a different level
according to the National Institution of Health NIH 45,000 Americans died just last yr because they were denied healthcare or couldn't afford it and I bet the number is much. much higher
"Left" and "Right" are terms used to control the discourse and in most usage doesn't even reflect individual or group proclivities needs or policy positions. The discourse of left and right is the managerial language of discourse control. If you must use the terms you should immediately problematise and then unpack and explain the terms usage.

I am crossing my fingers with you! But we also need to act. First of all by starting to boycott these corporations in big numbers. Buy less. Pay more to small businesses! Got a farmer near by? Buy from him/her!
May I just comment on one thing? When a person is constantly beaten, they become numb to pain. The same applies on an emotional level-prolonged emotional abuse causes people to block out any sympathy for what has been done to them. This is one example of how corporate greed has made us numb, leaving no room to feel sorry for them.

One reason for the response outside the US is simple human sympathy - perhaps even solidarity - with ordinary American people having to live through the horrors of their system.
I have some sympathy with them - but it IS limited. They actively vote to maintain (or degrade) their own lot in life.

The reason all mainstream does not want to speak about this is because they are just messengers and a fellow messenger just got shot in the back. They are scared and starting to realise there is now a serious issue in which they can no longer just tell people what to do since they have no moral authority.
I used to work for that company, and I agree with the people. I was in charge of newborn babies, and you can bet that I refused to deny anything. But I was also an attorney (multiple degrees) so they could not force me. Can't mention anything else, non-disclosured papers signed.
If you’re a lawyer you know an NDA trying to force people to not report crimes, especially crime that are causing deaths, are null and void.
And illegal to follow.
Where do you practice so I can report you for upholding illegal contracts?
I just don’t understand making a profit from sick people! It seems immoral to me.
Boomer logic. Same reason they bankrupted their own kids to line their pockets.
Had to laugh at that Pierce Morgan clip. That show is purely, kabuki theater. Pierce has no intention of promoting substance, logic, or facts into any discussion, it's all about stocking the flames on any subject.
“Power depends ultimately on physical force. By teaching people that violence is wrong (except, of course, when the system itself uses violence via the police or the military), the system maintains its monopoly on physical force and thus keeps all power in its own hands.”
“There is nothing wrong with violence in itself. In any particular case, whether violence is good or bad depends on how it is used and the purpose for which it is used.”
Ted Kaczynski.
It will be interesting to see how they select the jury. The prosecution will be pushing for a very healthy bunch that haven’t been burned on insurance

Clearly when people have caused a lot of harm, particularly when they have personally benefited from doing that harm, their demise isn't a sad thing for most people. Corporate media does not get it.
Good comparison!
I mean, everyone could piss on Bin Laden all day, but if we count the death toll, I don't think even he can compete with how many people ended up dead for completely preventable medical issues due to their claims and treatments being denied by United Healthcare.
Systemic elimination of people's lives is just on a different level
