Phil win or lose. You are certainly the most wonderful Golf figure in my life. I am turning 76 years old in 8 days. After 4 years of disability and 9 years of no golf, I will be restarting my golf again. I appreciate the example of this magnificent game. Thank You Jerry Olsen
A good measure of someone's humility is how easily they can make fun of and laugh at themselves. This speech would be a good example of that. "I tried to reciprocate by launching drive after drive in their general direction" LOL - hilarious.

I got to meet him at the Phoenix Open in '99. He signed my program and thanked ME. He's been my inspiration to continue golfing into my 40s. Keep it on up Lefty!
Without notes, heartfelt, inclusive--what great words you used to enter the Hall of Fame, Phil. You continue to make the game of golf Fun. Seeing this six months later--you made history by being the oldest to win a Major championship, and inspired many of us, again.
So this is why he’s the master at short game.....he had a short hole in the backyard growing up. This video is why he is my all time favorite. Makes me wanna shed tears of joy

Whenever someone else hits a silly shot, I always say--"Phil could get out of that," because he Has. Master of the short game, the wedge, and pine straw, too.
