Definitely my favorite vampire movie and one of my favorite 80s movies. I was born in 1990 but my mom was a huge horror fan and turned me on to all of the classic 80s horrors and I'm so glad she introduced me to this movie. It's epic!

I saw him at a chiller convention. Made eye contact , turned 100 shades of red, tripped over my own feet and kept going. Yes ,im the world's biggest coward....😂
But I remember back then, it caused most of the main actors to go through an existential acting crisis, to where they had to do really good movies after that. Because they didn't feel it was that good. Kiefer, Jason, Alex, they didn't have much good to say about it back then. The coreys, they didn't care, they would do pretty much anything offered them. I never heard Billy Wirth or Jami Gertz say anything then about it. Billy was on American gladiators two years after making the movie. And pretty much got into a real fight with one of the gladiators.
People also may forget, possibly for the best, that the Producers tried to make a sequel. Of course the Coreys were in it, because they would take any role. And Haim was deep into drugs by that time.
