This past year I have been watching Watching Wagon Train on INSP. I was only 2 years old when it first aired in 57 and remember very little of it as a kid. I think the whole cast was terrific. And what a blast it is to see young guest characters actors and actresses that made their way to stardom as I grew, and some in more of their twilight years also. I think back to the people from the 1840s to mostly into the 1870s that made these trips to the golden west and what an arduous journey that was. Figures range from 5 to 10 percent would die, mostly to disease (cholorae and diptheria) and accidents with the wagons and draft animals. And far more mules and oxen were used, instead of horses. And a great amount of time was to feeding and watering these animals. Also unlike the show portrays, Indian attacks were rare. For the most part, Indian interactions was for the purpose of trading. And if they did attack, they sure as hell would not ride around in circles, setting themselves up as easy targets. Also most men did not wear low slung pistol gun belts and holsters These did not come into existance until the 1950s for hollywood purposes. Instead any that were used were military type. The weapon of choice was a rifle and shotgun. What a shame Ward Bond died to young. I remember seeing a picture this year of Terry Wilson and John Wayne carring his coffin. I met Denny Miller in Palm Springs back in the 1990s. Nice guy and his license plate was XTARZAN. I am also watching Rawhide at this time and it was easy to see why Clint Eastwood became the huge star he is. Also such a shame that Eric Fleming died a year or so after it's ending filming a movie in the Amazon on a raging river rapids they should have never filmed on.
I tape the old Wagon Train shows. Love watching all of them; especially Robert Horton and Ward Bond. Frank McGrath added that special something to the show!
Robert Horton was my favorite on Wagon Train playing Flint followed by Charlie Wooster's character (I can't remember the Actor's name). I still enjoy watching reruns today of Wagon train with my elderly clients.
Love Wagon train. We glad it's on INSP & we watch it daily. I don't remember watching it as a kid. Too many in house at the time. Thanks for the info on the show.
I just got into Wagon Train about a month ago when I saw the last few minutes of the episode "Clyde" where Charlie had a bison for a pet on the train. From there, I began watching it & got hooked on it for its wholesome acting & moral values. My favorite characters from the show are the main cast members from all seasons: Major Seth Adams, Flint McCullough, Bill Hawks, Charlie Wooster, Chris Hale, Duke Shannon, & Barnaby West. I've only seen a couple episodes with Cooper Smith, so he's not been added to my list yet. My favorite episode I've seen most recently is "The Vincent Eaglewood Story" & I'm currently looking for all 8 seasons on DVD (which is proving difficult). But even though Wagon Train is an old show, it's one of the good ones & I hope it continues to air on TV for as long as time allows!
I was born in 1961 so I was alittle young at the time, but over the years I have heard of "Wagon Train" and loving westerns I am going to look into this series of "Wagon Train" and watch some of it. One of the actors on "Wagon Train" that I am famaliar with is "Robert Fuller" my parents and I watched "Emergency" in the 1970's and I remember him being on it. He would be my favorite of Wagon Train. I will gives these actors of Wagon Train credit they all had successful acting careers and a few of them was well educated individuals graduating the top of their class which is a very positive path in life to take.
As a kid of 5 or 6, I knew Robert Fuller from "Emergency" (a huge fan of the series back then, I thought Johnny and Roy were real firemen, lol), but never knew Fuller was on Wagon Train, new to this series, pretty good Western so far! So use to seeing Fuller as Dr. Brackett and not a "cowboy", funny! I wasn't even born when Wagon Train was out. I'm slowly turning into my dad, I'm sure he was a fan of Wagon Train. There's a lot of classic westerns that I watch now.
Ward Bond reminds me of my father, also Frank McGrath and Terry Hawks were good too all the characters were good. Very good family show still watch reruns.
Terry Wilson was my favorite on wagon train I loved his demeanor he was a great actor and I'm sure he was a great human being and he was pretty sexy! The actors that we have today are nothing like they were back in the 50s and 60s but as I said Terry Wilson, or Bill Hawks was my favorite and still is!
I MUST SAY THAT I LOVED THEM ALL THE SAME BECAUSE THEY WERE ALL GREAT ACTORS AND THEY HAD VERY GREAT GUEST ACTORS AND ACTRESSES ON THE SHOW. I WATCH IT EVERYDAY AT 4PM I N CABLE CHANNEL 33. IT IS MY FAVORITE OF THE WESTERN SHOWS I LIKE TO WATCH. I ALSO LOVE GUNSMOKE, THE RIFFLEMAN, BONANZA, THE BIG VALLEY AND WALKER TEXAS RANGER.❤❤💜💜💙💙💚💚💛💛
My favorite is hard to pick. I really like Bill Hawks, Charlie Wooster & both Ward Bond & John McIntire. This show was so good with totally different storylines. One of the GREATS along with Gunsmoke!!!
Ward Bond & Frank McGrath were undoubtedly the best of WAGON TRAIN stars. They made us feel connected to them in every episode. It was never the same after they were gone😢
There ya go buddy Charlie was the best by far . They could never make a show like that now days . I like to see a show were people talk an act like they do in real life but I’d like for it to be set in the time of wagon train .
I liked the original wagon master the most. He was a. Really good actor. I still watch the show on tge INSP Channel. I never get tired of seeing this show. My dad before he passed away was a wester fantastic. He passed it along to me. Thanks Pops!
WARD BOND remains my ALL-TIME-FAVORITE on Wagon Train. It took awhile to understand why WOOSTER was always the BUTT of Jokes regarding his cooking. When I finally viewed The MAJOR ADAMS STORY, I understood the 'bond" created by Major Adams, Wooster and Bill Hawks with their shared experiences during the war. I look forward to my DAILY DOSES of WAGON TRAIN. =Thursday, January 25th 2024=
Wagon Train was one of my favorite westerns. I loved the whole cast but my favorites were Ward Bond and Robert Horton and Fuller and the person who played Duke Shannon. I still watch the reruns everyday. I wish they had had more. I think the first years were better than the last. I wish they would revive this program

Wagon Train appeared on British TV every Sunday evening between 8pm to 9pm. I was 13 yrs old and would still have to go to wash and clean my teeth as soon as it finished then bed ready for school the following morning. However I was allowed to watch the trailer for the following weeks program that delayed the inevitable by just a couple of minutes. It was a time when all the big stars would appear at the London Palladium which was also broadcast live on British TV and pulled in massive audiences. Of course one week Robert Horton from wagon train who had a massive British fan base appeared and sang several songs. I loved the show and never missed an episode.
I think Terry Wilson was one of the most handsome men I have ever seen. There was something about his over all look that really attracted me . Just a hunk as far as I am concerned.

Ward Bond was my hero. I loved his gruff exterior and his soft and loving inside! He was fair and cared about everyone! But I love the show and the characters. I was broken hearted when I found out that Ward Bond died so young and sudden!
It’s amazing to watch Wagon Train these days and to see how humanely they treated the Indian tribes, especially compared with other westerns of the time. Great show!
Wagon Train was before it's time in having a fantastic ensemble cast. The show, stories and guest stars were terrific, but if it wasn't for the contributions of ALL the cast members, the show wouldn't be so fondly remembered. They played off each other brilliantly. That being said, I've had a wicked crush on Robert Horton since I was 5.
It's hard to pick a favorite on Wagon Train - they were all so good. I'm still watching it on MeTV in the Seattle area. I was so sorry that Denny Miller died of ALS. My niece died of it also. A terrible disease!

I will gives these actors of Wagon Train credit they all had successful acting careers and a few of them was well educated individuals graduating the top of their class which is a very positive path in life to take.

Ward Bond was my favorite on Wagon Train. I watch every night on ESPN
Robert Horton was my favorite. I loved his horse.
My favorite was Ward Bond, loved him in everything he starred in
As a kid of 5 or 6, I knew Robert Fuller from "Emergency" (a huge fan of the series back then, I thought Johnny and Roy were real firemen, lol), but never knew Fuller was on Wagon Train, new to this series, pretty good Western so far! So use to seeing Fuller as Dr. Brackett and not a "cowboy", funny! I wasn't even born when Wagon Train was out. I'm slowly turning into my dad, I'm sure he was a fan of Wagon Train. There's a lot of classic westerns that I watch now.
Terry Wilson, definitely the best!!
Ward Bond reminds me of my father, also Frank McGrath and Terry Hawks were good too all the characters were good. Very good family show still watch reruns.
We're happy that you're still watching the Wagon Train. Which episode is the most appealing to you?
Terry Wilson was my favorite on wagon train I loved his demeanor he was a great actor and I'm sure he was a great human being and he was pretty sexy! The actors that we have today are nothing like they were back in the 50s and 60s but as I said Terry Wilson, or Bill Hawks was my favorite and still is!
Love Robert Fuller, excited to hear he is still around & rewatching all Emergency episodes.
Great pick of series! Thank you for sharing your favorites. Be on the lookout for our next video!
My favorite is hard to pick. I really like Bill Hawks, Charlie Wooster & both Ward Bond & John McIntire. This show was so good with totally different storylines. One of the GREATS along with Gunsmoke!!!
Robert Norton my favorite on wagon. Handsome and suave. Great 😃 smile...
Ward Bond & Frank McGrath were undoubtedly the best of WAGON TRAIN stars. They made us feel connected to them in every episode. It was never the same after they were gone😢
So true! Which episode of the show appealed to you the most?
As for other shows from that era, it is hard to beat the 30-minute Gunsmoke episodes filmed in B&W.
My favorite character on Wagon Train was Charlie Wooster.
We're happy to know that you love the show. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. If we may ask, which episode did you like the best?
There ya go buddy Charlie was the best by far . They could never make a show like that now days . I like to see a show were people talk an act like they do in real life but I’d like for it to be set in the time of wagon train .
Wagon Train, Rawhide, Cheyene, Tombstone Territory and The Virginian are my favorite western shows!!!
I liked the original wagon master the most. He was a. Really good actor. I still watch the show on tge INSP Channel. I never get tired of seeing this show. My dad before he passed away was a wester fantastic. He passed it along to me. Thanks Pops!
My two favorites were Frank McGrath and Terry Wilson. They also appeared on the Searchers in the dance scene.
My favorite actor on Wagon Train was Terry Wilson because he was so manly and so nonsense his character was strong
No nonsense
Robert fuller was and still my favourite screen actor i named my eldest son after him x 💙 ❤ 💕
I was devastated when Ward Bond died. And now to find out he was only 57! How awful.
I liked the first years of wagon train best too.
We're very happy to know that you love Wagon Train! Which episode is your favorite?
@@FactsVerse
The Odyssey of Flint McCullough
Duke Shannon was played by Denny Miller.

You're very much welcome! What other types of video would you like to see?
I was lucky enough to see Robert Horton live
Truly, how was Robert Horton live?
I just watched it today I like it better when Ward bond was on there I hate he passed away so young
Coop Smith is my favorite character on “Wagon Train”. I met him in the mid 1970’s in Bakersfield, California.
Glad to hear that you like Coop! How was he personally?
@@FactsVerse … He was nice. He autographed my arm. I had nothing else for him to sign. Should of borrowed paper from someone, but was too excited at the time to think of it. He signed my sister’s black hat though.
I Watch It Everday On ME TV , Years Ago I Watch It Occasionally. Robert Horton Is My Favorite Actor In The Show.
We're glad to know that you never missed an episode. Thank you for sharing a part of your life! What other types of videos would you like to see?
I think Terry Wilson was one of the most handsome men I have ever seen. There was something about his over all look that really attracted me . Just a hunk as far as I am concerned.
Greetings from Spokane Wa! Just watched The Christopher Hale Story today. I loved all the characters & continue to watch all the reruns.
Robert Fuller also replaced Steve McQueen as the character named Vin in the sequel to The Magnificent Seven.
Been watching reruns on INSP TV every day. I always liked Terry Wilson for some reason. And of course, Robert Fuller was so handsome.
They where all great actors Robert fuller was who caught my eye making wagon train more to look forward to watch I was sad the Flint mccullough left but the replacement was great.
My favorite actor was the man who played Charlie wooster
Denny Miller was my client in the late 90s..at Cassell-Levy Talent Agency in Hollywood..At the time..
he was the Gorton Fish Man in TV commercials..he hated having to make appearances at grocery stores..😅
Robert Horton passed a way in 2016
I watched all of the reruns on the Western Channel. It was a great show.
We definitely concur! Which episode appealed to you the most?
Me too.
I love them all but Michael burn and Robert Fuller is my favoriteas a young woman I love watching the old westerns because they're clean and I'm a Christian thank you guys for giving us clean entertainment today because now the entertainment is so unclean love you all God bless
Terry Wilson, my favorite: a no BS, decent, honest man.
Ward Bond was my hero. I loved his gruff exterior and his soft and loving inside! He was fair and cared about everyone! But I love the show and the characters. I was broken hearted when I found out that Ward Bond died so young and sudden!
Robert Horton was my favorite actor. Very talented man with a beautiful voice
My favorite was Robert Horton, hands down, though I basically loved them all. It was a magnificent show, and I still watch the reruns.
I was in love with Robert Horton and Cheyenne Clift walker still watch my old western to this day
All were my favourites. Loved every Western.( Not forgetting Hugh O'Brien)
All of them are special actors in their own right and was the best show to watch through the 60s. And then on reruns😄
It’s amazing to watch Wagon Train these days and to see how humanely they treated the Indian tribes, especially compared with other westerns of the time. Great show!
This was one of my favorite westerns I loved all of these guys and still watch this show everyday on me tv may all the ones who are gone now r.ip
We're happy to know that Wagon Train is one of your favorite Westerns! Which of its cast members appealed to you the most?
Really loved them all. Just love the show.
I loved them all . I still watch them today .
We're happy to know that you love the show. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. If we may ask, which episode did you like the best?
They all were great actors They complimented each other
We strongly agree! Thank you for watching our content. Be on the lookout for our next video!

It's hard to pick a favorite on Wagon Train - they were all so good. I'm still watching it on MeTV in the Seattle area. I was so sorry that Denny Miller died of ALS. My niece died of it also. A terrible disease!
My Favorite Character is Robert Fuller..Jess Harper...Still very much alive.🙂❤
