Scott KILLED this! And can we take a moment to rave about Kev? That complex clapping while beat-boxing! Off the chain! What I’m loving about PTX now is how they’re doing so much motive development in these arrangements. You as a musician have noticed it. For those not aware what that means is where the group takes portions of the song and sing it at the same time as another part of the song. PTX really kills that motive development in “Cologne” - the only track on the “At Home” EP with no video. Pentatonix is absolutely scary on that song! Apparently, Kirstie said in an interview that “Cologne” is such a bop it needs a video which, I think, they’re planning when they can all gather together again. Here’s hoping!
YES! kevin is sooo good in this song and cologne especially! i absolutely love the motive development because it gives it a production like feel and breakdown!
I got the impression that Mitch under the sheet represented a caterpillar in its cocoon, then finally bursting out as the colorful butterfly.

To me this song is a result of a time that you lose someone, and in the beginning you become a ghost of your self (Mitch in the white Shear) but you finally move on, and as you are starting to ask, is it ok to be happy now, and then you finally break through and you allow yourself to be Happy Now, me, myself and I. This is a strong and loving song! I have lost 2 loves through my life and each time I have held on to missing them, and I did not realize I was still holding onto the hurt until this song, and it allowed me to let it go, and start back on my road to being Happy Now. I understand your emotion, I am literally dripping tears as I am typing this, not sure if for the song, your emotion or a combination of both. I have never seen them in concert, but I will one the world rights itself again. Thank you for being with us on the PTX journey. Love and Light to you!
