One of my favorite creams to put underneath my hard holding gels is the TGIN butter cream daily moisturizer. It is extremely moisturizing even under a hard holding gel. Thank you. My belief is that growth comes from how you take care of your hair, not the styles. People can do any style they want but if they are not cleansing, conditioning, gentle detangling, trimming, etc., then they will still not retain length. Just my thoughts. Hi Rae ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ I love your hair and I want definition and volume lol. I have the As I Am double butter cream that I bought in Dec 2022 😮but have not opened it but I only have the Wetline gel that has been opened over a year 😂 but looks and smells good but I may need to purchase a smaller heavy gel since I don’t use that often but I want to try that combo. I need to use up these products and probably need to wash my hair more often to help gel through more products quicker.

You didn't refresh/add moisture during the week? I am also like you, in the beginning of my journey I was all about definition but now I prefer more volume. If my hair looks too "perfect" I will play round with it to add some frizz lol.
Yeah, the Butter Cream is expensive, but you only need a little bit to get what you want from it. I did not have to add any moisture through the week, which surprised me, but I was happy about. I'm like you, if it is too perfect, I like to frizz it out some as well😂 Thanks for tuning in.

I'm new to natural styles, your videos help me travel through the unknown culture of natural hair. I'm 68 and I wore locs since 2012, they grew passed my lower back and my top was thinning fast bc of the weight of my hair. I couldn't find any to cut my locs so I did it my self, that was about a tear ago now. My hair is very uneven now but I'm not concerned with that, I want it to be healthy first bc that's the main thing.
You give great ideas and product advice, it has taken this long just to train my hair to respond correctly to the products and know my hair and what works or doesn't work.

Hi, I'm a new subscriber. ❤I've been binge watching your channel, and I'm loving your content. I'm also learning wash and goes. This will be my first time trying it. My question is do I need an oil when doing a wash and go? 🤔Or only leave in, and choice of gel?
Hi and thanks for subscribing! Using an oil is a personal preference. I prefer not to use oil because I don't think I need it. My motto is less is more. I would say, try it without the oil and see how you like it. If you feel like you need to add an oil for shine or to soften the hold of the gel, then add an oil next time and see if it makes a huge difference. I would advise using a good shampoo to cleanse your hair if you decide to use oils regularly. Hope that helps. Thanks for tuning in💛

Thank you. You can pick up a braid tube/headband at any beauty supply store. I even think that Walmart sells them. Use can even buy a neck gaiter to use as well. Make sure whatever you get is NOT cotton. If you want the original Loc Soc, you can find it here: soclocsoc.com/3-ls-tube but it is more expensive and the other things work just as well.

I vehemently hate As I Am's gels. No hold whatsoever. I almost gave up on the brand because of them. I'll have to try this combo next time I have the coin. I wonder if it'd work with wetline x-treme, as that tends to go with pretty much everything in my stash.
I don't care for As I Am gels either. The only one I like is the smoothing gel and I use it for twist outs or to smooth my hair back. I think the Double Butter Cream would work with Wetline just fine. If you end up trying it, make sure you come back and let us know how it turned out. Thanks for tuning in.
