If that’s the original pressure tank I would be concerned about it’s ability to hold pressure safely given the amount of rust.

@@davidjohngilbert6295 Ok, but did you watch it? He clearly swapped out the tank for another, was not stated if it was new or from another used compressor.
@@steinbauge4591 when I saw the amount of rust on the tank I went to the finish and saw that tank and realised something was not right and went back and watched again, thought it a bit strange that the replacement tank was identical.

Not even going to read all the haters' comments but growing up on the Gulf Coast, I find the knocking off of all that rust very relaxing and comforting. I remember one summer my Dad had me do the same to the mower deck on his Cub Cadet and it was so rewarding when I got it cleaned up. Loved this video.

@@DiGiovanni1111 This is a safety concern. The last thing you want is for one of these things to explode with 110PSI in it. Replacing it was smart.

Я так же как-то восстановил свой сломанный телевизор. Купил в магазине новый точно такой же, а пульт от старого отмыл и снова использовал.

Интересно какой "одаренный" довел инструмент до такого состояния? Автор молодец, нельзя такой инструмент выкидывать, никак нельзя. Переживал чтоб бочку не начал восстанавливать, когда выкинул - аж легче стало :D

After he came out with the "new" tank I started to wonder if that was how he did the whole restoration. Take about one that is a wreck, clean up the pieces a little, then pull out all new stuff! 😂

I was a bit worried there until the pressure tank went back to continue rusting. It looked like it had been resting in the ocean for a while. Nice job on the restore and rebuild.

For all those asking why did he not restore the tank it is very simple,compressors work by building pressure inside the tank,having even partially rusted tank would make it a time bomb just waiting to explode.
At least he did'nt find an Iphone inside

This one's so satisfying. I'm a fan of air compressors because I'm a geek and also a DIYer/hoping to be a future mechanic. Funny this was on my feed today because my gaskets for my compressor are supposed to get delivered today.
Stay away from automotive theres no money in it. Go the diesel mechanic route. You won't regret it trust me.

Как то странно, ресивер прогнил насквозь, при том что сделан он не из тонкого металла, а вот все болты не сгнили, отвернулись легко, даже контакты не отгнили, вал двигателя целый...это гонево по ходу.
В бочке с перекисью побывал
Лол, а ты думал они реально что-то умеют делать ? Они тупо пачкают прибор, а потом моют и вуаля реставрация, на самом деле просто помыв прибор ничего по сути не изменится
@@forestar5939 нет, если помыть то меняется многое. В т.ч. забитый может заработать, а тот который недавно работал можно херовой чисткой угробить. И это касается большого множества приборов и приспособлений
@@Y3ypn-am0p17 чел, я занимаюсь ремонтом приборов, там нульзя тупо щеткой и мылом починить, все время что-то будет сломано или сгоревшим. Конкретно в этом видео чел тупо помыл внешку, внутри почти не трогая, потому что это был и без того исправный прибор который засрали. Бывают случаи когда нужно просто почистить, но очень редко. Реально убитые приборы могут валяться на металлоломе, попробуите их отреставрировать

Muy bien la paciencia y el empeño en restaurar tan compleja situación del estado de máquina.
Solo comentar de forma constructiva que al momento ensamblar el cilindro en pistón no se debe de colocar aceite a la camisa del cilindro o sino se pierde el sentido de ponerle anillos a los pistones, solo el primer ánimo de abajo arriba es el encargado de lubricar en el recorrido de forma muy leve, ya que si queda con tanto aceite en la superficie del pistón, este al comprimir comenzará a carbonizado el aceite alojado en la parte superior dañando las placa valvular y la válvula de retención del estanque. Está carbonización se produce por la temperatura que se genera al comprimir y gas..en este caso aire. Solo eso como consejo para que el trabajo de restauración completo le perdure y quedé como una reliquia.

Oh come on, how had he should do that? I think it was fine how he made it. This Tank has to hold much Air Pressure, when it explodes its really Dangerous. You should not restore in such bad Conditions😐

Well I thought that was an absolutely fantastic restoration. He saved what he could and replaced what was Unsalvageable. Obviously the main tank was all ways going to be replaced but it was fun watching how much rust had built up. Personally I thought the bit when he shoved the two wires in the live plug socket was hilarious. WELL DONE I THROUGHLY ENJOYED WATCHING THIS.

That is, at least, a legitimately left-outside rusty piece of junk, unlike some of these kind of channels where they intentionally bury or muddy up something first
