My god. That in car audio. It must have been insane in person. This is why it’s hard for me to like modern motorsports. Some cars today might sound ok but nothing makes you feel the things this makes you feel. I’m trying to imagine Paul Newman racing one of these at Daytona.
I held my breath with that little oops at 6:11. 😱 Nice catch... I likely still have the Road & Track magazine with the road test of this car from back when it first hit the streets. I remember thinking about how great it was that this car could, by finesse, be one of the fastest and best performing cars of the day. One of my few all time favorite cars. Thanks for sharing.
What a beautiful shape and sound! Many of these cars in the USA lost their roofs during the 80s partially due to the TV show Miami Vice. The one on the program was a rebodied Corvette. I hate that many got butchered.
This was the Ferrari 365 Daytona GTB4 to win the infamous Tour De France driven by the French racing driver Jean-Claude Andruet with copilot Michèle Espinosi-Petit in 1986! The 365 Daytona GTB4 featured the 275's Colombo V12 with a larger cylinder bore for 4,390 cc! The Daytona was succeeded by the mid-engined 365 GT4 Berlinetta Boxer in 1973. As an aside, the most successful winning racing driver was Dutchman Hans Hugenholtz, who won the competition class of the Patrick Peter organised event an incredible SEVEN times (1993-1999-2000-2001-2004-2006-2007), more than any other entrant, with a Shelby Mustang 350GT, Ford GT40 (twice) and a Lotus Elan (3 times), and once in another Ferrari 365 Daytona GTB4!
DAMN ! That sound . A car to be Driven , for the Sheer Fucking JOY of Doing so . The Daytona's are One of the Most Beautiful cars every built . I consider them the Equal of the E-Type overall . But SOMEWHAT better performer .
Was the driver under instruction ? I see the passenger giving hand signals ,especially after he rolled through turns with his foot on the clutch. I always wanted but even in the 80's when the values were really low i couldn't afford one and unrestored ones were pretty sad. Although i went to someones house 30 years ago to collect some stuff i had bought, and they had a spider up on blocks in the garage.....!
I go by heart, but I think it was the first time that the owner drove the Daytona on this track, and he indeed received some information from the co-driver.
On this, you are right; a car like this, especially for its economic value, would need a lot of respect, especially on the track where a little carelessness can create severe damage.
Drive the thing like it's a cheap fiat, the driver should never had the chance. The horse should kick back because of the bad handeling. He obviously doesn't understand italian.
We must remember that a lot of drivers are not all professional pilots, but there are also simple gentleman drivers. We must never be too strict or fussy, we must appreciate, like this owner, who has decided to use such an expensive and important car during a typical track day.
@@Italiansupercarvideo The car is going much faster than the driver and this is a receipt for an accident. I think there is no excuse for not taking some coaching before driving such a car. By the way, I do appreciate that he actually drives it and shows it to the world, instead of kept it in a garage.

Next time F40 LM or rare Aston DBR1 1956.
Pure symphony!!!! The car represents the essence of the true and original Ferrari!

You just made my day! Daytona onboard AND a Gr 4 !!!! thanks for the symphony!

Unfortunately, some original Daytona Coupés have suffered the same fate even in Europe.
That's music to my ears.
PERFECTO!! Thank you for sharing this video.

Una vera muscle car italiana💪💪💪
He looks a little bit on the Alfa Romeo Stradala 33 V-8 , very nice car.
I have die-cast model of this car, but mine has rear spoiler at the end of the trunk
_Che bella._ However, rear-view mirrors on the passenger side door and in the interior might come in kinda handy.
Nobody talkes about the fantastic gearbox?

Spectacular machine, but now I'm wondering - Is this very car ex-Paul Newman? He owned one for sure and given the rarity it remains a valid question..
No, I don't think it's Paul Newman's Daytona, but the question is correct.

A proper Ferrari, V12 and with a real manual gearbox. Exactly how they should be, no stupid flappy paddles in sight.
Fully agree. Those very rare modern manual Ferraris have very high and highly sought after prices; there will be a reason...
@@Italiansupercarvideo Totally agree 👍
When race cars were beautiful.
Mazda mx5 and Honda Jazz keeping it honest !!
6:09 scary moment there
Yeah 💪👍
How about some info commentary! The cars are beautiful, the lack of educational information wastfull.
I wrote some information in the notes below the video.
Quando la Ferrari era Ferrari
Hells&toes, please, it's not a civil car... It's a Daytona GTB4... 👍💪‼️💯🔥🏁🏎️🤓🇫🇷
😂👍
isnt this build in 1968? also the name Daytona was added as a tribute
Yes, what you wrote is correct, but it's considered an icon of the 70s, especially in the typical style of that decade.
@@Italiansupercarvideo ty for your info :)

what a car……!!! driving is place to improve…..
Is that some kind of Nissan?
A pearl amongst swine
hahaha LOL, come darti torto...😂
Horrible that modern cars go passed it like it's an ox wagon.

Not the most beautiful model but in competition trim and with
4 cams and 6 2bbl's oh dear, I guess I wouldn't toss her
out of bed after all...
Little power it 430hp.
Not a very experienced driver....Keeps his hand on shifter between shifts....No double clutch...Probably learning....
Lentissima in ripresa...!
This guy doesn't deserve this car...He should learn how reduce gears...please give him a playstation with an autmatic gearbox...
the problem is the pilot ...😊
