What are your theories? Am I overhyped or is this league going to be big? :O

Rework of the content outside of the Atlas?
We are finally gonna get a fishing overhaul and buff
might be wrong ofc, but I'm pretty sure "boat league" comes from one of the heist teasers for the rogue harbor
heist, expedition and maybe lake of kalandra rework? now boating in the lake? Jack Sparrow will sure be there 🤣
they haven't even announced the league yet. Chill, dude.
Settlers: we need to settle for 4 more months of necropolis.
Pls no
hell nah
@@Lolcoholsettlers want to corpse craft for another 4 months
Yuck! Necropolis is ass
I would take another month of necropolis... I want to play Last Epoch properly. Also next league is either 2ish months or 5ish months, unless they change PoE 2 release date.
For the Cowgirl!
Damn you sniped it 😂
😂😂😂
Goddam right
bro has 8 shirts on
It’s winter in Australia
Turn the heat up he ain't outside.

expectation: boat league
reality: repurposed ship from Act 10 town just to show two old characters meet
Settlers of Catan boardgame name, link to a town in PoE2... I think this isn't a boat league, it's a town manager where we're growing a town that will be seen in PoE2.
That's what it looked like to me
Could be both though. lol
@@Nimroc Could be! But I can't imagine them doing something with such a huge scope, and doing it well. I'm trying to have realistic expectations
@@cabbagepotato2421 god I wish for a town manager... bring the dude 40 regals to unlock next tier of items buyable from him etc... i might consider ssf if it's indeed a manager
@@cabbagepotato2421 same haha. my first thought was 'cool i like city/settlement builder games' and my 2nd thought was 'hmm can they really put together a good city builder inside poe?'
Betrayal was technically a combo of Masters' League
I'm very confident that GGG gave us Necropolis to lower our expectations so this latest league to be a blast.
If lowering expectations was their goal, they succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. Necro league will go down in history as the worst ever, even surpassing Kalandra
@@steampoweredgamer1080 Oh come on Kalandra wasn't THAT bad.
I'm thinking a couple different things. Maybe a city planner/garrison mode where we manage resources and NPCs to complete all sorts of tasks.
Also, while I doubt they would scrap or overhaul Heist/Expedition, maybe they do, and this is essentially a new endgame mode similar to Delve or Heist that consolidates Heist/Expedition rewards into a new exploration-based endgame mode. Or maybe it's some combination of both.
Don't forget Isla sitting on the pier as well!
in scourge the last one to die is alva from the future
I just want to play some PoE - skipped Necopolis after barely touching it. And then they gave it another month...
Lmao missed out bro made more currency and a better build this league than in affliction
@@yeahright420Is that common? Or just you?
City builder league! That's why there was a farm in the background.
I lost my crystal ball a long time ago but it can't be as bad as Necropolis....knock on wood.
Boat league and fishing league in one. I mean this should be the last league before PoE 2 beta so you figured they would give the community the meme league they have always wanted.
Settlers probably means this is gonna be a city builder. Its gonna be like expedition where you collect artifacts to upgrade your city and they will give you some advantages such as either player power; rarity/quantity;or crafting methods or other things..
Hope Weylam and Lily will be in this adventure too
What I discussed with a friend is, to take power out of the skill tree and ascendancy’s and put it into skills.
That should if done correctly result in way more skills beeing viable, instead of everyone playing the most broken ascendancy’s for the current league
That's the devs want though. Introducing a gem / unique only to nerf it to the ground at the end of the league. Rinse and repeat.
Necropolis was so bad i only spent a week on the game, i really hope this league is good
It might be the last league before PoE2 early access, however I'm not expecting PoE2 early access to have that much content. We still don't know anything about ascendancy classes (unless you count 2019 exilecon) or "end game". Either way nice to have something new once again!
keen eyes, thanks for sharing that discovery!
there was also the engeneering lady behind faustus.
one thing that is worht noting, we have very rarely not 1 word league names. Only Lake of Kalandra and Forbidden Sanctum that break the one Word League Mechanic.
Settlers of Kalgur sounds more similar to an Expansion Name then to a League Name
That too! When Lake of Kalanda came out, I had the same theory but couldn't have been more wrong. Let's hope this is a true expansion!
@@Lolcohol the combination of the specific wording the naming and timing, gives hopes.
@@CyclonDefinitiv Hmm that kinda changed after lake of kalandra, we had LOK, sanctum, TOTA now this, so hard to say definitively since it has occured so many times. Also with the teaser of necropolis they teased lycia and catarina at the end, now we know it was a refernce to t17s but catarina also doubled as indication of the syndicate change up, could we maybe be seeing that with heist?
@@KonjouS i forgot trial of the ancestor, nvm my tinfoil hat theory =(
That boat looks definitely like the one in the "Kingsmarch" town in POE2 !! Source : youtube video "Exilecon 2023 - Livestream of Path of Exile by Mathil" at 3:20min.
My 2cents: this preview could be made on a new 3D rendering engine for in-game cinematics (for POE2)
Another good video Lolcohol. Honestly after my extreme disappointment with Necropolis (but happy with the base game), it is probably best for me to not get my hopes up at all and just wait and see. But, it has been my impression as a long-term player that the terrible leagues are often followed with good ones...and I'm going with that.
Get hyped - you're right about the pattern that the last couple of years is that we get one bad league then one good one, so by that logic, 3.25 has to be a banger :D
I honestly think you are reading too much into the wording. I hope I'm wrong though and we get all the exciting stuff.
The overall sounds and scenery totally have Anno vibes imo
I guess it will be something like turn based strategy where you should build and defend a city (something alike to AoE)
Ooh RTS PoE? Maybe like Warcraft 3?
@@Lolcohol it would make sense to be something like that :V
There were at least 2 doors in the trailer. Heist doors confirmed.
if i'm not mistaken previously when we had the actual expansions we would knew like months in advance with the roadmaps. i think this is just a regular league and IF there is an expansion in the works it will be later this year
Settling means leaving behind the old, and experiencing the new.
→ Once you have full Atlas competion you can set sail and leave Wraeclast and sail to Kalguuran. There nothing works like you know. For example, you could make it that support gems are just modifications to your active gem. Or that our characters had combat training on the ship and now they have more maneuvers like combat rolling. Maybe metals become more important in that world, so that merchants trade with Gold (again). Who knows! :D
This is the kind of attitude I like :D I can't wait to find out
is this the setting up of new land, POE 1 signs off when you discover the POE 2 landscape in the endgame
About expansion, sorry, but you're wrong. GGG used wording "expansion" for couple times with previous announcements. Look at 3.24 announcement at least. So I'd not expected massive changes.
Let me hope. Let me cope. :') It was more about the separation of the words that looked different, but yeah, it's a long shot
@@Lolcohol The separation was more or less the same for 3.24, just the word "expansion" was written at the end of the sentence instead of in the middle. lol
@@Nimroc Yup, looks pretty much like the same wording to me.
3.24: "The Path of Exile 1 section will cover the new challenge league and other content in our March expansion."
3.25: "During the livestream you'll learn all about the 3.25 expansion for Path of Exile, its challenge league and other content."
@@skullcrabsterI feel they have gotten a bit loose with when the use expansion
I don't really expect it to be a high scope league but I hope to be wrong. We haven't had one of those since Heist, which had a full fledged cast of NPCs with their interactions, specific items and progression, a new endgame system with it's own rewards and playstyle, experimental bases, replica uniques, alt quality gems, two new currencies that you can use to enhance your endgame weapon/armor, etc... Regardless how people feel about heist (some like it others hate it completely) the scope of that league was huge.
I would like to see something like that again but I don't expect it to happen just as they are pushing to get poe2 into beta. So I just hope they make a solid league mechanic that can go core. Especially on the mapping side, regardless of how good the reworks to specific mechanics are and how many options to specialize in said mechanics they added via scarabs + passive tree, ever since expedition we had nothing new going core. Just a rework to rare modifiers and the replacement of metamorph with ultimatum. We haven't even had a rework to the progression system since 3.17. It's still voidstones and altars. Maybe it's just me but overall the game feels kind of stale at this point.
Here's hoping for a banger.
Maybe we will settle on a new island, explore it and bring back resources to build the settlement with?
So we farm expedition loot and logbooks in heist now
It would be interesting to have an act skipping' new mechanic...
Im coping so hard
Now we are waiting for some interesting league start videos, go go go :)
Dude 2 questions about poe 2... Do u think they will add kbm to console support and if they will launch at same time for pc n console :) thanks
Not totally sure but I imagine that if it is possible to add KBM and Mouse to a Console, they'd work to add that. As for the launch times - my guess is that the early access Beta will go live for PC first, but when the full launch happens, it will be on both console and PC. I can't remember exactly where I saw it but they do want to integrate the console and PC communities together and have crossplay and simultaneous launches in future.
Scourge had alternate universe Alva
yoo does that mean i get to finaly get to see the one piece treasure at the end?
the only guarantee is no buff for melee!
Reskinned Necropolis where instead of burring bodies, you board crew members onto your ship and they sail out to craft items!!! INSANE
And to think no matter how much hype it generated, the league (like every other) will be abandoned in 2 weeks time. 1st week is always the beta week, followed is where anything strong+profitable gets nerfed.
I hope this is the finish of the Epilogue and the stream into POE2
Betrayal also had a return of cast members
Settlements? God no.... Preston Garvey PTSD: Another settlement needs your help.
Let me mark it on your map
They are bridging the lore gap to PoE2 I think, we are going to help them build Kingsmarch. I just hope the mechanic is fun, that's such a massive draw for a lot of people. Also I think those NPCs suggest Heist and Expidition rework/removal
I think this gonna be a "trade" resource managing league. I think it's gonna feel like expedition
This is the first time in years that path of exiles launch is on a Friday that I don't work!!! Next Tuesday is last epoch and then a few weeks later we get this...what a time to be in ARPG fan! Might not be a popular opinion but I'm kind of hoping it is some type of POE city builder. Can't wait to be sitting on the beach at launch for the first time in forever!
I have a feeling this really needs to knock it out of the park. Been a long time since we had a crazy good league if youre like me and didnt like the currency fountain that was Affliction.
Kinda saw the return of Zana when they did the map changes
Last time we the saw the kalgurans they brought us massive nerf fest circa 3.15 😅
Let's hope they do it again so we finally get a new meta :'(
I would really love the return of the graveyard, with a lot less corpses tho. but I know it's not going to be a thing.
Cant wait, heist and expedition has been my fav league throughout all the years
I‘m really hoping that this won’t be a Kalandra situation where GGG set big expectations- then with a name, this time with a boat - only to come out with a lackluster league. With the inclusion of Faustus I‘m hoping for good worldbuilding where everything fits together more than it has lately. The „Settlers of“ may be a hint at Grand-Strategy-esque mechanics which I would love. Ever since the War for the Atlas was over mapping feels a bit impersonal for me. The Sirus storyline was alright if not as compelling, Maven was okay but Eater and Exarch are just big bads defined much more by their drops than any kind of personality.
Will this be a mapping overhaul and if so, a good one? Maybe I shouldn’t set myself up for disappointment. At least for now all available resources are likely pooled into PoE2 development which is under much more pressure to deliver.
Placing my money on Path Of Exile meets Sim City.
Windmills Providing rarity, housing providing item quant, farms / stables increasing other stats (%damage and %ms), watchtowers increasing the amount you can scroll out or just light radius because devs are lazy.
What about Catarina and the other masters? They returned as well.
Oh yeah true :o and that league was epic. Good call!
I think it will be like a Trade Routes league
I kind of don't think it will be the last league before PoE2, mostly because I don't think they would want the launch of the 3.26 to be too overshadowed by the PoE2 beta/early access, so I would assume they would want to have 3.26 out maybe a month earlier if possible, or at the very least a couple weeks.
Also Isla is in the teaser as well next to Faustus.
I don't love Heist (because it's Heist) nor Expedition (solely because of Unearthed Soldiers) so it's not very exciting to me, even though the gameplay will obviously be different from those two. I do wonder if the characters will be able to work two jobs or if something will happen to the leagues they're part of?
The thing I am hopeful about is an Affliction and Ritual merge, though I am not expecting it, since Mark didn't sound like they were completely on board with the idea and considering how long they sat on Ultimatum.
Settlers of Catan POE style?
We saw it before
Syndicate leuge
would be great to find map pieces that go to god tier hidden treasures.... pirates ahoy!!
Mao Kun already exists lmao :)
If it is a town building league I hope it will be no micromanagement shitfest like OG harvest
oh you know its going to be... and it will take two weeks to get the bugs out lol
maybe end game overhaul for maps? been awhile since we saw an update to that
Water maps
Alva kind of was in Scourge right ? Not like it was a true crossover though
The Final League?
They’ve been using expansion since 3.10 iirc. Could be interesting.
They have! You can see it in the little screenshots I added, buuuuuuuut...It wasn't separated in the same way! Join the hopium train with me, Tri
@@Lolcohol HAHAHAHAHAHA i made this comment as i watching, you and guitar may be onto something.
Have wood, need sheep.
you Australian?
@@steampoweredgamer1080🤣
It just sounds like they are going to start hybridizing content to cut down on clutter.
I think that would be a great idea. Maybe expand some of the existing content. The atlas is already packed, Pathing might get a bit intense with even more leagues possibly going core.
boat skill tree! We dont have enough skill tress!
i hope it will include a lot of fishing baits xD
Well, what happened after Kalandra, may be sailing again to that rotten island? ;-) Big is not so much expected from my side. PoE-2 might even absorb more GGG-resources. Solid and plz-plz-plz not mandatory map-dialogue anymore.
Pumping divines into building crafting, lets gooo.
what we need is to not have daily nerfs because they overtune things then all the people with jobs miss out
in this league we gonna remove the rogue harbor and now u can open ur contracts from Dannig 😅
July 26th... Hopefully my new pc is built before then, I'm really dying to play PoE since my old pc could no longer play the game ever since 2021.
It will be the exact weekend my girl is moving with me, sadgeee aaaa
The hatred for Necropolis is fairly aggravating,
Yes the league was bonkers
Yes the crafting was stronger than harvest
Yes the league me hanic made maps slightly harder
Yes items were dirt cheap
But for a normal play, who strives to get maybe one or two characters to endgame, Necropolis was amazing, and it also was a glaring showcase of how endgame is gated and very meta centric, not necessarily due to streamer/pob content shifting player influence, but also how narrow defenses are. Adorned/LC/ToH/MB etc...
This seems to be the top end for 90% of builds, and if you are pushing 5+ characters to Boss/t17 territory it makes sense why some players got burned out for that exact same grind, but Please for all of you players who are at that level, toss a coin to your casual and understand, yhis league was an amazing powerspike to get to a point thry never had.
Well, with all the backlog of leagues that went core or not, and thus content, they have piled up over the years, it is kinda crazy to think they never rehashed, built upon or mixed them.
It mush be by choice, despite all the excuses they threw at us over the years without ever adressing it. They did reuse boss fights for the t17s that come from different past leagues. So...When there's a will, there's a way.
I'm hyped for 3.25. Taking a huge hit of copium and hoping for: glad or assassin rework, melee changes, make chaos dot great again?, new trans gems, etc. Please GGG
Great Video! ( I only saw 3 seconds of it so far )
Off topic I think they might do something Like mixing Heist and expedition with sailing. Pirating? Traveling from island to island for some loot? New cool unique items? Digging in sand with explosives that spawn in monsters? A lot of cool ideas could spark from this.
That could be fun :o I really hope they have a ton of a cool new systems for this one
If they don’t fix T17s and the issue with Scarabs mechanic won’t matter to much.
I'm sure it's their top priority but yeah those weren't a good change at all
@@Lolcohol I really hope so. I hated how much I disliked the game this past league.
i hope they EXPAND on meele builds. want some nice screenclear with attacks.
We definitely do not have boat league, don't get baited 😂
Boats + Heist = Pirates?
waves of mobs ? Boat - > waves?
FISHING CONFIRMED!!!!!!
Betrayal league returned all the Masters.
Oh wow, that wording actually makes sense, I checked all recent releases and you're right.
I do hope its an actual expansion + league. #COPIUM
the village appears to be overtaken by sheep
it will be minigame league.
Before POE 2, we had 4 leagues per year and big expansions. Now we have 3 really mid quality leagues per year with no expansions. I literally hate POE 2 at this point.
"mid quality" is being extremely generous. This league was rip off harvest+stronger maps. Scarabs being changed from sextants imo added nothing to the game that wasn't already there. And IMO makes alc n go even worse, scarabs feel required where-as sextants felt like more of an option.
Final... Before poe2. 🤷♂️ doubtful
Big fishing league bro
You know it
It's so much fun with the teasers and stuff GGG puts out, everyone examining every frame, every word, trying to find out something, or come up with something based on a detail.
PoE players are the best.
You're the best
more like PoE players have no life... lol!
dannig slimmed down huh
I'll be back
not final, POE will exist and function
Aw mannnn was going to skip this next league but it looks so interstinggg!!
@@netta7563 Settlers of Cowgirl does sound very promising!
Heist and expedition dead next league?
They've used "expansion" for every league for a long time.
Yeah but they said they'd reveal the expansion and the challenge league. Let me hope 🫣
