Scott Does interviews like a fan it's very genuine
He’s one word the man
Hey Scott! I hope you read this comment. Guys from Corridor Crew have actually put a request your presence for their Stuntmen React series. Kindly consider man!
Yes you can clearly see that Scott have a great respect for these actors he interviews since he grew up watching them whether it was in the 80’s and 90’s. Thats what makes these interviews so great. Its genuine and comes off very laid back and with great mutual respect and understanding.
I agree 100%.
i had these 2 guys confused for each other repeatedly.
its cool to see them together.
The only man to take on Neo, Morpheus, Trinity, Lorraine, and John Wick.
and Scorpion Sub-Zero Noob Saibot Reptile
And Bill Hader.
and Barry!
And banged Bloodrayne chick
Salmaan Zhang in the series or movie
Scott Adkins needs a lot of credit. To bring together so many action stars, but not only have a genuine interest in their careers, he deserves a lot of respect. Genuinely interesting interviews, and so addictive.
Daniel Bernhardt always had the stamp of a perfect James Bond...
That's exactly what I just thought. He'd be a great bond. Flexible !!
Looks a lot like Connery
This looks like Scott Adkins interviewing himself 15 years later.
Mr Bernhardt looks like Don Draper from Madmen.
Yas little like Dan
He gave John Wick a hard time in the first installment.
Yeah. Daniel was a better skills in that fight with Keanu.
Whoever thought killing Kirill off in the first film was a good idea should be fired.
Literally, load 'em into a cannon and fire 'em.
Yeah, John was getting his ass handed back to him in the club
@@MatadorShifter it's because John Wick was shot and already suffering from a wound so Kirill already had an advantage over him.
*ALL of you are WELCOME*
Daniel is the reason, there IS a John Wick.
This guy was really underrated. He had some of the best technique in hollywood.
I agree 💯!!! He's an amazing fighter and such handsome !!!
This actually looks like Son and Dad.
Sounds like a 80s/90s martial arts movie then :) ... one will die of course.
Theyd make a mean batman and robin... just sayin
i confused them for each other a lot
I would say big and little brother
They're actually 11 years apart lol
These interviews are amazing to listen to. I grew up watching these martial arts actors.
me too!
I didn't know I needed those interviews, but honestly it brings back so much memories and I love it.
I'm still in shock myself.
I found the podcast last night.
This is the fourth one I'm listening to now.
you feel like in a good company
It’s also bring the enjoyment to watch
You and Daniel need to do a movie together
John Wick 4)
@@Andrew-79 No like different movie.
"I'm Batman"
"No, I'm Batman"
I hope Daniel recommends Scott to Keanu since they are good friends would love to see Scott in Keanu Reeves movies
@@BoONeo Scott needs to be in John Wick 4
I remember seeing Daniel as the lead character, Siro from Mortal Kombat Conquest! Underrated actor. I always thought he would be the perfect Bond.
Agree 💯😍!!!
I swear I laughed so much when Daniel was describing the falling scene. Daniel looks so funny, this guy is definitely great to have a beer with. Scott looks like a really nice dude too. I would love to see them both in a movie.
What a gentleman Daniel Bernhardt is . This is one of my favorite interviews. Although the interview was about Mr. Bernhardt , the interviewed was very kind to keep the chat on and asking about Mr Adkins too (this is one thing we want too ) and keeping the conversation very interesting in a very humble way to tell us all his accomplishment. If we already liked this actor and martial artist, now we like him even more. Thanks, Mr. Adkins for bringing us this interview.
Aw man!! That guy is brilliant!! I’ve seen him in so many action movies. His martial arts is really great!
Lol
I saw him first in blood sport... after a few years he is villain.. in matrix of keanu reeves, john wick 2014... i ddnt recognized him as a lead star but a villain side kick... i wanted to see him in his own movie... hope so
@@LeonaSim Yea, same, all the movies you've mentioned. Man, there's certain people like him, including dudes like Scott Adkins, Mark Ducascos....
Those dudes have such a graceful way of movement. I've been a martial artist my whole life, but I could never move like that. I think if you've got long legs, it lends to the graceful movements.
@Pierre Valer Yyyessss, I wish they could make that happen.
@Pierre Valer I must say, John Wick 3 was my favourite of all the episodes. It was so damn good! And Helle Berry's attack dogs. It was chilling to watch these functional predators!
Mark Ducascos was also just brilliant! I just LOVE how he was so mesmirised by John Wick, and was just in awe of his skills, and always looked undisappointed all the time. So good!
"We don't talk about Bloodsport 4". I laughed loud when he said that, hahaha. And I totally agree!
Scott we would like to see interview with Jean Claude Van Damme..
Daniel's entry breaking the door fighting Neo in the Matrix was really cool!!
van damme , dacascos , norris, get as many people as you can on this show please !
It's a nice little show to watch during this quarantine thank you Scott Adkins big huge fan
Chuck Norris is a good one.
Super
@@johnhendricks8140 Chuck is the best martial artist in cinema. Michael Jai White said that Chuck is a true martial artist, not just an actor.
Mark Dacascos 😀👍
One of my most embarrassing childhood memories involved Daniel Bernhardt and my best friends goofy father. The production of Bloodsport 3 took place in the small town of Kandy in Sri Lanka. On a family day out, we attended a hotel where some of the cast and crew were staying. Me and my best mate LOVED all things martial arts, so, to see "the fighters" of this movie (the sequel to our favourite film of all time!!), chilling and playfighting by the pool WAS A TRIP... We were naturally too shy and reverently starstruck to say anything to them. Lo and behold, my friends dad singles out Danial Bernhardt, corners him by the tiki hut bar and chews his ear out for at least 15 minutes with some of the most excruciatingly dull banter you can imagine. Daniel is being courteous and respectful, but clearly pained by the tepidity of the chat. Eventually, my best friend's dad appears perplexed...looking Daniel dead in the eye..asks him "Sorry, are you not David Van Dan Lee?" ( an idiosyncratic mental fusion of Jean Claude Van Damme, David Bradley and Brandon Lee).... self concludes Daniel isnt who he thought he was....and walks off without a word. Daniel looks at me and my friend, with a "well, I'm sorry you have to deal with that" kind of expression, nods, excuses himself and leaves. Fucking mortified.
Me and my pal loved him in Mortal Kombat Conquest as Siro. Perfect actor and Martial Artist.
He was so scary in John Wick Part 1!
Daniel seems like a nice guy.
He really is! He was one of my instructors at a Tae Kwon do studio in los Angeles called chos tae kwon do. He was so nice and genuine
Daniel Bernhardt seem to be a very down to earth and nice guy.
When everyone was watching smallville back in 98 I was watching Mortal Kombat Conquest and I was so sad as a kid when I realised no more new episodes would air on Sky One so long ago.
Smallville came out in 2001
In the first frame, it appears as if Scott is talking to his older version, may be 15 years from now. The facial structure, the hair do, the smile... Strikingly similar :-)
Scott and Daniel look like brothers they both are guys who love to watch martial arts action movies and are martial artists too. Daniel is an awesome martial arts actor gifter, physicality, looks and incredibly humble after all this time in film hes a fan and you can hear it when he talks about Van Damme, Keanu, Fishburne, Charlize, Statham the guy admires and respects all their success hes embraced what he loves about film all the action the punches, kicks , body slams, chokes he was a model and now he gets his hands and feet dirty in bone crunching stunts ..Respect to Daniel Bernhardt 100% he and Scott should make a movie together.
Daniel is great to watch. When people see him in Jesse V Johnson’s new WWII movie they will blown away by his performance!
I've been a fan of Daniel since he did the Mortal Kombat series. I still rewatch it regularly, and he's a major highlight of the show. I'm so glad that he's had a successful career in Hollywood, on and off screen. What a great, talented person!
He was Ciro right?
@@manuelhernandez2017 Siro, but yes, you are correct. Always a pleasure to watch.
He's very underrated and it's sad
Daniel Bernhardt was second Van Damme in the 90's
Yes he followed him on Bloodsport
I like Daniel more than Van dam he been in great movies like mstk3 future wars.
He's not underrated. He's a great stuntman and supporting actor. That's what he does and he's good at it.
He was wasted horribly in the Scorpion King. He’s the lead henchmen who just gets stabbed by the bad boss just because he seems intimidated by the good guy.
Gonna be another good one. Adkins is really great interviewing people. I like it how they discuss the fight/action scenes in details along with how difficult it is to be an action star, we should have Oscars for action stars as well. We need Chuck Norris, Van Damme, Steven Seagal, Mark Dacascos, Michael Dudikoff, Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, Jet Li, Jeff Speakman, Lorenzo Lamas, Sammo Hung, Gary Daniels, Benny Jet, Mike Tyson, Jackie Chan, Yuen Bao, Chow Yun Fat...next!!! Did I forget someone???
I'd love him to interview Cynthia Rothrock.
Tom Cruise, Arnold, Stallone, Jason Statham, Dan Inosanto, Jeff Imada, James Cameron, Isaac Florentine, John Woo, Taylor Lautner*, David Bradley, Lateef Crowder, Mel Gibson, Chad Stahelski (john wick, bloodsport, the matrix),lee jeong beom (the man from nowhere, jo pil ho, no tears for the dead director)
Don't forget Wesley Snipes, Dolph Lundgren, Matthias Hues, Michelle Yeoh, Zhang Ziyi, Karen Shepard, Ernie Reyes Jr., Tim Man and Alain Moussi. Don't bother with Seagal. His ego will be insufferable.
That is something Van Damme is trying to do. He's wants to start a show that is just recognizing and awarding action stars and the movies they do.
you left wu Jing, and moreover how could you forget one of the young rising star -iko uwais
First interview I've watched in a very long time. Daniel was charismatic and a wonderful guest. You two simply have to work together.
I like Daniel since the Mortal Kombat TV show and i was so excited back in the day when i saw him in the Matrix Reload and recently in John Wick and Atomic Blonde. Good to see him still kicking around :)
Oh nice, he was also an agent in the Matrix sequel.
TheN0odles actually he played Agent Johnson in The Matrix Reloaded.
@@emilio2647 Yes, correct!
Daniel Bernhardt is one of those underrated actor/ martial artist that keeps producing great work.
Daniel look so fit even now and he should be in his 50s. Amazing physique, great actor and actor.
Daniel seems really genuine. This was really great to watch.
He starred in the bloodsport sequels and he was one of the agents in matrix reloaded.
reunited with the matrix in john wick 1 (keanu reeves and chad stahelski)...he fought chad stahelski in one of the bloodsport movies...that's where keanu gets his martial arts chops...hi-yah!!!
@@pocketchange6010 The sequels were actually pretty good, excluding part 4.
He was also in John Wick, Atomic Blonde and Altered Carbon. Fun fact: In all three he is always one of the few competent "bad guys" who actually manage to kick the crap out of the main hero in their first fight. :D
@@alexandervladimirov9874 Spot on! 2 and 3 were not bad at all. 4...ouch so painful.
He was also briefly in Altered Carbon and he was in the Mortal Kombat Konquest series back in the 90s
I feel like Equilibrium introduced “Gun Fu” but John Wick took it to an entirely different level.
Didn't they call it gun kata though?
Actually in the film history, ''Gun Fu'' was already introduced in the 80s Hong Kong Movies. Especially by John Woo in his heroic bloodshed movies.
Also Jackie Chan showed it a lot in the 80s and beginning 90s.
@@845H1R yeah they did
Watch John Woo The Killer (1989 movie)
Hard Boiled (1992)
Bullet in the Head (1990)
for Gun Fu movies
And in the USA John Woo already did it in :
Face Off
Mission Impossible 2
@@THEREALZENFORCE ...and ''Hard Target'' (1993)
His first american film.
first of all: Thanks for this wonderful series, Scott.
second of all: PLEASE have Marc Dacascos here. He did such amazing stuff.
Didn't he already do mark?
This segment is so underrated it hurts.
#lovefromBrazil
Real fans do appreciate and that's all matters.
@@tilakranafromharyana agreed...
Yeees Daniel! I love him since Bloodsport2
That was a great interview with Daniel Bernhardt. He did a lot of cool movies. Really liked his work in John Wick and Atomic Blonde. Do us a favor and bring Thomas Ian Griffith to your show please. Thanks a lot Mr. Adkins!
WITHOUT Daniel's Bloodsport movies = John Wick would never ever ever exist
Bernhardt was the best Jcvd clone in the mid 90's. It was pretty cool seeing him in the Matrix Reloaded.
..he lacked Van Dammes on screen charisma
@@robd1329 - Not true
Daniel just got low budget movies threw at him. But between the 2 - We KNEW who spoke better English. The only showcase the World got was Mortal Kombat: Conquest the tv series.
@@beeboo2523 Mate, it is very very true. He is, or at least was, a charisma free zone. He tried too hard to be JCVD. Even copied the silly mullet.
Watch his face in Bloodsport 2. There's just nothing.
His skills were great. His offscreen personality is very nice.
But acting?
Why do you think his best role is the Matrix agent?
I first came across Daniel Bernhardt on Bloodsport 2. Then, I was so hooked I looked up and watched the rest of the Bloodsport film series. Which he was in all of them. He was the perfect actor to take over after Van Damme. Van Damme is the reason why I love the first Bloodsport. Daniel Bernhardt is the reason I love the film series as a whole.
The butterfly twist of Mark Dacascos is really perfect!
This is awesome - Scott is a fan - and finds out not only he and Daniel are so similar in the their approaches and experiences, but Dan is a fan of his too - this is the dream!
Daniel is such a wonderful person. I never heard nobody speek so well about all his other coworkers like Daniel. Also Scott if you are reading this WE WANT ANOTHER BOYKA !!! You are absolutley amazing in that role !!
What about gary daniels next guest he's so huge martial artiste too
He's on the next one
i am remember Mortal Kombat Conquest
Yes, and his 540 kick in Mortal Cambat!
Too bad that one great martial arts actor alone wasn't enough to turn the show into something good. Still watched it back than as martial artist and mortal kombat fan xD
... and I seriously did and do not understand why they gave him the role of a maincharakter which did not appear in the games... he could have played quite some of the typical mk-characters instead.
@@jackmakmorn Yeah, you got right!
Mortal Kombat Conquest was a great martial arts TV series, excpetially for the MORTAL KOMBAT fans!
In my opinion Daniel Bernhardt caracter SIRO deserved to winning much more fights in this series but I know that main caracter was "The Great KUNG LAO". But guy who played him Paolo Montalban was a only actor, not martial artist. Every fight Kung Lao was dubbled by probably J.J. Perry, who played in this series Sub-Zero😃😃😃.
What a legend! Mr Adkins this series is just amazing Sir. I'm learning so much.
Next : Iko Uwais, Clayton Barber, Ray Park, Mark Dacascos, JCVD, Cynthia Rothrock, Benny The Jet Urquidez, Michael Bisping etc.
I loved Daniel Bernhardt in Mortal Kombat Conquest as Siro. He was so cool. Scott get Jeff Meek on next.
Bernhardt is awesome. So glad he’s enjoying a career resurgence these days.
I LOVE HIS STORY ABOUT JEAN CLAUDE VAN DAMME SO AWESOME BACK IN THE DAY 👌🏼
Daniel Bernhardt was to the late 90s and early 2000s what Scott is to the 2010s and 2020s: the man who most people hoped will become the next JCVD, but somehow Hollywood overlooked both so they ended up doing B flicks with a few exceptions of playing henchmen in AAA titles.
It sucks because in my opinion Bernhardt was the only man who had the moves that were somehow reminiscent that of Jean-Claude's! He had the elegance, had the looks, his technique seemed good (I have 0 martial arts knowledge).
They even look similar 😂
No charisma... They don't have the x-factor to be leading men.
@@DillaryHuffyes but the only difference is that JCVD is a Belgian while Daniel Bernhardt is a Swiss
Remember loving this dude on the Mortal Kombat series. He stole the show!! Was he not involved with the MCU also? I swear I see him everywhere.
Both are legends in martial art and movies. Different generation.
YES!!! Can't wait for this one. Must have seen bloodsport II more than 100 times back in the day.
So many potential Martial Art action folk to interview!
the split screen makes it look like Scott is preparing to stunt double for Daniel
Daniel is one of those actors that just shows up out of know where in a movie and I love love it every time.
He was great in Barry. One of the best episodes of TV.
When he talked about getting to use the nun-chucks, he was so excited, that he sounded totally Swiss all of a sudden.
Sir Daniel looks like young Sean Connery.
Younger Connery and older Gordon-Levitt! Combo
Good observation, man. I was sitting there the whole time wondering who he reminded me of.
I've noticed that too! Really, sir Sean Connery! And tall and more skinny Van Damme. But anyway, he is wonderful!
Yeah, I was thinking, I could see him as Bond, just from his looks!
Now that you mention it he really kinda is resembling the great sir Sean
These guys are so humble. They're truly BAD ASSES, but they're both so nice. I love it!!!
I will ALWAYS remember Daniel Bernhardt from MK Conquest. I saw Matrix: Reloaded in theaters and the instant he walked through that door I remember going "holy s$%&... that's Como!". Ever since then I feel like he's popped up in movie, after movie, after movie.. and I still have the same reaction. Very talented fighter!
I love the way Scott shows us his big smile every time in the main pics 😁
Love these two dudes. Great martial artists. I remember bernhardt in the mortal kombat series in the 90s.
This is probably my favorite episode so far, Scott. Daniel seems like such a humble and down-to-earth guy. Hopefully he can come back again for a future episode as well. I loved his stores.
SEEING THESE 2 TALK AND SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES IS INCREDIBLE. I'M A BIG FAN OF BOTH AND TO SEE THIS BLESSES MY DAY.
Really enjoying these talks. Great to get some insight from these legends’
Can't wait! Scott, you are doing great job!
Loving these interviews! My first introduction to Mr. Bernhardt was in Future War fighting dinosaurs and Robert Z'dar.
I remember this guy as a kid...he had Not aged! He was cool as an Agent in Matrix! I always thought of him more as a fitness model than a fighter
Absolute legends... both Scott and Daniel. Stand up guys and brilliant talents!
It would be nice if you could interview Cynthia Rothrock. ¡A great legend!
Interview of a lifetime! Daniels is the most underrated MA STAR. He is s true stand alone actor, and when he’s at his best, and it shows in MK The Series which really angered me when “it got canned” also, him in “Only The Strong” as bad guy was really impressive acting and shows his actor range
I've been a fan of Mr Bernhardt's work for a long time. So happy to see him getting bigger roles over the years!
It’s amazing how sweet these extremely violent actors are :)
We train so we dont have to fight!
Thank you both so much!!
Amazing to hear the mutual respect Scott and Daniel have for each other - would love to see you both kicking ass in a film together.
Both of these 2 are Underrated in Hollywood.
Firs saw Daniel in Matrix, he looked like a model that time.
Daniel seems like a really cool down to earth kind of guy
If Daniel Berndhart and Jon Hamm haven't played brothers in a film yet, they should.
Awesome interview Scott!, massive fan of Daniel and you. Wish many more years of entertainment from you both :)
This guy is a legend. Both his fight with neo in reloaded and the red circle fight in John Wick, while short, are some of the most exciting and aesthetically pleasing in cinematic history.
I can clearly see Daniel Bernhardt in his current age as Raiden in MK movie. He or Loren Avedon would be perfect
Eugene Peterson I think Scott Adkins would make a perfect Johnny Cage or Kano.
@@emilio2647 I would prefer to see him as Kabal or maybe Smoke, and with blindold, he would clearly remind me of Kenshi (actually, I have a theory that Kenshi in DA was based on American Samurai David Bradley if you look at his second outfit without blindfold)
You did it Scotty! Cant wait for this interview. This guys techniques was crisp, and on fire back in the day! Try to get Shannon Lee and Bolo while he's still around. Thank you for your passion brother. And please do a tutorial on leg sweeping when you can. Amen.🙏
Bolo Yeung would be epic! Not much information on the guy, would love to hear more about his martial arts background.
Would be great, but there is one handicap... Such as language barrier, because Mr. Yeung not much of a fluent speaker in English. If I'm not wrong about it.
@@Fretboard_Frenzy You're right. Plus he's too old. Let the man just chill. I'd say getting Donnie Yen would be better
Anyone watch the episode of "Barry" he was in? He was awesome.
With his crazy kid that did more damage lol
One of the funniest episodes.
It's so nice that Scott has had chance to interview his dad
We're so lucky to watch these interviews! When I saw Daniel's kicks against Neo in the Matrix reloaded, I noticed how clean his martial arts were. I had to go back and watch his other movies! Thanks for this, Scott!
I love this series!! Working your way up to JCVD Scott🙏🏽
One that popped in to my mind for sure, can't wait!
whoah, this guy has been in everything I loved to watch. Great acting he plays different characters every time, amazing - his fights are always highlights
Daniel Bernhardt is an amazing Martial Artist. It's always nice to see him on screen. I've been watching him, since I was a kid. I'm glad Scott was able to do such an interview.👍👍
TERRANCE OUT
Yeeeessssss this is awesome! Such an underrated actor/stuntman.
Waooooo I always thought Daniel was brother to JCVD.,THIS MAN IS HOTTED with his kicks🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
I discover Daniel Bernhardt in Mortal Kombat's serie but i forget i saw him before in Bloodsport 2 (I was maybe too young) but i recogniza directly in Matrix 2 then John Wick 1. Really good talk between both of them. I continu my journey into "The Art of Action".
Daniel looks like Sean Connery’s stunt double from his later Bond films. ☺️
Viperante, I was thinking the same thing. I would have commented if I didn't see your post.
This is a seriously great interview - one of the things I appreciate most is how understated you guys are - no need to prove anything and it shows
Great interview, very insightful and Daniel is a humble guy. Keep up the good content Scott
You have to love how humble and self deprecating these guys are about doing shit for a living that normal folks would literally kill themselves attempting.
I am sure I am in the minority here but I never knew who Daniel was. I mean, I saw him in Matrix, John Wick and he really caught my attention in Atomic Blonde but I never looked him up but now that I watched this, my man gives such a lovely vibe! Thanks, Scott! For doing this! Respect to the both of you and love from India. ❤🇮🇳
