If any band deserves to be in the Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame it's these guys. Great musicians...awesome vocals ... and a surprisingly diverse and timeless catalogue. Never get tired of listening to their stuff.
I'm sure they had many influences, as most bands do. But, where the Stones went dark, INXS went light ... in every sense of the word. That more than one band member is a man of faith probably has *something* to do with this. 😉
The biggest compliment that was ever paid to INXS was when the Rolling Stones released "Sad, Sad, Sad" off of "Steel Wheels" the year after "Kick". I defy anyone not to hear "Tiny Daggers" in that song. Praise from Caesar, indeed.
