Short-lived modeling career?!? I'm assuming they mean his short-lived reality tv career, because he actually did quite well as a male model. He was dubbed "The Golden Torso" by GQ.
I worked with him at New York fashion week before he was a top model. I was a makeup artist, and I remember him very clearly because he seemed MISERABLE doing the model thing. There were definitely male models like that-they possess a sort of macho “this is humiliating” vibe. Lol. He seemed unusually intense to me (I’m very easy going and extroverted). He was not rude at all, just very uncomfortable having his makeup done. I recall I even made fun of him and said something like: “you’ll get used to it because you are gonna be a top male model..” It did not surprise me one bit when he pivoted from modeling to acting. I did his makeup more than once back then and he was ALWAYS unusually quiet and reminded me of a dog being forced to have a bath. Lol. I repeat-he was never intentionally rude to me (I’ve worked with many top models and celebrities)-It just drove me crazy that he was so reticent to talk about himself-shy perhaps, but here he is admitting what I suspected: hated modeling.
Cómo se nota que no tienen en cuenta al público hispano parlante! En ninguna de las promociones hay un mísero subtítulo. No sé si nos consideran pobres o incultos, pero evidentemente no les interesamos.
I'm disappointed he talks so disparagingly about his modeling past, as if it's something to be ashamed of. He was extraordinarily successful, lots of male models would kill for the chances he has had.
I’ll watch any chat with Jamie. He’s so funny in interviews. Best personality ever.
