I have the select pro and c6 and agree that they’re great all mountain bindings.
I have the 22/23 Now Select Pros and swapped out the heel and ankle straps with Jones. Jones straps works so well with skate tech. Not a big fan of Bataleon but hey if their bindings and snowboards work for you who am I to judge.
What do you think of the beyond medals x union bindings? Currently have them on my spring break resort twin and excited to see how this combo holds up.

Now select pro’s are awesome in the pipe, and around the mountain, but kinda low on lateral play for rails.

I got the Astros two seasons ago from the Bataleon rep near me and they have been by far my favorite binding by far. I’ve rode the Malavitas, Burton customs, bent metal joint, now select pro, and a couple others I’m forgetting.
I’ve got the Select Pro and Astro Asym and love them both 🔥🔥
Which would you pick for all mountain freestyle? Looking at both currently 😊

Hi. Thanks for the list. I’m a beginner snowboarder going to take lessons. I bought yes basic and now I’m on the lookout for boots and bindings. Would you recommend union ultra? Or what? I’m thinking of burton ruler as I like dual boa. Please advise. Thanks!

Picked up a Spring Break resort twin - split between the Bataleon Astro asym and full wrap. Would the full wrap be too stiff on this board?
Not necessarily, it's personal preference.
How does the Ultra compare to the contact pro? looking for a new freestyle binding now that the contact pro is discontinued
It's the replacement. But it's damper, has upgraded straps, and is still a soft and playful binding.

I have the Bataleon Blaster Asymwrap for my SB Resort Twin. I'm thinking of ordering the canted footbeds separately from Bataleon when they're back in stock. Is there much difference other than the canted footbeds on the Astro? Highback any stiffer? Thx

@AngrySnowboarder honestly I don't know lol, the Astro's are priced a bit higher, assumed it was more than just canted footbeds that differs. I overlooked that buying the blasters as I prefer a canted binding, I have Now select pros and Nidecker Kaon plus that both have canting. Probably just buy the canted footbeds from Bataleon that work for all their models, luckily.
No I mean the footbeds are the same and should line right up with the chassis.
@AngrySnowboarder oh yes, sorry. They are interchangeable and will line right up. Just wasn't sure if anything else was different between the two models. Probably not much if anything, so I'll just swap in some canted footbeds and call it a day. I bought the SB resort twin based off your review, and coincidentally the Bataleon Blasters before seeing you rank their bindings #1. Anyways sorry this is getting lengthy, my local mountain (Big White) opens in 6 days. I'm gonna have a killer season with some help from your videos. Stay frosty 🤙
What would be a good binding for my full quiver? Or maybe is better to buy 2?

I have the Union Ultra 22/23 and bought yesterday the Bataleon Astro Asymwrap 22/23. Before I saw your video so I think I've made a good choice. I am gonna test the Bataleons the 9 and 10th of December
update? how was the bataleon astro comparison to ultra? I have the ultras but want to try something new, i mainly do park
@@potato6989I had blasters and they suck. They are like 1/2 the binding ultra is. Basically no dampening and I broke so many parts in 60 days of riding
I found some now pilot’s on Christy’s website, they gonna pair alright with an arbor satori? The bindings are on sale
They'll work, might be a little soft.
Hello Avran and TC. For k2 passport - surfing sidehits carving buttering - could you please help me out with bindings? I sold my cleavers as i will be riding more laidback. What would you choose between bataleon astro asym and k2 edition or k2 bond? I like response, lateral play and dampness but cant find any reviews on the new k2 bindings... so would really like to hear what you think about them
Have you looked at Salomon? Maybe a district team pro?

Is there going to be a more detailed review of the k2 edition or could you say if it has some drive and power to it? (Allready figured out the difference with bond: highback and pods)

Angry can you tell me the main differences between the k2 edition and the k2 bond. On paper they seem pretty similar. Is the edition worth the extra money.

Looks like Battalion just combined the Katana with a Strata. Sweet.
How do you feel about fix bindings? I was looking at buying the Nation for jibbing.
Nation is real good bang for the buck for what you get from it.

Can't be too bad though, they were in the honourable mentions on last year's list.
how do you feel about the nitro zero’s?
The heel strap is different that's for sure. It's not going to be for everyone with how it's got that asymmetrical cut out. There's a ton of lateral play in it and that's amplified by the mini disk.
@AngrySnowboarder The Zero is supposed to be a step towards all-mountain from the one, no? I just picked some up for one of my park decks, haven't ridden 'em yet, just going off the Nitro website. I weigh over 100kg, did I eff up with that mini disc?
@@thk8933 From the Nitro website "The Nitro Zero has become the freestyle binding of choice for many park lapping pros because it blends Nitro´s top performance technologies with a playful skate-like boot-to-board experience." Not sure where you're getting all mountain from that. You might have.
@@AngrySnowboarder I just realized I was going off a website from the Source snowboards, local shop here in Calgary where I picked 'em up (awesome place, they rock). On the the flex rating they include their take: 'Flex: 5.5 Scale (1-10) Medium flex. Versatility at its finest. From the park to the peak and anywhere in between.'
I think I may have effed up, but maybe not. They're for a dedicated park deck and I'm just over 100kg, with an 11.5 boot. We'll see.

Astro asym too much lateral for jones stratos? There's quite good deal in the local shop and have been thinking to switch out my old burton cartels (x). I've been fun lovin rider, but less buttery and more carvy w each year. I have amplid morning glory for deep days, could ideally have one binding for both. Would love to test now bindings but not very common in our region, local shop only has burton, union and bataleon
I'd go full wrap honestly.

Have you ridden this years after black? Seems a litter stiffer and more damp then previous years, more of an all mountain freestyle than park. Wondering your thoughts
