The RING oxygen monitor can give you clinical and diagnostic information about spikes in heart rate and drops on oxygen levels while you are sleeping. I think I would question the location of this device on the body. A Standard finger pulse oximeter has to be placed on the end of the finger preferably on the right hand middle finger.So I question the accuracy of this device with respect to oxygen %
Hi , thank you for your recent comments. You do have a valid point . For a quick read , the pulse oximeter may reveal a more accurate read on oxygen saturation by 1 or 2 percent points at best. But when left on the finger over a minute, the ring matches the reading pretty accurately. The purpose of the ring is to record heart rate and oxygen levels when sleeping. Which I find very useful for snoring and sleep apnea. Maybe next time I can compare them both while I am Making the video. I appreciate your concern. Thank you again. Luis @ ndxtesting.
Hello NDX, I had my 1st night using O2Ring, I had a sleep study done to determine I have sleep apnea, so I'm using RESMed10 for around 50 days now which helped me sleep. But last night the O2Ring shows 7hrs of sleep O2 (7.2), Drops (21) what does this mean? It was a restless night usually it's a lot better
Hi tweety, thank you for your recent comments. The RESMEd10 is a CPAP machine to help you sleep. Helpful but I guess uncomfortable. The ring is a sleeping device to track how well you sleep. 21 drops means oxygen levels dropped below normal values. 7.2 is your score. Which it’s still in the green zone. But we still need to know your heart rate and how low your oxygen dropped during REM Sleep. I will make a more advanced review on the device. I actually use it often.. thank you. NDX Testing.
