There was an unused Character in this game that few people only know of. She's from Wario Land: Shake it and her name is Captain Syrup.

Captain Syrup was planned? While I don't believe it unless there's actual info somewhere on it, I can say, she's not just from Shake It.
Syrup's been Wario's rival as far back as Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land and its sequel Wario Land 2, before finally returning in Shake It, and she hasn't really been seen since.

This was one of my favorites growing up! Really loved this game's style. Definitely one of the best Mario spin-offs to date, which is kind of surprising hehe. Really glad to see someone make video on it ^^
It would be so awesome if they could make another game that captured this game's magic. There's so many awesome characters they could add! Old ones like Hammer Bro (with Boomerang, Fire & Ice swaps), Kamek, the Koopalings, Boom-Boom, Pauline, etc. & new ones like Rosalina, Pom-Pom, Plessie, Nabbit, etc. Would be really fun to see what their special shots would be.
Speaking of characters... Since Square Enix developed this game, I thought it was always a missed opportunity that they didn't have Mallow, Geno and Boshi as a team/playable characters in the original game. Maybe they could add them in this proposed new game???

The models here look low poly; Mario Sports Mix actually uses the higher poly versions of these models (mainly the Mario cast; the Final Fantasy cast IDK, although the low poly models exist in the files of Sports Mix), while the DS version of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games recycles the low poly models (this applies to the Mario cast only).
