Absolutely amazing. So much harmony in the band. Nice arrangements and impeccable soloing. Birelli is a musical genius and a technical wizard. He excels in so many styles.
Only a few jazz guitarists hold my attention: Django, Joe Pass, George Benson, Pat Martino to some extent, James Muller, but Bireli has to be the best I ever heard.
This guy knowledge of chords and phrasing is like nothing I've ever heard and no not Pass or Benson quite do it like that. He's an artist like a famous painter we are witnessing him create art in music form. The perfection in which he performs with is so easy and natural for him its ridiculous there's no one like him although there are some that is his equal in talent he seems to have it all and plays flawlessly.
Thanks for share. Always nice to hear piece of inspiring jazz music. Bireli and guys rule! Musze czesciej do kraju zjezdzac na takie okazje..pozdrawiam;]
Interesting to compare this set to the one from 2014. I actually like the tone of the Yamaha Pacifica that he was playing in the older set more. These guys do seem a little tired in this one. Still they are great great musicians any time any place.
Exactly what I was thinking as I was listening. So in the groove with '60s Soul Jazz and yet, is it's own thing, it's own sound, a "We are here NOW" vibe, while laying in the cut made by the masters years ago. I love this sound, and MAN the sax is just BURNING.
Extra ! Super ! Génial ! Merveilleux ! Musiciens ! Merci !

Un grand bravo à tous les musiciens 👏👏👍👌🎼🎶🎼
Bireli Lagrene filled the void in my heart that was created after Wes Montgomery left. Love this man and his beautiful art!

Don't forget about Sylvain Luc...he's a different cat altogether.
Wes Montgomery
Stochelo
And John Scofield.
Many of Bireli's original tunes are also totally great! Bravo!
Pure gratte, pure son, pure chorus, pure groupe !!!
Great to see high end jazz and not over played, great rhythm by all
Bireli is great, but what about Franck Wolf!!!! What a pair. Saw them at Laon, absolutely top performances.
Bireli Lagrene MAGISTRAL!! Magistral cuarteto!!
je suis raide dingue de cette musique 😊

superb 👍
First tune sounds like something out of George Benson's Cookbook (or other albums from that time period).

Yes, Bireli is so charming!
And he looks at his neck, and laughs it off with the saxophonist. Freaking funny!
